Traveling north on 495 at around noon time, I took the Littleton exit hoping to find a local place serving lunch. The sign for this pizzeria and sub shop drew our attention so I pulled in hoping to find pizza by the slice. but was told only full size pizzas are offered on Sundays. After reviewing the overhead menu, my wife and I settled on sharing an Italian cold cuts grinder. I am not sure what passes for a grinder in Littleton, but what was served bore only token resemblance to what I call a grinder. The wine vinegar was MIA as was the oregano. Where's the meat? 3 extra thin slices of inexpensive sandwich meat on a large, overly bready grinder roll proved to be underwhelming. Also, can anyone spell tasteless? This was by far the worst grinder that I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Come on Littleton, you can do better than that.

Somewhere between 2.5-3.0. Seeing how my office is a couple minutes away, I think I've been to the sub shoppe maybe one, two, 50 times?! lol Lets just say there aren't too many options in the area. At Littleton sub shoppe, there is a pretty extensive menu, unfortunately most isn't all that great. Some of what I've tried over the years(and how I rate) Pizza---2.5 Chicken wings----2.5 Fries----4 Steak bomb---3 CheeseBurger---2.5 Chip selection---1.0 The exception to this is the chicken parm sub(4.5!!) which I always find myself going back to. Two pieces of chicken breast piled on top of provolone cheese, with loads of marinara sauce. I can't tell you if it's freshly made(doubt it), but it's good!!

Cheese Pizza, I started to eat it and then I remembered that I wanted a photo, sorry!

I have been eating my way around all the pizza shops in this area, and this is my favorite one. Best cheese pizza around, and I have had it three times so I can confirm with precision and accuracy. Most recent update comes with a picture of a small vegetarian pizza.

I stopped by the Sub shop on two occasions and both times I had to tell the guy making my sandwich to please use gloves. The person was clearly annoyed when I asked for this simple request. If the person preparing the food is actively making sandwiches and that's there only task that fine but when your are making food, handling money and moving recycle boxes around then you need to clean your hand and use gloves. Needless to say they do not worry about clean hand when preparing food in the backroom. I have not returned there.

If you're looking for upscale boutique sandwiches, curated charcuterie boards, and a cozy atmosphere with owners who truly care, this is the place to go. My family and I discovered them a couple of years ago, tucked under the West Acton Village building, and they've quickly become our favorite sandwich shop and gourmet cheese market. My son, who is in college always makes a point to get their sandwiches when he is back home. Their sandwiches are upscale, boutique creations. Our family favorite is the Ploughman's Lunch: rosemary ham, mango chutney, pickled red onion, cheddar, and lemony arugula on a Portuguese roll. It's the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and fresh. Our second go-to is the Pig and Fig, which is just as delicious. They also have gluten free bread available. In addition to the sandwiches, their cozy shop sells cheeses (if you love blue cheese you have got to try Rogue River!!), charcuterie, natural wines, craft beer, and carefully curated accompaniments like jams and chutneys. I've gifted their chic napkins and artisanal jams many times, and they always make the perfect host or hostess gift. They even carry unique finds like Bret's goat cheese and chili pepper potato chips, which I can't find anywhere else! On Fridays, they even have free wine tastings, which are such a fun way to discover new bottles. The owners Dawn and Tamara (aka Eve and Murray) are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. You can tell they put thought into every cheese, wine, and gift item they bring into the shop!

There's fancy wine, cheese, snacks, interesting ceramic items, wooden spoons and serving plates , toys, etc. After looking around and selecting a few items (some honey, a dark chocolate espresso bar, and 2 small toys for my grandsons) ordered a couple of sandwiches on some fresh baked rolls, Watched the lady make them and then paid $60. Yes it's expensive, but I think it's worth it.

The place was quiet, which allowed Ben to sirens time talking to us and giving is the ones and outs of his creations. Our server was Sienna, who was bright and personable, and worked side by side with Chef Ben to make our meal memorable. We started our meal with oysters. Chef gave us his recommendations and they were has delicious as he hyped them up to be. Then we tried the lobster guacamole, which the star of the shows was actually the bacon lardon that's layered in. A must try for anyone who loves this dip. I had the pineapple braised pulled pork tacos. I could barely finish two, yet alone the 3 healthy sized tacos. And my girlfriend was treated to both the crab cake and the specialty salmon cakes. She proclaimed the salmon the winner of that cake battle. For desert, which we didn't finish either, was the berry cobbler. I compared it to an oversized toaster strudel, but homemade and much more flavorful. Overall, we love it here. This is our 2nd trip and we'll be sure to come again soon! Pro Tip: sit at the Oyster Bar, watching the kitchen working is a phenomenal experience. Thank you again to Chef Ben and Sienna! And look, they also have events coming up!!

There is also a cool vibe like an upscale sports bar. Unfortunately, the food in Littleton was terrible and the service a bit unfriendly. I tried to get the attention of one waitress from the adjacent table to all ask a simple question. She walked by me twice without stopping. And, on the third time, she told me "I can't help you I'm not your server." The restaurant management needs to come here and up the game.
