I used to love coming to this location almost daily during the work week. Then they went days without orange chicken which is their main item. The workers had no idea where the manager was for days too. They said he forgot to order the orange chicken. The last straw was today. There were only two employees. One serving the food and one woman cooking. I'm not counting the manager because he was just on his cell phone seemingly just personal chatting. No string bean chicken. No fried rice. No mushroom chicken. No chicken Teriyaki...etc. This is the middle of the day and it seems like it's their new norm now. This was my first time visiting Panda Express in over a decade. It was just as good as I remembered. The establishment was clean. I was a bit overwhelmed with the food options which was good. I was able to sample a few options prior to purchasing. All staff member were friendly and helpful. This was a great afforable option for food. read more

Highly recommend the family meal for a large family! It can easily feed 6 hungry eaters and still have some leftovers. The orange chicken is a must order as it is not bready. It has a good ratio of batter and chicken. Food is constantly being cooked as stuff runs out. Service is prompt. The dining area is well lit and plenty of space to eat. For a fast food Chinese restaurant that's also a chain, I find the dishes here to be really good. I would even go as far to say that they're comparable in quality to some full service Chinese restaurants. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from including appetizers and the food is always hot and fresh. This was a solid meal. Nothing stuck out as amazing but quick, clean, good flavor, fresh and hot food and FRIENDLY SERVICE, which seems exceedingly difficult to find these days. Today was my first visit to Panda Express. Overall I'd say it was average. First impression when you walk in is that the place is very clean. The service was good, I was greeted and offered a sample if needed. Looking at the food I was a little put off as there was not much of anything bowls, small amounts of everything. I did end up getting the orange chicken, fried rice and a soda. The rice was a nice hot temp but a little bland. The chicken was a couple degrees over room temp, if it was served at a higher temp, I probably would have really enjoyed it, but it was still good. Price may be slightly to high for the quality of food you are getting. When we approached the counter, a nice lady asked us what we wanted, but her accent was very difficult to understand...after a few tries, we were able to communicate. My Teriyaki chicken and black pepper chicken were good. My BF got the broccoli beef and that was not very good. The broccoli tasted like it had freezer burn. Seriously the employees here are some of the most rudest people...you can stand there waiting to be served and they will ignore all eye contact, keep their heads down, and act as if they don't see you right in FRONT of their faces. And please don't speak up unless you want to get back major attitude in return. Honestly every time I walk in there and see it's one of those Haitian girls working there I can't help but to groan. It's always a problem....ALWAYS. I've had pleasant visits when I'm being served by the manager there...he's usually attentive and if he's busy he'll acknowledge me and tell me to hold for a second which is much appreciated. I am very unimpressed with this Panda Express. It's great food don't get me wrong, but it's almost never ready. The term "fast food" does not apply here because the staff never has the food ready. I have to wait upwards of 10 minutes just for the food to be cooked. A line builds up and the whole thing is a mess. I'm not sure if the manager is aware of this, but some serious changes need to be made. I've also come to pick up an online order and every single time I walk into an empty restaurant, yet my food has not been made. Keep in mind it said my online order was ready to be picked up. Its such a good place to eat especially with family, some dishes are spicy which I highly recommend eating. I highly recommend you try out the Fire Cracker, with white rice or sweet fire. I use to LOVE coming here when I was in high school. It was fairly new at the time and the food was great. I loved the fact that it wasn't an open buffet on the customers end so nobody would have to worry about other guests coughing, sneezing or breathing over the food. Everything was always fresh. I recently came with my mom. I haven't been since high school because I had moved away from the area. Mom and I did some shopping and I realized that Panda was right there! I was super excited. So we walk in and immediately we're struck with uncomfortable heat. Now I'm always cold and I had to take my sweatshirt off, so that's saying enough right there. We waited for about a few minutes to be served and usually I would go for a panda bowl, but I was feeling feisty and decided on a meal: chow mein (my usual), fried rice and garlic chicken- which typically I'd go with Orange chicken but this looked good. I can't even tell you how dry everything was. I was so shocked at the poor quality. Honestly, the quality of every item depends on when you go. Normally when the item is just cooked or only a half hour passes by (maximum) it's edible. It tasted as though all three items were out during the night or something. Without a doubt the worst Asian food I have had in many years. But to be fair, let's start with what they do right: THE GOOD NEWS: The workers are pleasant and industrious. They do an excellent job of keeping things clean and stocked. And the wait times, even when busy, are quite short. At least this was true this evening. And the food LOOKS really good ! THE BAD NEWS: We ordered some various Pork, Chicken, and Beef Entrees and Sides. The only flavor I could discern is SALT. Orange Chicken is not crispy, nor orange. The Beef tastes like Beef, but soggy, hardly any flavor. The Pork equally bland. Most dishes were totally indistinguishable from each other. BEWARE!!! This Panda Express in Walpole on Providence Hwy is unable to keep the different dishes available for immediate order. I have been there several times, they used to have everything cooked and ready. Unfortunately on each of the last few visits I tried to order different entrees for my family and they would say that I would need to wait for certain items to be cooked 5-7 minutes. Well they would never put the other items they still had available in the trays to wait until the missing ones were available. A big line would come thru and they would run out of those items causing me to wait there for over 20 minutes. I timed it the last time and it was 23 minutes. I contacted the Panda Express they didn't respond to the message for several weeks. They said they would send a gift card but never did...poor customer service. This same wait has happened at least 3 times maybe 4. Unfortunately it looks like I will never eat there again, I drive 30 - 40 minutes to get there, I don't have time for this kind of inefficient service. They need to fill your tray with food they have, put it under the warmer until they can add the missing items and then it WOULD be quick. Procedures are all wrong...BEWARE!! read more

I wanted to fill out this survey because you have an employee who always impresses me. She was not there today but I see her a lot and wanted to fill this out. I believe she is a manager, female, shorter and maybe Latina... Her customer service skills are amazing! She pays attention to everything! And I have seen her helping guests and then going back to the line to cook, and then the register. She is a jack of all trades, and you can tell she always knows what is going on. Considering the name contains the word "Express" it pains me how often we've gone there to find 5 or 6 (or more) of the serving dishes empty and you have to wait for them to cook up a new batch of those items. Express means no waiting! I am also put off by their pricing system. Some items are called 'entrees'. Some are called 'sides'. It's completely arbitrary, especially since many of the items called 'entrees' would -always- be called sides at any other restaurant. Cream Cheese Rangoon, for example. And yes, it's -cream cheese- Rangoon: no crab implied or provided. For a certain price, you get to choose two 'entrees' and one 'side'. I would prefer if they just counted everything as an 'item' and you could pick any three. It would be much simpler and I don't think the cost to Panda Express would be much different. One side note: what they call Chow Mein would generally pass as Lo Mein at most Chinese restaurants in this area. No crunchy twisty noodles here. The quality of the food is fine, but honestly you could do better at many local 'American Chinese' restaurants found all over Massachusetts. Why not patronize a local business instead? read more

I stop here on my way back to RI almost every time I'm in the area. It's better than the mall version. Everything is fresh and you can see the chefs cooking it in the back. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. It's a small place and it's the same set up as the mall versions where you order your entrees and they plate it for you and you take it to your seat. Priced appropriately. The staff is pretty much always nice, I've never had a bad experience. If you're on RT.1 and don't want the Taco Bell next door I recommend it. read more
