Went to Pandor Bakery twice this week in Market Place. It is an unassuming bakery that delivers a pretty good product. The carrot cake is definitely a winner; love the cream cheese frosting and the cake is moist and flavorful. Had the iced horchata latte with a shot of espresso which was delicious. The lemon tart honestly was just ok. The macaroons my kids ate all of them so we did not get to try any. We will go again to try more items from the menu but so far very good. read more

What I find worse than the incident, is that no one from Pandor is monitoring their emails.. Has Pandor turned into a chain where no one cares about quality? Where the lovely homey feeling of great bread, breakfast and family bonding was once the guaranteed ambiance has now faded into a sad corporate money making factory of mediocrity? So sad. Because they have the best tropeziene (?) cake that I have ever had in my life. We ordered the Lebanese breakfast and the ratatouille eggs Benedict. When we got the meal, neither had the fresh bread with it. We had been told beforehand that the Lebanese was missing the merguez, but when it came all it was three eggs, salad and cucumbers. The entire good part of the breakfast was missing no lebneh, no bread. Seriously DISAPPOINTING -- incidentally the cashier should have asked how I liked my eggs as a reminder, which she did not. I forgot as well so that's my fault, but still. When we asked the server why so many pieces of the breakfast we're missing she went back and forth with her manager with us a few times before she agreed to give us another breakfast. We asked to speak to the manager but the server said that she was too busy for us. SERIOUSLY!!! She took the sad little pretending to be Lebanese breakfast away--- if she had allowed us to keep it, we could have started eating together. Instead, she took the plate away and said that she could not give us a new breakfast unless we have it back. SERIOUSLY!!! As a result, no one on the table ate until the replacement meal came... That's just manners. By that time the eggs Benedict came, the first breakfast was cold. With both meals the food seemed less in quantity and quality than last time which was about two months ago. Over all this was an insanely disappointing experience. There is an issue in staff training, in the kitchen and how issues are managed. I'd like to speak to a manager to discuss this matter before I decide to bring guests back to Pandor again. read more

This restaurant is phenomenal. Amazing breakfast, lattes, & pastries. I love when traditional food spots incorporate modern creativity. OMG latte: you delicious, creme brûlée latte, you! I cannot say anything else but amazing. It comes with a piece of OMG bar which is delicious, flaky, and light. Beignet Benedict: delicious and perfectly cooked. I love the salad and dressing it came with as well. (Side note; I've been watching master chef and this breakfast plate is def up there in terms of quality. Came in for a quick stop to grab a pastry and to check out a bakery near me. Grabbed an almond croissant and was excited to try it; however, the texture of the croissant was weirdly chewy and gummy??? It felt like I was eating mochi. Almond croissants are supposed to be flaky and taste of almonds but this one felt so weird in my mouth and there was barely any almond taste. So now I'm just eating what feels to be an old, weirdly chewy indistinguishable pastry. It's also pretty flat so I have no idea what they did to it. Many almond croissants I've had are still tall, buttery, and flaky, so having this flat, soggy, and chewy pastry was a huge disappointment. Maybe will try other pastries sometime soon, but don't come here expecting a good almond croissant. read more

OMG was I ever impressed. Went at 1:30 on Sunday and restaurant was busy. Only about 8 available tables open. Order line was handled very efficiently by the staff. Food was delivered to our table within 8 minutes. What impressed me the most was the employees. Everyone was busy either serving customers, clearing and cleaning tables, or attending to customers. This facility has hired and trained their employees correctly. It was my first visit, and after visiting today I will frequent this place more often. Food and ambiance are great. Come early before 9 am for breakfast if you would like to easily find a table. We tried the Lebanese breakfast. It was fantastic. Scrumptious in fact. I had them change the bread with one with no seeds. Very accommodating. Very picky about my coffee, the owner who is the barista at least every time I was there is very accommodating. There baked goods are outstanding. Thank his wife and partner for those. Long lines after 9 and tables at a premium. read more

I'll tell you from experience that It's not. I worked at a coffee shop for 2 years myself and ovens/microwaves weren't "off" until we were actually closed. Had the Parisian sandwich today, loved the crustiness of the panini bread and the sour gherkins give it a nice accent. The butter croissant was nice but not awesome, even when heated. Food items were left on top of the case uncovered and flys were landing on the food. Another customer pointed this out to the employees working and they didn't seem to care, they made no attempt to put the items in the covered case. I respect a business being busy, however, I imagine flys landing on food and it still being served has to be some sort of health code violation. read more

