I love the original chicken salad recipe, it tastes like the one I make at home. It's delicious

The chicken poblano soup is really good when combined with the classic carol. I love the wheat berry bread so much that I have lately been ordering a loaf to go. It makes great French toast. What I really love about the chain is their consistency in good, fresh sandwiches and the staff. Walking in to pick up a meal for four reminds me of the Mom and Pop road side stores where you could watch them make your meal. The option of family meal take out makes for a light meal with the girls while out shopping for the holidays. Nobody cooks, nobody cleans and we all walk away with a cookie. Our order was wrong my husband received some chicken salad with pineapple in it but he still enjoyed it! I've lived in Alabama six years and never tried this popular spot. A month ago I was really craving chicken salad so I decided to give the Chick a try. I was not disappointed, I've been back six times since. The second time I tried a croissant sandwich. It was very dry and stale tasting. So I just stick to the salad. The Kickin' Kay Lynn is my favorite but the Jalapeno Holly is a close second. Service is quick and friendly and the restaurant is very cute. Off night? Supply Chain getting real for you? I'm not sure, but this location is having troubles this visit. They have at least six folks working, so they are well-staffed. They have the demand, but the supply is short. I ordered online. When I arrived I was told after waiting 5 minutes they were out of my first two choices. I went with a substitute for the substitute. I stood by and watched others placing their orders walk away with their food. I inquired, and it was like the first time we had the conversation. Five minutes later, I did have my food. The food will be good, but three stars tonight. Minus one for not being stocked and me finding out after driving there. After a lackluster visit to Chicken Salad Chick a couple of months ago, we decided to give it another try. This time, I'm glad to say, everything was right in point! We got there relatively early for lunch, and even for a Monday there were a decent amount of patrons but that didn't slow down service at all. We ordered quickly, and before we even settled in with our drinks, our food came out. Since I'm a purest when it comes to my chicken salad, I orders the Classic Carol - chicken, celery and mayo. That's it. No surprises. The salad delivered - just the right combo of ingredients. The salad was served with buttery club crackers, a nice, lighter alternative to bread. I ordered the chicken and dumpling soup, and while I wasn't a huge fan, my girlfriends all ordered the potato soup and were happy as could be. We all got the broccoli salad which was a tad soupy with the dressing but still delicious. For $2, I ordered an extra scoop of pimento cheese which I took home for lunch the next day. (Trust me, get the extra scoop - it's one of the best bargains you can get at a restaurant nowadays.) We finished our meals with the delicious little cookie that came with our lunch. While it's only a couple of bites, it's a perfect, sweet way finish. While there were several guys eating while we visited, I still stand by my observation that this is more a girl's restaurant than anything else. So it's really more of a 3.5 for me but I didn't want to penalize the place for my personal preferences to some extent. I tried the Olivia's old south chicken salad on a croissant BLT style. Pros: they give you a decent portion, the bread options are good and you can even get it with no bread and just crackers which is a nice option. The chicken salad itself was ok, like it's seasoned which is more than a lot of places even bother with in general and it seemed very fresh. Cons: too much mayo, but I'll add I'm not a major fan of mayo to begin with and I kind of prefer my stuff to be less mayonnaise-y and I got baked chips but would've rather liked the option to get regular chips & pick the flavor. BBQ chips would've gone better. I'd try it again if the mood struck. read more

Sand which was dropped off at the table in dining room with my company (2 orders). My sandwich was missing the bacon. The child at the register just says oh guess they forgot it. This includes my choice of chicken salad (Classic Carol) on a croissant (my choice of bread) and one side. I always choose the pasta salad as my side. The Classic Carol Chicken Salad consist of all white meat, shredded chicken, finely minced celery, mayonnaise, & their secret seasoning. It is very simple but tasty. I really enjoy it when I'm in a Chicken Salad mood. The pasta salad they serve as a side is also very good. I enjoy the pasta salad. Wow, this was bad. The food reminded us of cold cafeteria food. We ordered the Carol chicken salad in a croissant and a turkey sandwich. I've never had an entire sandwich that was cold. Like even the turkey, bacon, and the toasted bread. The only redeeming part of it was the honey mustard. The chicken salad was bland. The chicken artichoke soup was just warm and was more like a chowder than a soup. I genuinely think that all of their food is prepackaged and microwaved in the back. The worst part of our experience wasn't even the meal. Just after I completed half the sandwich, I began feeling sick and had to drive home and immediately use the restroom. It sucks that I had to halt my entire day just because I went here to eat. Turns out that the food inspection score was an 80. I would not suggest that anyone else eat here. MAJOR SHOUT OUT TO CHICKEN SALAD CHICK IN MADISON!!!! We ordered via Uber Eats only to have a message sent from Uber saying the order couldn't be delivered. I called CSC to ask if they had been notified and Katherine, the manager, said no and the order was as ready but she had a number and would call Uber. I called her back and she said the driver cancelled the order Katherine asked for our address and she was sending her assistant manager Tim to deliver our food!! I was stunned! I told her I needed to pay her she said I'm not worried about that right now she just wanted to get our food to us! Tim was the nicest too!! Chicken salad chick has been sending me emails and notifications on the app for days advertising the bogo quick picks for Mother's Day. I picked CSC for my Mother's Day meal and my husband went by to order it because the online ordering was down all day. They were out of the chickens salads both of my sons wanted and they were out of all of the quick picks. They told my husband they would make him up new ones but because the coupon says "while supplies last" they wouldn't honor the bogo. That is just petty. Ive been to this Madison location twice now, and while it's *always* super busy, the employees are still friendly and the orders are accurate. There are many different kinds of chicken salad, for lovers of fruit/nuts, onions, spice, etc. They also have pimiento cheese and soups. They have handy to-go pints and quarts of every spread as well. An average lunch with two scoops and a cookie will run you about $9, with their sandwiches being about the same. Vegetarians could try to cobble together a veggie plate from the sides, but it'll be difficult. You have some soups, however, though the tomato bisque is not vegan. They're going to have to do something about parking, especially now that Teriyaki Madness is open. With just CSC, there was never an open spot, and people were parking precariously on the street. People are forever pulling in, doing something stupid, and leaving in disgust. I saw a lady literally park behind someone waiting for a spot to open and hovered there the whole time I was eating, only leaving when the car owner came outside to leave. But I'm not sure what they CAN do... we need a civil engineer and an architect in here STAT! read more

Despite it being located off of Hwy 72, one of the busiest highways in the Madision/Huntsville area, it was easy enough to get to and there was plenty of parking. And ya'll they have a drive-thru​. I repeat​ THEY HAVE A DRIVE-THRU. Back home in BHAM, none of our Chicken Salad Chick's have this luxury so I was excited. I pulled into the drive-thru, put in my order, and was greeted by a lovely woman at the window. She actually went through my order with me again just to make sure it was correct and I ended up remembering some things that I had forgotten to order. We wanted to love this place. As a family, we went to enjoy the food. Unfortunately, enjoyment turned to frustration and then to utter disappointment. First, my wife ordered 4 meals with fruit for the side. For whatever reason, they rang up our order only to come out to our table to let us know they didn't have enough fruit and wanted to replace the side with a different one. No sides worked for us based on dietary restrictions, so there wasn't an obvious solution. My wife was visibly frustrated and the manager did not work with us to deescalate the situation. They could have offered us more chicken salad instead. But they did not. Instead, as our meal was coming to a close, a manager passive aggressively brought out two cups of fruit, threw them on our table, and, then, withdrew to the kitchen without a word.
