@panera Overpriced for what you get to say the least. I ordered a broth bowl for $10 and it looked like someone in the back ate half my damn lunch. Prior to ordering I asked the employee ringing me up if it was big as I was so hungry. She said, 'oh yeah!' It was more like a big bowl with little in it!!! It was barely filled to the halfway mark!! I even asked the kitchen employee if that child size portion I got is how it comes bc the portion could have been put in a cup!! And she said, yup. And that was that. Over priced for what you get. The portions have gotten smaller and prices larger over the years. And they want you to tip!!! Ridiculous!!! For $27 for two people we could have went to a WAY better restaurant. My fiance and I visited this location last Saturday, October 15th. Upon arriving inside, he beelined straight to the dessert items. He noticed that there were several large flies on quite a bit of the pastries. I brought it to the attention of the cashier whom took my order and she went and brushed the flies off-- only for them to relocate to another pastry. ..So.. I'm going to steer clear of the pastries from now on... Food wise, I had the Sierra Turkey sandwich with the Mac & Cheese. Sandwich was delicious however the Mac & Cheese was quite soupy.. Which isn't a typical aspect of the dish. Overall- service was great, food was delicious like always, cleanliness definitely needs some help! read more

I absolutely love Panera Bread. I recommend their broccoli cheddar soup and also their French Onion soup. Their French baguettes are always on point. Their tea tastes freshly made. Their bakery items are always delicious. The only issues I have had is experimenting with their sandwiches. The sandwiches are hot and miss. So if you find one you like.... Food is great but some of the staff are not a happy bunch! I told the cashier I wanted my order to go but the person preparing the food had it to stay which was not a problem. However, when I told her she said "it's under to dine in" I said, I told the lady up front it was to go but she did not even say sorry and walked away while giving me a dirty look. I am ok with an error but if an error happens then it's the duty to fix the problem. I had to get my own to go box and I did it in front of her and left the dish there. Really disappointing. Have been a fan of Panera for years. I frequent the various Paneras back home at least every other week and it is almost always a great experience. I thought stopping in for lunch would be a good idea ... nope. Have stopped by three times thus far during my vacation. On each occasion I have found the staff unpleasant to deal with ... On one visit I asked if they had a particular bakery item and was told "if it isn't out, we DON'T have it" ... a simple no, would have sufficed. Tried to get a BBQ chicken salad for lunch on two occasions, they were out of the dressing both times (before lunch) ... Again, attitude: "it IS a seasonal item, and will be coming off the menu soon." Soup was served warm (not hot), bread is more undercooked/doughy than at other Paneras. This one also seems to add some sort of glaze to many of its pastry items (ie: danishes). In all, disappointing. It is worth noting, I wasn't even here during a busy time (maybe one person in front of me at the register when I walked in) I'd hate to see how this place functions when it is slammed. read more

Went around lunch time so waiting was expected & I had no problem with that! (Even though it wasn't even that busy). I was waiting for my food for a little while and in the meantime, was on my phone. I could hear them calling out other orders & I still looked up even though it wasn't mine. I couldn't tell you how much time went by after that because I finally looked up from my phone & my order was sitting there waiting for me.....annoying. After I received it and checked everything, the apple I had gotten with my order has some sort of shit on it. I literally couldn't even describe what it looked like but it was nasty. This Panera gets the job done--they'll get your order right, and the service is pretty quick, but everytime I come here (which is pretty often), they are ALWAYS out of something, and I have to adjust my order because of it. Not the end of the world, but still annoying. read more

The one star review is not due to quality of food. It is due to poor customer service, and not getting what you order. I have placed a few delivery orders. Each time some item has been forgotten. The door dash driver said it was not given to him, to bring. The person at Panera verifying the order did not check off the beverage, so it gets here without the drink for the second time in a row. When you call and talk to a manager they will offer you a refund, but they can not send you the beverage. I am a member of their SIP CLUB so the drink is free. So now, there is nothing to refund, but I am still without the drink I ordered. So they offer you a promotion that they don't seem to have to ever deliver on or credit. If you want to preorder from them I suggest you only pick the order up yourself. Otherwise if you do not get your entire order for delivery, you cannot get your food or beverage sent back out. read more

