Mashed potatoes - very creamy, like puree
    Anita L.

Super popular for takeout when I went to pick up the order. The bone-in chicken does in fact take 2 hours - I placed an order online and they called to double check that was alright with me. I also got to try the mashed potatoes that are only available after 4p! We were so hungry that the only photos I have are.. not very photogenic. Hot bone-in chicken - chili oil poured on it with the chili flakes - I didn't find it that spicy to be honest Original chicken - everything seems to come with a sprinkle of parsley, sea salt, and chili flakes - it's very pretty! The original has some sweetness due to honey they drizzle on top. We liked this more than the hot one, but I'm not sure about planning 2 hours in advance to get it when they have so many other great dishes. We also got the roasted broccoli (yum), beets (served cold, yum for me but may not be for everyone), side of mashed potatoes (very creamy and tastes like homemade potatoes), and a side of gravy (herby white gravy). I also added on a side of the flank steak because I was curious and it was delicious (like the chicken, it was topped with sea salt, parsley, and chili flakes) The banana pudding had some butterscotch I think, which went well. It was rich but not too sweet. It's a denser pudding (as opposed to say Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding which is very fluffy), so I couldn't finish it in one sitting. It had a best by date for three days from now. The chocolate chip cookies were the most disappointing, tasted a little chalky. The only other thing I'll say is that everything is aggressively seasoned - I like salty food but this is bordering on too salty. We're excited to go back to try more dishes!

This is the first time for us, My wife and I, to have a dine in at Nan's Kitchen in Westford. We ordered the 3 and 2 (original bone-in 3 pieces of chicken and 2 sides) and a chicken tender (original) and mashed potatoes. The bone-in chicken were 1 drumstick, 1 thigh, and 1 half of a breast (hmm?). It was finished with sea salt, paprika, spring onion, and honey drizzle. It was delicious, the flavor was very good, skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. My sides were the roast carrot with miso and the sweet potatoe wedges. The sides were okay but the bone-in chicken was excellent. The chicken tender came the same way as the bone-in chicken, sea salt, paprika, spring onion, and honey drizzle. It was okay, part of the issue was the breading on the tenders did not cover the entire pieces so part of the flesh was exposed to the hot cooking oil, causing the tender to be much drier than the bone-in pieces. If they double bread the tender, it may help retain the moisture of the tenders. I would rate Dave's Hot Chicken's tender is better than Nan's. The mashed potatoes was amazing, very creamy and smooth.

11 out of 10 for this new place in Westford! This is the third location for Nan's, but this is the first time we have tried it. We will definitely be back! While order ahead is available we opted to order when we got there. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We both got the farmhouse bowl and tried different options. I could not finish my bowl, it was filled to the brim. The farmhouse bowl comes with a base and three veggies, plus a sauce. I got the harissa faro, which is cooked and served with chicken peas and golden raisins. This was topped with spiced carrots, cauliflower gratin and Brussels sprouts. For my sauce I got the zhoug, which is the best I've had. It is house made and just a little spicy, allowing the flavor of the spices to shine through. My husband's bowl contained the brown rice base which had walnuts and cranberries in it. He also got the Brussel sprouts and cauliflower gratin but opted for the charred broccoli. The other nice thing about Nans is that they offer large cups for the free water, instead of the tiny three oz cups most places provide. The dining area is clean and well lit.

We seated ourselves at the bar, and we're given a cursory glance by the bartender, but no other greeting until minutes later. And even then she didn't introduce herself or ask if we'd been there before. (It was steady but not enough to not welcome guests to the bar.) We ordered drinks (nothing really special or new, but the drink prices seemed decent). Then we ordered dinner - a pizza for me and spaghetti for her - but again, nothing worth going WOW over. My pizza came out first, which was a surprise, and then minutes later her pasta. The pasta was a bit salty, while the pizza was a bit flat with a rather bland plum tomato sauce. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and wish we could have sat outside. But we doubt we'll be back.

Approachable menu with as much fusion as authentic Korean. -- Chicken Wings: Jumbo wings with extra crispness and an inner texture varying between sufficiently moist and gushingly juicy, depending on the piece. Always liked them, and I tried twice more recently with similar positive results. Excellent flavor in both the Soy Garlic and the Sweet and Spicy Gochujang. Superb, and with no price hikes in at least five years, now an excellent value too. -- Kimchi Pancake: Crispy on the edges and fluffier inside, with kimchi adding some crunch and nice flavor to go with the starch. Thin dark sauce to complement it. I think of it as a Korean cross between scallion pancake and egg foo yong. Good for sharing. -- Seafood Jampong: A large bowl of seafood stew with a red broth that has some creaminess as well as spice. Nice texture and chock full of large mussels, scallops, shrimp (gigantic Gulf shrimp as well as baby shrimp), Asian squid, and noodles. The squid was a little chewy, but everything else was cooked beautifully. This dish satisfied both in the restaurant and as leftovers the next day. Inside, a long counter a la Chipotle, with only three tables of 2 for dining in. The menu is mostly wings, boneless wings, and south shore style bar pizza. The wing toppings are your typical flavors, notable for two heat levels on the Buffalo and almost as many dry rub options as sauces. -- Wings: Went with Mango Habanero, which was typically sweet, but had a bit more heat than most renditions. The wings were fairly small, marginally crisp, and more than marginally juicy. They seemed to cool quickly. Decent. -- Fries (on a combo): Hand cut, long, a little dry, and very crisp, like Durkey potato sticks from back in the day. -- Coleslaw (on a combo): Small container of crisp but heavily mayo'd slaw for a creamy antidote to the hot sauces. -- Boneless Wings or Tenders: Even though I prefer bone-in, these were the hit of the meal, bringing large pieces, nicely battered to a bumpy texture, with very juicy white meat underneath. I went with the Wicked Hot Buffalo, which seemed fairly mild at first but gained heat significantly as I went along. More importantly, a proper Buffalo, with plenty of tartness to go with the pepper heat. Slightly chunky blue cheese. Friendly service, with meal brought to the table. Fairly good value. The flavors didn't blow me away, but certainly pleased enough to come back and try more of the sauce and rub roster.
