    French Dip
    Cameron C.

I ordered the French Dip. I was a big fan of the au jus as it was packed with caramelized onions. The sandwich was cheesy but felt lacking. They have kiosks to order you food which was easy and a streamlined process. My partner got the caprese sandwich and cheesy broccoli soup. The sandwich was okay but also felt lacking. The soup was quite yummy and thick. Interior was quiet and well lit.

We have tried this Panera location before and have had good experience. My sister and I were in Davis and wanted to have lunch and decided to go here. We both ordered the new Strawberry Caprese Salad hers with chicken and mine without. We both enjoyed our salad. It has mixed greens/ arugula, mozzarella, strawberries, and balsamic vinaigrette. Always love arugula in salad. Love its peppery taste. The flavor combination is good. Good service with one associate checking how our food was. Everybody was helpful. The place is like a maze though. I feel areas are kind of closed off from each other and not open. We like Panera and will sure to come back when in town. Thank you.

Panera bread is a reliable place to eat! I love their value duets - I usually get a half smokehouse sandwich and tomato soup. The tomato soup is not my favorite, but you can't substitute on the value duets. The smokehouse sandwich, on the other hand, is amazing!! Great flavor. I also thought their shell Mac n cheese was delicious. They also have student discounts and rewards so definitely take advantage of the deals that are applicable to you. For those looking for a place to study, they recently added signs on the tables that state you cannot stay more than 60 or 90 minutes. I am not sure how much they enforce this. The music also plays pretty loud so bring your own headphones.

Where to start... I was looking forward to a Napa chicken salad sandwich which I learned is discontinued, so I decided to try the basil BLT. This was a terrible choice... the bread was drenched in aioli/mayo. After a messy first bite I grabbed a paper towel and scraped as much off as I could, took another bite still an issue, flipped the sandwich over and proceeded to scrape it ofd that slice of bread as well... really didn't help much each bit it was still squishing out of the sandwich... seriously how much does anyone need ? The lettuce was drenched in it so took the wilted leaves out of my sandwich left with two scrappy pieces of bacon and tomatoes.. and a cinnamon sugar taste... not sure how but every couple bites was like biting into a churro.

    Reduced portion. Soggy tomato.

I ordeded the cache creek caliente panini for $15.16. It was a sizeable sandwich that was accompanied by a small serving of potato salad and cucumbers. The ingredients tasted so incredibly fresh and cohesive! I was surprised by how tasty and filling the sandwich was, as I ended up taking home leftovers -- despite my appetite. The only downside to this cafe is that it isn't conducive to studying online! The connectivity in the area was quite poor, but does not take away from this cute, cozy cafe!

We wanted something light and fresh for breakfast, so heres what we ordered: * Spring Mix Quinoa: It's a bed of spring salad mix with quinoa and fresh sliced avocados. It was incredibly refreshing and delicious. The dressing wasn't too heavy or overpowering, but it tied the whole bowl together perfectly. * Berry Mix Yogurt & Granola Bowl: Simple, but done right. the berries were super fresh & I loved that the granola mix had walnuts in it The service was quick and friendly, which made our experience great. If you are looking for a nice breakfast spot in Davis this is the place to go.

The line actually moved decently quickly to get to the counter to order and pay. Food took a little while to come out but it did not disappoint. We ordered a lot for two people -- the chicken pesto crepe, the Crepeville French toast, and a half order of the sweet date salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! I especially loved that the French toast had a banana bread base. The salad was refreshing and had a variety of textures. The crepe was a great savory brunch option, and the potatoes were excellently seasoned. I look forward to coming back to try more off their huge menu!

We lucked out with quickly getting a nearby spot & joined the line around the side of the building. The line moved at a decent pace. There are 2 sections of indoor seating & some outdoor seating along the sidewalk with some of it covered. Signage is posted to wait until you have an order number to find seating, but it appeared a few parties didn't honor that. You order at the counter inside & find a table. The menu is on big boards above with some items displayed on smaller boards on the counter. Handheld menus are also available. Specials were on a board by the door. The style inside is older & worn with character. There are big windows, but with all the dark wood, it didn't feel bright where we sat. Faint music plays, but is mostly obscured by the sound of fellow diners who are at tables that are situated closely. Tables have padded chair & wooden bench seating. Our order-- Chicken Pesto Crepe with Spring Mix Chicken Pesto Crepe with customizations & Potatoes Canadian Benedict with Potatoes Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with Spring Mix & Potatoes Strawberry Chocolate Crepe Water, ice cubes, & lemon slices are self serve. It was a bit of a wait for our food that came out at the same time. We all really enjoyed our food! The crepes had a good amount of tasty filling--the savory had great cheese pull, the sweet was loaded with melty chocolate. The Spring Mix Salad came dressed with a light, sweeter dressing. The Potatoes were soft & mashable vs being firm cubes. Staff we encountered--from ordering to serving to clearing the table to leaving--were friendly, helpful, & personable.