Honestly one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and croissant. Every time I have the intention of picking something up to go, I always end up staying because the environment and the service is so welcoming, I can't help but want to hang out there a bit. Today there was a new person behind the counter making drinks named Cristofer. I ordered my fave, the "OMG Latte", and I was sitting down at my seat when I glanced up and watched him put the finishing touches on my drink. The effort and enthusiasm he had when creating my drink, made me eager to taste it even more. When he finished my drink, the pride he carried behind his smile as my husband picked up my drink, defines what good customer service looks like. Of course the OMG latte made me say "OMG" as I sipped my first sip. If I could put zero stars I would. Went to have a pastry with my daughter and she ordered pumpkin spice latte. We got cappuccinos with no flavor. We had to ask for plates, utensils. We asked for dining in and they put our pastries in bags. We understand they were trying to close early, but we weren't the last guests to order. We won't ever come back. As someone who worked in fine dining, the way of cleaning was disgusting and not correct. What I saw wasn't up to health code standards. read more

The best almond croissant I've ever had. The lavender latte was so delicious. I had it with oat milk which is optional. We also tried the OMG butter cake which was OMG literally. My husband had the chocolate hazelnut cake which was tasty and fresh We were lucky to get there before a line formed and I did notice the line was moving slow but they were well staffed, but well worth the wait. Honestly this was a rather disappointing meal experience. The food descriptions sounded very impressive but the reality was very boring, dull and flavorless. I had an omelet that was over cooked, not much of the bacon, onions or cheese. The potatoes they offered were terrible, no flavor and way too many peppers! When My friend received her omelet she had a nice piece of white-type bread, when mine came I had something that looked like Rye.... I patiently waited for Pandor to move into the Marketplace during the pandemic... I wasn't sure what to expect and wished it might be a bit like Porto's, but it's not. The logo and decor have a subtle Parisian style, but I'm not sure about the "Lebanese influence" other yelpers have mentioned. Something is missing from the ambiance; I cannot pinpoint it, but at least the ambiance isn't bad. There's a bit too much going on in this small retail space... but the diverse offerings may help with survival during this economic time. Between the display case / counter and dining tables, retail displays feature packaged tea and packaged breads for gifts and takeaway, respectively. I stopped by in the afternoon, after any lunch rush, and browsed the display case with its beautiful macarons and decadent pastries. But gelati was more attractive on that sunny day and I got a scoop of the stracciatella. The line wasn't too long, but I was surprised to find a line mid-afternoon. The server politely provided a few tasting spoons to ensure my selection. As I enjoyed my dessert, I knew I'd return to try the cubano sandwich as well as the coffee station at the front of cafe. read more

So I've visited this bakery at least 6 times before writing this review and the conclusion is that this place is inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get a superb meal (which is why I kept going back) but other times the food is passable, but the last time I was there today was simply bad. They put so much sauce on my sandwich it was inedible. Interestingly, I've ordered the Via Havana sandwich at least 4 times and each time it's different. Sometimes it has pickles and jalapeños, sometimes it doesn't, other times it has sauce and sometimes it doesn't. They don't seem to follow their recipes so the meals are just random. Also, I understand everyone is short staffed so I don't judge that part of the service but when you're served, staff isn't necessarily friendly. I get that they're busy but doesn't mean you have to act annoyed. This is not a one time observation, it's always been like that. After today, I've decided I'm not returning. It's too inconsistent and lacking customer service. Hopefully things get better soon. read more

I have yet to try their food or savory items but I had the almond croissant, almond chocolate croissant, cream puffs, and a couple of items that I don't recall the names for. Every item was delicious. Cream puffs weren't out of this world and although very tasty nothing special. The almond croissants both types however were the best croissants I've had. They have this filling that is neither custard or cream in consistency and texture but it is so addictive! I've been trying to take it easy on the carbs but this item totally knocked me off of my low carb kick single-handedly! You have to get the croissants. Although I will say in terms of aesthetic appeal the croissants if you only look at them might not seem appetizing because it looks more like croissant gloop than the traditional fluffy type. Service was self serve for pastries but good. Ambiance is just a traditional looking cafe nothing too special but I am definitely going back to try their breakfast items! I had really high hopes for this cafe, let me start with the food was delicious until I found the end of a banana that was already black and slimy. I had ordered a Pandor club and it had fallen out from my sandwich, when I mentioned to a employee he was trying to figure out what exactly it was. He said he thought it was an egg plant but it was very noticeable that it was the end of a banana. He then proceeds to get it with his hands from my plate with no glove instead of taking the whole plate away. He apologized about the banana and said he was going to talk with someone and to see if there was something he was able to do or give me a free pastry. I lost my appetite after that because he touched the rest of my food with his hands when he reached for the banana. He never came back. I would like to say they need to train their employees on how to handle situations like this, because no restaurant or cafe would let employees touch guests food if there's a mistake. read more

Very excited to have this open in this neighborhood. We've been patronizing the original location in Newport since it opened. Was a little disappointed with our recent visit. I ordered an omelet and asked to substitute the side salad for fruit. I was told that there was a $3.50 upcharge for the fruit. I was ok with that knowing that fruit costs more than lettuce.
