Yes, I am home with a fractured foot so I ordered a sandwich and salad combo too and lemonade for dinner. The honey went out and picked it up and even I had specifically asked for no nuts on the salad had no problem getting that I changed the bread out on the sandwich because I can't eat their rolls too hard for my teeth. Everything went wonderful. It was so big that we only finished part of the half salad and all of the sandwich and we have enough salad for Tomorrow. We got the chicken bacon ranch grilled on sourdough and then we also got the strawberry poppyseed salad with chicken. It was delicious. Everything was just the right temperature was fully melted. Everything was top-notch. I haven't gotten regular food like that there in a long time and the lemonade was cold it was wonderful and they give us a separate cup of ice because he needs help to get the stuff because his hands aren't well so we were pretty excited. I recently joined Panera bread's sip club. A friend told me about it. I highly advise everyone to go out run over to a Panera bread and join the sip club. It's freaking amazing. They give you unlimited drinks for the month and it cost $11.99. Yes that's correct unlimited drinking for $11.99 per month. Are usually hit them twice a day on workdays for a large iced coffee figure 20 days per week that's 40 coffees all for $12. Here is a list of what's included in the drinks hot coffee and cold coffee hot tea and cold tea all fountain drinks all Energizer fruit drinks/fruit teas I think there's more but it's fabulous I should start getting a cold drink for lunch since it's only a few blocks away from my job. As for the location all the workers are usually very polite and extremely helpful. The location is clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. If you wanna dig in on the computer or a book they actually have a working fireplace I believe it's a gas fireplace but great ambience. I called and spoke to a manager Brian, at store 2131 in Billerica Massachusetts. He was patient and kind while listening to my situation. He gave me some excellent advise which I was going to follow up on his suggestion. He promised to keep me in mind, if anything should become useful, in my search. He went above and beyond to help me get the information I needed. He actively reached out to other managers, called me back a day later, and was able to point me in a better direction to help me find what I needed. What is so important you might ask? My mother in law is 100, will be 101 in December. I was fortunate enough to gift her some of the old ceramic bowls when the change over happened. During thanksgiving, the bowls became part of her Christmas wish. She loves and enjoys them so much, and wants a few more. Unfortunately, I have yet been able to find anyone or business to purchase them for her. New or used Brian did give me the company name that Panera used to supply them. The worst customer service and consistency I've ever seen at a restaurant. For the 3rd or 4th time, they completely got the order wrong. Chicken salad instead of a turkey sandwich. Ordered delivery on their website, which they outsource to DoorDash. The correct order was delivered, as evidenced by the ticket on the bag, but with the wrong contents. Management refused to redeliver and blamed DoorDash, who aren't supposed to open the bags, leaving my wife without dinner. You're better off with any other fast food. "Do you want to come in tomorrow for a free sandwich? We can't refund you unless it's a certain amount." Previous times included the wrong sandwich, requiring me to drive back and forth, to replace it, and I had the audacity to ask for a new soup because it was cold now, and they told me to microwave it. read more

Short version: Small portion, low quality ingredients, incorrectly prepared order, and highly overpriced to seal the deal. Don't go here for breakfast. Full review: I stopped here for breakfast this morning because it is close to my office and I've been wanting to give it a try. I used one of the self-service order stations with the touch pad because I find it easier to customize and make sure my order is put in right. It was quick and easy, a very smooth experience. So far, so good. However, there was no direction as to where the food would come out, so I just assumed it would be brought up to the main counter where I was and I waited there. About 10 minutes later, an employee came around the corner and asked me if I was waiting for something, and then told me that my order was ready and had been sitting up on the counter at the pickup window, all the way in the back of the store, around 2 corners and totally hidden from the front of the store where I was. Someone at the front counter could have easily addressed me and told me where to get my order but they couldn't be bothered. Anyway, the real reason for the two stars is the food. I ordered the maple glazed bacon, egg and cheese wrap and a Madagascar vanilla cream cold brew, customized to have 1 pump of vanilla syrup instead of the default 3, and milk instead of half & half. The coffee came out with no milk in it, but the order summary on the receipt said "no half & half" and nothing about adding milk, so that seems like a flaw in the system and not the fault of whoever prepared it. Not a big deal, I just added milk myself at the coffee station. But even with the milk it was way too sweet, so I think they put the full 3 pumps of syrup in it. What is the point of customizing if your choices are either ignored or not translated properly by the system? Extremely annoying. Not to mention it was over $4 for 16oz. The wrap 1) looked nothing like the picture 2) was about half the size I was expecting and 3) had two flimsy little pieces of "maple glazed" bacon and an overcooked (tasted microwaved) egg patty in it. The bacon looked like the fully cooked microwave bacon you get at the grocery store. Small portion, low quality ingredients, and a high price that now seems outrageous for what I got. I actually feel ripped off. Bottom line: skip this place for breakfast. This was my first experience, but these things are basics that there is no excuse for and safe to assume are not a fluke. If you want to overpay for breakfast, go across the street to Starbucks. At least you'll get the high quality to (somewhat) justify the price. read more

