The food was bad. There's no other way to say it. I put 6 different items on my plate to try. All 6 had flavors ranging from undercooked to straight up sour. Not a single one should have tasted like that considering 4 of the six items I got were variations of chicken, of which NONE were listed as "sour" anything. Disheartenin. Had high hopes. First, the good: My eggroll and wonton was delicious and red sauce flavorful! The hot and sour soup was on point. Lo mein was yummy and not greasy. Chicken dishes above average and peel and eat shrimp were fresh and clean! Lots of sauce options! But the star -- the fried chicken wings! They were some of the best I have had. Period. They were slightly curried and delicious and juicy. The not so good: Some dishes especially the seafood and sushi, were mid to not good. The stuffed shrimp and sushi bordered inedible. I'll start by saying I don't usually dine at buffets, so I don't expect much from them in general. On this day, I was super burned out on everything else and had just finished shopping across the street. I was hungry and had to be at work soon, so I decided to give it a try. You pay upon entering at a cash register counter and let them know what you'd like to drink. $22.00 for a Chinese buffet--wow! A little on the expensive side, but I figured I'd still give it a try. The seating is comfortable, and the servers are great. They checked on me several times without hovering. The buffet was well-stocked for the most part, especially considering it was 2:30 in the afternoon. The food review: It's nothing special. The food was all very bland and lacked sufficient seasoning. I primarily stuck with proteins, as my dietary restrictions only allow for very minimal carbohydrates. Again, the food was very bland. Definitely not worth the price. Food: Some of the worst tasting Chinese food I have had. The shrimp and crab left an after taste for almost 2 hours. The simple things like meat on a stick was not tinder and bland. Went there two hours before closing, grab a few crawfish. They only put a few more during that time, which I was able to put on my plate. Once I put the crawfish on my plate, a little girl who works there looked at me so nasty, started complaining in spanish about me taking them all (just imagine, one plate is all they brought and I took...). Solid Chinese buffet. They have a decent amount of options and I've always been happy with the food served here. I really like the salt and pepper shrimp and the seafood options in general here. They also have the sesame balls with red bean paste which make a great dessert. While the ice cream hasn't changed due to covid times, I do think the big tub definitely tastes better than the individual sized ice creams most buffets are leaning towards now. This would have been a better review had it not been for the frontend worker by the name of Jakayla. Mom and I were meeting a group of friends (this was our first time here). Mom's wasn't hungry so she asked if she could just get a soda, as she was being social. She was rudely told no, no exceptions. Fine no problem, we complied. However when other members of our party arrived, one of whom had just returned from her doctor after having surgery and wasn't able to eat after paying. She asked if she could get a to-go box since she didn't eat anything and had already paid. Again Jakayla told her: no she would have to eat in the restaurant no to-go box. My friend explained again her situation. Then something I've never heard or seen before: Jakayla then ask for proof of my friend's surgery or documentation otherwise no to-go box or money back. We have been regulars here for several years. I was a little disappointed when the crab legs and frog legs were taken off the buffet but I can understand since their cost has skyrocketed. We've recently been going on weekdays and have been very pleased. The best upgrade they have made since opening was to put some pleasant people to greet you and take your money.
