    Broccoli and Cheese Breadbowl
    Lisette D.

How Panera Bread Briefly Turned My Office into a Cozy Rainy Day Retreat Let me take you on a culinary journey to a place where the weather outside is frightful, but the soup is so delightful. This isn't a holiday song remix; it's my lunch-hour saga at the Panera Bread on International Speedway in Daytona Beach. So there I was, braving the elements - think less "brave explorer" and more "I forgot my umbrella" - on a quest for something warm and comforting. Enter the hero of our story: the Broccoli Cheese Soup in a Bread Bowl from Panera. I picked it up, safeguarding it like precious cargo back to my desk, half expecting to open it to find a soup-cicle instead of my lunch. But lo and behold, Panera must've cast some kind of warmth-retaining spell on it because it was still piping hot! The bread bowl had the crunchy exterior of a well-loved home, while the inside was as soft and welcoming as a favorite couch. Pouring the soup into its doughy cradle was like setting up a home inside a home, and for a moment, as the rain pattered against my office window, I was transported. There I was, not at my desk, but curled up in an invisible cozy nook, the kind of comfort only a rainy day and a perfectly warm meal can provide. But as all good things do, my lunch break came to an abrupt end. Reality crashed back as the last spoonful of soup was savored, and I was rudely awakened from my daydream by the ping of an email - back to the grind with a sigh. Yet, I was content, my belly full of warm soup and my heart a little lighter all thanks to Panera. It's not every day your lunch gives you a brief holiday from reality, especially on a cold and rainy day in Daytona Beach. So here's to Panera Bread, for making me forget I was eating at my desk and not in a cozy, rain-kissed cabin. Just maybe next time, could you throw in a pause button for my lunch hour? Lastly, here's to Panera Bread for not just satisfying my hunger, but also for providing a momentary escape from the daily grind, all with a side of excellent service. Rain or shine, I know where I'll be heading for my next lunchtime retreat.

Their new you pick 2 menu has a lot more options with most sophisticated ingredients and exciting dressing options! The sandwich and salad combos are great! I ordered online and was able to tailor pick ingredients for everything.

    5 Bites!

My $7.00 Mac and Cheese had 5 bites! I asked if they could fill it a bit more and they said that's the normal portion size. Well, good to know because I won't be back, and this visit reminded me why I haven't been in over a year. With so many other great affordable options that taste delicious, this place better step it up or it will be joining the list of closed establishments. Also, it took forever it put my order in and they didn't even call my name when it was placed on the counter.

What is going on with panera? My mac is barely 3/4 of the way filled. You guys are skimping out on the portions. the customers are rude. Some lady yelled at me for just looking at her food. Almost every table was dirty. Panera is my favorite place to eat but i will never ever be returning to one ever again!!!!!

One is the sandwich and the other is a piece of bread. Can you tell the difference?

Very disappointed with Panera Bread. My sandwich and soup was just simply not worth $25 even with free delivery. The sandwich was less than half a six inch subway sandwich. You could even see the ingredients. Very sad sandwich. The soup was very small portion. Just save your money and choose another place for lunch.

I'm not a huge fan of Panera these days. The brand has gone way downhill. However, this was like going back to when Panera was the joint. Everything was superb--food, service, cleanliness. All you need to know.

    Mediterranean veggie sandwich! Try it!

$20 for a salad and small drink. Brown lettuce, barely any chicken or other toppings, and sugar in the dressing. Gross. I feel ripped off.

That is exactly what we were looking - something local owned and preferably family owned. When you walk in, you're made to feel like Family, and that is excellent! The food wow the portions are humongous. I have to start with that. You definitely will not leave here hungry! The corn beef was fresh. I wished it had more onion and some bell pepper, but it was still great. I sampled the chicken salad and that was out of this world and the hamburger looked fantastic. As we were leaving, they had just put out muffins and cinnamon rolls. What a tremendous tease! Here it is Passover so I cannot have it and pistachio muffins are my favorite and they looked phenomenal. I was so tempted to break Passover so early for the looks of that muffin, but I knew it was a test that I had to pass. That was not easy! This was definitely worth the drive and the value for the dollar! Next time I am in Daytona, I will be visiting again and Katie bar the door if there are no pistachio muffins, ha ha ha they were even warm!

I quite like this method since you don't have to think about the various ingredients to order. The serving size is good for ~$18 a pot, and comes with a good selection of ingredients. You can add more ingredients for additional cost, to further customize it. The presentation is beautiful- the hotpot is served on this beautiful "platter" with room for a heated flame to keep your pot warm as you eat. Individual hot pots are also more hygienic! I tried the healthy veggie pot- delicious and tasty soup! I enjoyed my meal. My parents enjoyed the kimchi hot pot and beef noodle soup as well. There is also a good selection of appetizers. Service was excellent, attentive and quick. The restaurant was fairly empty/ quiet a little after usual lunch time (~2pm) on a Sunday. A great addition to the Daytona beach area! Worth checking out and I will be returning the next time I'm in the area.

I was eyeing everyone's plates to see what others were getting and it all looked amazing. The place was packed for a Monday lunch rush and it makes sense why. This was his first night and was equally as good as the primary server, except he had to get help on a few questions we had that related to how to use certain sauces etc. And he got the help very quickly. We started with the pork belly. Fried crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside. It was served with what looked like marinara, but it had an amazing spice mixture in it. Spices as in seasoning, not heat. The best pork belly I have ever had, I could eat just this, and if I were alone it would be enough. We had a cup of hunters soup and polish mushroom soup. Both were very good. I would skip those next time to save room for other things, but only because I would rather eat other things. There were enough tables to seat quite a few people without overcrowding anyone. As a main course we decided to split the polish sampler. 2 potato pancakes, 2 cabbage rolls, 8 perogies and a polish sausage. We didn't know how big the sausage would be so we ordered a side, we did not need it. There was so much food, we did not finish it all and my wife had some for lunch the next day, and still there was leftovers. The place is hidden in a 3 story shopping center, but well worth looking for.
