I've never been at this location and was excited when I saw it. I was shopping at Costco and even though I was filled up with samples I wasn't going to pass up eating at my favorite Chinese restaurant. I've eaten at the Gulfport Ms location numerous times and it never disappoints! This place sucked! Everything on my plate was either cold or lukewarm. I didn't go back for seconds or dessert. I cannot recommend the food but the staff was nice. The dumplings had no flavor. The General Tso Chicken and all chicken dishes tasted bland. In fact, my table all agreed that nothing tasted like Chinese food and certainly not the western style Chinese food you find in the typical buffet. We tried almost every dish on the buffet can several of us concluded that the sweet and sour soup was the only dish that had any flavor. The place was pretty packed but the floors were covered in spent food and napkins. The staff we met were courteous and timely but that didn't make up for the total lack of flavor in every dish. I am not a Chinese food snob at all but I have eaten at almost every Asian food restaurant in Mobile and this is the absolute worst by a long shot. I know a lot of people like this place and that's fine. I visited once, I will not go back and it's 100% because for the cost, it's not worth the total lack of taste. Even the ice cream tasted tasteless. On a chance, we tried the Mac&Cheese. I'm 100% sure that if there was any cheese in there, it was like eating over cooked elbow macaroni in a tasteless cream sauce. Tried adding salt but nothing brought any flavor out of it. Again, the staff were nice enough. The entire rest of the experience was a loss. They should apologize to the rest the Chinese restaurants in Mobile for bringing down the food taste quality in the city. I didn't dare try the sushi. Looked very old on the bar. In the 45 minutes I was there, 90% of the sushi hadn't moved and had dried out. read more

The restaurant looks very nice, as does the layout of the buffet. As far as the food goes, some of it hasn't been what I'd call hot every time, and the quality has been just okay. I've found the seafood options to taste better than the typical Chinese options. Overall, I would recommend Panda Palace more for the seafood experience than the Chinese experience, but in Mobile, there are many better options for seafood than a Chinese buffet. read more

Good sushi. Excellent entree variety but a bit heavy on the chicken. Probably the worst hostesses I have ever seen. One kept slouching over the podium. The other was chewing gum. Neither greeted us. Just asked, "how many". The hostess pointed at my son. We assumed that she wanted to know his age since there is a discount for children. Seriously. I won't be back. I am sick of poor customer service. We all should be because it's factored into the cost of your meal. Why should we pay to be treated as if we are in a prison lunch line. read more

The service was extremely poor and the bar does not keep the food warm so everything was cold af. But anywho, I arrived around 3:15 and had my first plate . So at 3:35 i go back for round 2 and they now have snow crab legs. I grabbed a plate and loaded it down with snow crab legs, when all of a sudden the manager runs over and snatches my plate out of my hand and yells ( SNOWCRAB FOR DINNER CUSTOMER ONLY) and walks off ! Meanwhile I'm embarrassed as hell. Seeing that the check doesn't come until AFTER you eat, I don't understand why they didn't just charge me for the dinner buffet. Some of the food was a bit warm and almost at room temperature but hey, it's a buffet what more do you expect!? Apart from that minor gripe for a Chinese buffet the food was very good! My wife loved the crab legs and for me I enjoyed the sushi bar. What impressed me the most; this was about the first Chinese buffet that I've seen in probably over two decades that was very CLEAN including the restrooms. It didn't look run down and tired like a lot of the other Chinese buffets in Mobile I've been to nor did it have a suspect odor. I went to China Doll earlier this year on Airport Blvd. and McGregor and that place was pure filthy and the food was tepid and bland which is one of the main things that will stop me from ever going back to a Chinese buffet. Thankfully I also didn't see and cockroaches running around like I have several times before at other Chinese buffets in Mobile! Cleanliness and food quality are highly important and I hope Panda Palace keeps those two standards up. Recommended! read more

In short I would avoid this place. The staff were friendly and attentive enough but the food was a 1 at best. Its been about a week since we dined here. We had been at Best Buy purchasing a refrigerator and needed a time out to discuss the options. We had recently relocated from living in South Florida for three years. Before our move there I had never tried chinese/sushi buffets, they kinda scared me. But while living there we had come to be regulars at number of places that had pretty darn good sushi and crab legs on buffets (Ginza, Ichiban, Ichiyami). Not the case here, it was non-edible, granted the places in Palm Beach were much pricier than the Panda but well worth it. I tried the sushi and after one taste I was scared to eat any more. My wife tried the stuffed shrimp; she ended up choking on the hidden peelings. the shrimp had most the peelings left on. The amount of stuffing hid this fact. I could go on but trust me, there's gotta be better places to spend your time and money. read more

The food is good but the some of the workers have bad attitude and like to talk behind your back and in your face and stare you down while you get your food and act like they can't fix your bag and hand your your stuff. Great food. Very fresh and trays on the buffet always stayed full. They had everything you could imagine. So many different kinds of sushi. About $14-15 a person but worth it. By far the best Chinese buffet in mobile. Staff was very eager and very clean. I give it a 5 star! read more

This is a great new Chinese restaurant in my hometown. They have a killer staff and the food in this place is epic. The sushi is surprisingly creamy in a good way. The atmosphere is very trendy and the buffet has a massive value for the price. I will return here again sooner than later . read more

Went to this restaurant because I knew it appealed to a guest that was with me and at the same time they usually have a section that has "kid friendly" food. Not only was the small amount I put on my plate HORRIBLE but there was absolutely no service. None! Then after they've over charged for crap my child did want some ice cream & I said ok..but while she's trying to eat the only thing edible in my option (looked pre-bought) so that's my assumption? The waitress that we hadn't seen during the time we were there keeps coming back to our table with ANGER with the 'pay book'(already paid) demanding tip money by slapping it every time she passed it for crappy food and no service I did leave $5 that at the moment don't have but not recommended and i highly doubt anyone would ask if it's good or not but if they do... no!! Typical low quality Chinese buffet. Lots of cheap and greasy food. Low taste factor. Didn't find this place the least bit enjoyable. The only positive was the relatively new feel to the atmosphere. Saw a police officer pay just before me and he didnt even get a discount. I prefer doing business at other restaurants. Overall food is good, BUT service is horrible, the waitress took our change and when asked for it she threw it at my sister. Also she tipped herself on my debit card payment and when I called the restaurant she said that its normal for them to over charge then check back in 3-5 days and it should reflect the correct amount. I've never heard that before. Not sure why they think it's legal to tip themselves without permission. BE AWARE!! read more

if I could pick no stars I would.. We went to eat there after seeing the new Halloween light display at Hank Aaron stadium.. the kids were starving.. and it was right by Hank Aaron.. I will never go back.. I left hungry because I just couldn't eat anything else there.. their food is bland.. it is way over cooked.. sweet and sour chicken is rubbery, noodles were dry and completely without any seasoning of any kind.. I wouldn't touch the Sushi there.. if their other food was that gross no way I was touching that stuff there.. and for a family of 4 eating at that buffet cost us over $50! that is WAY WAY to much for the selection they have there.. read more
