My food was very fresh and service was great! I ordered a variety of things so I was shocked to see and taste that all of it was fresh and it wasn't old. Some of the Panda Express's don't change the food often enough if it not a popular entree. They let it sit and be stale. Definitely that wasn't the case at this location! read more

I was walking down the street and they said it was the best Restaurant from China around town. I asked a baby and even they said they were #1. This review is for the Panda Express in Yucca Valley. Really bad attitude. Gives small portions, always out of something we want. Gets our order wrong frequently. Still, it is the only one in town and we go there a lot. The last time my husband ordered he ordered two large entree size honey WALNUT shrimp. Not a single walnut in either carton. We went back today. The person at the window was just rude and told us that last week they were out of the walnuts. I asked her why they didn't tell us that when we ordered and she just shrugged her shoulders. When I asked her to compensate us in some way, she refused. So I spoke with the manager and she said that not having any walnuts was common, like that somehow justified it. I told her that was not true. I told her that we eat there frequently and have never had that happen before and that had we been told that they were out of walnuts, we would not have ordered it. Remember, this was two large entrees and we were charged the premium price that they charge for this dish. I finally convinced her to give us extra walnuts this time and she did. Neither person apologized nor made any attempt to be helpful. If we had any other decent Chinese restaurants in this town we would never go back. read more

I ordered rice orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. The only edible thing out of all of it was the orange chicken. The rice was sooooo hard it was like eating it raw. Then teriyaki looks so unappetizing but I tried it anyways and it was like pure rubber. read more

Panda Express always delivers when it comes to flavors and freshness. Haven't found anything on the menu I didn't like which is why they were rated so high. There is the occasional hiccup of long lines or messing up an order but they are more than helpful just correct the mistake and usually offer something in return. read more

We waited for probably 25 min after going through the drive thru, as they had to make more chow mein and said "it would take 5 min." Well we waited so long, watched other people who got there AFTER us get their food before us. The staff was not even helpful. This is a fancy Panda and has a tea bar. The layout is nice and open. This Panda is very well staffed with friendly helpful staff, it's clean and has a drive thru. The food is Panda Express food and prepared the best it can be so no complaints here. read more

Great service. We ordered via the drive thru. It was our first time and the young man taking the order was quite patient with us. They actually forgot the apple juice we ordered. And while normally that doesn't constitute 5 stars, their behavior afterwards does. Food is good, when you get it hot. Normally they have to make something on the order and have you pull in to the reserved spot to bring it out to you. The only problem with that is that they have already given you the food that was ready which makes all else cold by the time you get it. The food wasn't as fresh as it could be, wasn't very warm and portions were small. Only two of the many employees had customer service. We usually go to the Panda Express in the lower desert and it's good. But here in Yucca Valley, I felt rushed in line, every time the for opens, an employee yells "Welcome!" at the top of his lungs (very distracting) and the teas were terrible. Panda express here in the high Desert is great! I love having the franchise here! The service is good, but it could use a little bit of help. I only say this because I could see some of the workers need a little motivation, but for the most part they do a good job. The food is good for being fast and I've never had any complaints about it being cold or undercooked. read more

They keep everything so clean! While she was talking she was wiping the counter down. I love when people care that the food stations are clean. Great way work! I have never eaten at Panda Express before in Yucca Valley but I'll return just for the service. I'm sure I'll be here often as my parents love the food. The food trays didn't look very full when we walked in however they filled them up very fast and went right back to cooking as more customers were walking in behind us. The line is long but the wait isn't short unless you order items that are made by order, but they did give an estimated wait. The wait was under estimated so I suggest order those times only if you have the time to stay. read more

The food was a little bit cool when I got it home which means that it probably was sitting but a quick warm up and it was very tasty. The white rice was crunchy and dry. It had brown rice or maybe even fried rice flecked throughout the entire carton. The egg roll was soggy and overwhelmingly tasted of ginger. The chicken dish we got was oily and the accompanying rice was also mixed and tasted like stale old rice. The design was awesome. Its a blend of fast casual and sports bar, sans the beer. I really loved that they offered teas. I was really excited, but whomp whomp they definitely need to work out the kinks. The cashier was not pleasant and everyone in the "tea" station looked confused and poorly trained. I asked for an iced Thai Tea with almond milk. and my husband ordered iced black tea. She was not friendly and we could see that the "team" was not ready for the order. When I got the tea, it was BRIGHT orange! yes, its supposed to creamy orange, NOT BRIGHT ORANGE. I already knew that they didn't put in enough almond milk. I tasted it. It was bitter, so I asked her if it were possible to make it again and add more milk, she was not happy. She left a real bad taste in my mouth, worse than the actual tea. RETRAIN your staff to manage customer expectations, especially when dealing with new concepts and new items. read more

Very consistent! Unfortunately it's consistently bad! I've given this particular Panda 2 or 3 or 5 too many chances to get it together, but they just can't seem to get it right. They either mess up the order and try to charge you to correct their mistakes or just leave out items you paid for. Tried my luck there for the last time tonight, only to once again find a mistake with my order and watch the employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off only to reach the conclusion that they needed to charge me more to fix it.