Definitely not a good experience. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches. I have had them at other Paneras and they are to die for. We got our sandwiches barely done (white) and cold . I asked to redo. The manager( I think) only one with a dress shirt, said if they redid the sandwich, then It would be black but if that is what I wanted, he would do it. REALLY??!! Told him I would take my chance, there was no difference. Brought it back en asked for new ones with new bread. Thy were better but not great. The staff was not that friendly either. Over $6 for a smoked turkey sandwich with thinly sliced whole grain bread, two thin, grizzly slices of lunch meat, a couple small pieces of lettuce, two thin slices of a small tomato, and NO cheese or condiments. For that price they should come up with some unique and creative condiments to put on the sandwich themselves instead of just supplying mustard and mayo packets. I ordered bread as my side and was given a tiny bag of chips. Only reason for the two stars is the friendliness of the cashier (despite her lack of order accuracy) and the bottomless soda fountain. Not a great visit at panara today. I didn't wait too long for my food and it wasn't bad. It never is. I think they have a pretty consistent product. My issue was with 2 things. The cleanliness of the dining room was horrendous. I would have walked out if I didn't already pay for my food. And they ran out of chips and apples for sides?!?! I was offered bread as a side for my sandwich. That made zero sense. Then I went to get soda and they were out of Mountain Dew. Panara has a good business model, they just need people to execute it. I have never been to this Panera bread store. And decided to try this one because the one I usually visit when I'm down in Florida and Port Orange got some bad reviews and some other problems. I think it was a mistake to go to Panera's in Daytona I got a grilled cheese sandwich and if I could put a picture up on here I would make you sick. One slice of cheese and burnt and he put it together and you wouldn't see it unless you opened it. Tast was terrible . I went and complain they all had different reasons for Getting burned. This Panera just has bad service consistently. We've only come here once in about six months even though it's right by our university. We avoid this place because they somehow always forget about one of our orders or take 30 minutes to make the food even though we're the only customers waiting (like tonight). read more

This Panera was not up to the usual Panera standard. The dining room hasn't been cleaned or vacuumed. The french onion soup had no cheese (the best part). I brought it back to the pick up counter and the girl literally sprinkled a bit of parmesan cheese on top of my soup. What? No offer to remake it with the gruyere cheese as indicated on the menu. I ordered via kiosk and had to go back up to the pick up counter to find my cookies sitting there. I also didn't get a silverware spoon nor my baguette. I've never had a good breakfast experience here. Don't go in before lunch. Breakfast sandwiches are thrown together and are often soggy and cold. It'll make you sick. I visited Panera Bread today at Daytona Bch., International Speedway Blvd. I now live in Deland, FL and don't have a Panera Bread near me. I normally enjoy their healthy food selections and look forward to being near one to eat there again. But my visit today went horribly wrong. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life. I like Panera because they usually offer a nice selection of meat free tasty selections. I chose a veggie sandwich, that I usually have and a bowl of soup from today's selection. It was "Potato Soup." Period. They didn't offer a buzzer to alert me to when my order would be ready. They said they would call my name. I noticed others with buzzers but I accepted their offer to call my name. When they didn't call my name after I had made a point to stand near the area where food is prepared, I finally approached them to inquire if my food was ready. Of course, it was and had grown cold setting there. They said they called my name. Obviously, I was within ear shot and I heard them call others' names. They ignored the situation about my food on the counter growing cold and stale When I begin to eat the " potato soup" I noticed something didn't seem right. After a few bites, I stopped eating and asked the cashier if the soup contained meat. She didn't know. I walked toward the food preparation area, encountered a man who looked like a manager casually walking behind the counter. I asked him about the possible ingredients in the soup. He didn't seem to know but checked and informed me it contained pork. I told him I didn't eat pork and he asked me why. I was upset that I had taken a few bites of it and now he seems to think I should eat it. Or at least, explain to him why I don't want to eat it. He should have noticed I was upset that I had actually eaten an animal when I wasn't aware the potato soup contained meat. I told him I was upset since it was not obvious about the meat in the soup. He replies " well, it is a loaded potato." I told him to look up there and read it please. It said " Potato Soup." Not "loaded, not meaty," just potato soup. He didn't seem to understand at all but finally offered to allow me to replace it with another soup. I asked him for a refund and he complied without saying anything. I then told him I was going to finish my sandwich and I would never return. I brought the soup back to him on a tray. He finally said, " sorry about that." I believe for one, Panera Bread is misleading to list a soup in such a way that implies it is meat free. The employee who may also be a manager didn't seem to care that I had unknowingly consumed meat and that I was upset. He was not engaging with me regarding my plight. His attitude showed and it wasn't nice. I will never eat at Panera Bread again. And I told the manager?/employee that. I could see he didn't care about my plight and the disgust I felt from eating the pork. He seemed to think it was ridiculous that I don't eat pork. Wow!
