You know a sandwich shop is going to be good when there is an Italian bakery next door! Nelly's is a great place with Deli Creations (build your own sandwich) hot or cold subs, grilled panini; and even pizza!!! The staff are friendly and the space is nice for a deli with loads of room. When you walk in, you can smell the quality!! You get loads of options with sides (three kinds of fries) Food is awesome! But subs and deli creations are the definite go to. Pizza is also excellent. read more

My wife and I are semi regular customers and have enjoyed each meal every time we were there. Chrissie the front counter hostess is very personable and really great when explaining what the different menu items contain. This is your typical sandwich shop but is always clean and neat. It is located in a 2 shop building with a bakery in the other shop. You can't go wrong with any menu item. Tou will leave the shop more than satisfied with the meal and the staff. read more

First visit and had a good sammy. Ordered a Manny's Combo sandwich (heated) on deli bread vs a sub roll along with sides of potato salad and macaroni salad. The sandwich was flavorful and stacked with generous portions of meat, overall a really solid sandwich. Both sides were also good, but nothing noteworthy. Unfortunately, the inside space itself lacks ambience and comfort. Staff was very helpful and friendly. read more

Nelly's Deli in Daytona Beach is fantastic. We have always seen it passing by and today we went. It was absolutely the best sub I have ever had and I have ordered subs everywhere. Their side of 3 potato salad was also delicious. Their bread is made in house by their bakery (Sorrentino's) who also supplies a lot of local restaurants with their bread. The owners were so fantastic, saw us waiting outside at 10:50 am and opened their doors early. You can eat there; it is a sit down restaurant, order to go, or do Door Dash. I had a turkey and pepper jack sub on a toasted sub roll. My son had a panini. Can't wait to go back, maybe tomorrow. read more

I enjoyed my lunch from Nelly's Deli. I think this is because the customer service was exceptional. What a friendly person at the front counter! She welcomed me, took my order, and was pleasant. As for my chef salad, all ingredients were fresh, prepared with care and plated/arranged attractively. The food was ready quickly and I was soon on my way. Literally found a dead insect in my food. That was enough to make me throw up. Definitely worst place I've ever eaten at. Save yourself and get a Publix sub or even Subway. The risk isn't worth it. read more

Iwas hungry and driving by when i saw the sign. Went in and ordered the Mannys combo sangwich. I was surprised that it was full of meat and pretty good. I will be coming here again. Went back here after a year or so....found it to have declined in food quality (see my picture upload of burger). 3 of us ordered; one got an 'angus' burger, two got cheese steaks. About 5 minutes after we ordered they told us they were out of steak fries so we opted for onion rings which were clearly frozen product and not that great. The burger and one steak and cheese came out. The burger was super-tiny especially in comparison to the huge Kaiser bun they served it on. The bun was very dry and had been heated to make it even worse. The patty was lost in the bun so it ended up being a mostly bread experience in each bite. The one steak and cheese which arrived was super salty - almost inedible. Not a lot of meat either like I remembered the place. The 2nd steak and cheese arrived about 5 minutes later. This one was completely lacking any seasoning whatsoever - so I added salt and pepper. The people here are very nice but we won't be back here again. Added list to the very long list of places to eat in Daytona which you DON'T leave satisfied! read more

Daytona is severely lacking in good lunch restaurants. Especially ones that deliver. Nellys serves your typical deli food. A variety of sandwiches, panini's, salads, etc. They use Boars Head meats, which is a plus, and have terrific, homemade bread. Those are the ingredients of a great sandwich. A big drawback is that they make salads using shredded lettuce. That is just wrong. If they could change that, it would be even better. read more

Called for delivery at work. The girl on the phone was sweet and helpful and made a great suggestion. She told me the Cuban was the way to go so i listened. Great choice. Amazing flavor and size! Some say the pastrami is the best ever other says the pizza is to die for, well today it seemed most people came for the pizza but I had already decided on the pastrami before I pulled in the parking lot. This was a giant sandwich freshly prepared while I waited, really good fresh rye bread, spicy mustard, swiss cheese and a lot of hot from the grill pastrami (deli sliced but I knew that coming in). I got here a few minutes after they opened so there was no line and the woman working the register was so friendly and accommodating, the older gentleman I presume is George was busy tending to the pizzas and sandwich orders that were coming in. I planned to eat this outside at one of the older tables and chairs which I found pretty cool so told her that and she had the sandwich put in a container and didn't bag it but ensured I had plenty of napkins. The sandwich was $17.04 with tax so there went my twenty dollar bill with the tip. Well that seemed a little expensive to me until I opened it up once I grabbed a seat in the shade and found it was easily enough for two or one with half to take home. There are a number of reasons I give them 4 stars but honestly the sandwich was at best a three, it was a little chewy with maybe a little too much time on the grill. I'm happy I was able to experience this place and I'm planning to return to experience a few slices of pizza (two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a can drink for $8.00) sounds more than reasonable to me...