Let me say, there is nothing worse then picking up, getting to work and seeing the sandwich is all jacked up with disgusting avocado! Rude staff, poor quality management of prepared food. Panera as a whole since their revamp of locations a few years ago has gone down hill. Smaller portions, higher prices, smaller menu, strange self-serve kiosks. I used to go to a Panera in Newburyport MA to play board games with my children every weekend and it was great. the staff often gave my children free cookies and knew us by name. That was 5 or 6 years ago. This Billerica location is near my work. I have visited half a dozen times. Their chain's overhaul has changed all Panera locations into a much more generic-corporatized non-ambience aimed at higher turnover and getting people in and out as quickly as possible. Fewer, far fewer outlets to plug your laptop into, easier to prepare (by microwave) menu items, odd, customer unfriendly store layouts (maybe it works for the employees?). but this location is by far the worst location I have ever visited, going above and beyond in all the problem areas. Often out of menu items, simple things like BREAD. Staff is atrociously vapid, rude and unmotivated. Not just dismissive, outright rude. 5 out of 6 orders I have made there have had things missing or incorrect. And it is a new location not even opened for two years I believe. So this represents the direction they want to go in. Which really boggles the mind. It seems someone in their company has decided profits need to be maximized. read more

I normally like the food at Panera but this place is an exception. I like the salads at Panara but the vegetable at this place are never fresh. I've now ordered from this place 9 times and 6 out of the 9 times there was spoiled letus in either my salad or sandwich. It's not just the letus either. The coffee hear is often burnt and has a stale taste to it, which makes me suspect that they don't clean thier coffee machine. Most of the staff have been very friendly, but the last time I complained to the manager about the food and coffee she told me "that's just the way it comes" and gave it back to me. The orders are always wrong, and this has become a stop when I'm in a hurry and want to get my daughter something a little better than a typical fast food sandwich. This morning I ordered we ordered a smoothie and bagel for her and a hot black coffee and bagel for me. Service was pleasant but very slow, and my mistake was to not check my order when I left. My black coffee had foamy milk and neither bagel had the correct topping. We didn't have time to go back, and I know it isn't the end of the world. My first and last time at this location. The building is new, clean, and beautiful! I was so excited when I walked in! But everyone I encountered was rude. The service was HORRIBLE. The woman behind the counter seemed bothered she had to take my order--she had a drive thru head set on and was periodically talking on it. Then she stared at me and I said "do you want me to order...?" because I really couldn't tell. I gave her my order, a breakfast sandwich with overeasy egg. She read it back to me correctly. I paid. Then I went to wait at the pick up counter. While waiting I could hear the woman who took my order laughing about how she accidentally hung up on someone. Then two people asked me what I was waiting on (in front of each other) and I responded. One of them put it together and asked a third employee to put a scrambled egg on it. I walked up and said if that was mine, I ordered an overeasy egg. The guy asked if I was "Rachael" and I said yes and he said "so now you want an overeasy egg?" Ummmm? Yes, that's what I ordered and what was read back to me. No employee seemed to understand what their task was. I think the employees who put the sandwich together were trying, but they were just so confused and stressed out. Meanwhile the restaurant was nearly empty and I only saw one car in drive-thru... Maybe I will try it again in 6 months to see if they worked out their problems, but as this location is only 1 mile from my office, it is a shame it's not a reliable breakfast/lunch option. The coffee is excellent and the staff all seem like they own the place because they are wonderful to deal with, extremely helpful, friendly, conversive, and after a few days they memorize your order if you have the same thing every day. Told the delivery kid, and he said he'd be right back. 30 minutes later, I call Panera to find out where it is, and the woman who answered said she had the food and the kid was right there. 40 minutes later, still no food. Call back and am told I have to contact Door Dash because it's not her responsibility anymore. Door Dash told me I don't exist in their system. Friday, October 26th, 2018. Third time to this newly opened Panera Bread. The place looks likes a restaurant that could have been designed by Chip and Joanna Gaines on HGTV. The down side to this very inviting environment is the food quality and service. Friday morning around 7:30 am placed order through mobile app. Ordered food 25 minutes before arrival. Restaurant wasn't that busy. 1st: They just started making the two (2) Breakfast Sandwiches when I arrived to pickup. 2nd: Both Breakfast Sandwiches were made wrong. 3rd: The eggs on both Breakfast Sandwiches were cold. 4th: The Hazelnut Coffee Urn was completely empty. 5th: The Coffee Cream Carafe was almost empty. A lot of friendly staff on this Friday morning, but so disorganized. This seems to be the same issue across the board for Panera Bread or maybe there are just less people willing to actually work for their wage.
