What has happened to this Panda??? I have eaten at this location probably 50 times. Usually it is a solid 4-5 star place. I am a regular as my youngest loves the Orange Chicken. The food is pretty good. What you'd expect from fast food Chinese. The last several times I have been to this location the service has been horrendous. Bad days happen but this has now happened multiple times in a row. The people serving the customers don't greet them, don't look at them, and just stare down mindlessly making mobile and online orders. The line gets long and they don't say anything. They just go about filling orders for takeout. They will literally use up the food you want to order, then ask you what you want, and make you wait even longer. I see there is a mixed bag of reviews. I feel you need to rate it as fast food and not made to order. So, in that light, it was pretty good here when we visited. I felt like it was really good airport or mall food court food. I have actually never really tried Panda before though, I have not eaten at airport or malls too often, but it game me nostalgia for Pei Wei that left Michigan. I used to love Pei Wei. We still go to PF Changs, which is basically more expensive Pei Wei, but I sometimes want some fast food with a bit of value for our money. This place hit it. It was tasty and something I will crave again. The portions were not huge but big enough to take home some leftovers. I had their honey chicken and honey walnut shrimp with half fried rice and half noodles. The noodles were so good, I could eat an entire container of those. The rice was decent and did not dry out the next day. The main entrees were pretty good. You can get the shrimp from Trader Joes from time to time and it is equally good, but it was pretty good here. I sampled some of my family's dishes, the orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and some other type of beef. All pretty decent. We also tried the chicken egg roll and spring rolls, pretty good. I would get everything I ordered again. The prices were pretty decent as well. I would come back for the value. There were plenty of places to eat and a lot of customers. I was very surprised how many people wanted to eat here, eventually there was a line out the door. They work pretty fast, so it goes quickly. But I am glad it is popular, that is a good sign. Line out the door and all they did was mobile orders. People waiting 30+ minutes (when they finally got to you) got left with the scraps. Really, incredibly disappointing. They completely emptied something in front of me after I ordered it, and had to wait again. Rude staff, horribly managed. My wife place a online order for 11:45 for a party but at 11:20 she received a text order is ready for pickup. I went there to pick up the order and I asked nicely the lady how come it was ready almost 30 min ago because I don't want to eat cold food. From the kitchen a "big mouth " yelled that's the time you choose for pickup . I left and on the road I called my wife and she confirmed with a screen shot. It was big and clear 11:45 pickup time. I was almost home but I had to go back to close his "big mouth". I showed him the screen shot and he yelled again get out of the store. no wonder why they have only 2 stars. very poor management and if that big mouth keep working there they will have no stars left . Panda Express continues to be my go-to for Chinese. I feel bad because it is a chain restaurant, but I still have not been able to find a good/consistent local Chinese restaurant in the area. But Panda Express is always there when I need my Chinese fix! My latest Panda Express experience was my first-time ordering delivery. Panda was advertising free delivery, so we tried it out. Ordering on the website is easy and we went with a la carte options. Our food was delivered 15 minutes or so fastest than expected. The driver placed our order by our door and went on her way - contactless delivery. I was worried that something would be wrong or forgotten but to my surprise our whole order was there! The food was still hot. We went between medium and large food orders - the large container looked small but once you unpack all the food there is a lot of food in them. We went with the orange chicken and I got chow mein and super greens for my sides. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. More than enough food and I had leftovers the next day. Unfortunately this location is extremely slow. Food is good but I've waited 30 minutes for it. I once stopped in at 10am when they opened and there was no food prepared. Was told it would be 30-40 minutes before all the food was prepped and ready. Stools were all still on their tables and was told I could help them put all the stools down while I waited...no thanks. Make the drive to the Troy location down the road, much faster cleaner environment. read more

Very decent spot, quick moving service, constantly refilling the food and clearly labeled options. I tried the noodles, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, kung pao chicken, mushroom chicken and super greens (all on different visits). Excellent taste and portions are very decent. Tip: ask for the hot sauce - usually available in little packets. The food is already flavorful but I like mine smoking hot...... Good for consistency and taste. The Orange Chicken is So Good. My hubby wants it 7 days a week. No Way ! I'm growing Feathers ! He can only have it 2 maybe 3 times a week. I have to put my "chicken foot" down on this one. Although I enjoy it just as much. The Chow Mien hasn't been the same for a long while now. There is way too much cabbage, (as a filler ?) I came here a few days after they opened and they were PACKED! They constantly had fresh food being filled in where/when needed and were clean and friendly. The lines were long but moved quickly. Only gripe was the portions were a lot smaller than at other panda locations. They're new and still have a few bugs to work out but not bad. Not sure what happened this time, but a few of the main dishes had an unusual sour taste. I couldn't decide if it was too much vinegar or maybe meat starting to spoil. The mushroom chicken was a complete let down. I tried, but a few bites in I started to worry that I might regret eating it. That goes for the beef and broccoli too. So Panda Express is not gourmet Chinese food (thus the Express in their name) - however I do like several of their dishes when I want something different and fast (but not in the mood for traditional fast food). I do like their website where you can build your meal - and see the nutritional information as you choose your sides and entrees. (wish everyone did that) If you are calorie conscious - I like choosing the veggies as my side and picking a couple chicken entrees such as String Bean chicken or Chicken and mushrooms. That way you get a meal for less than 600 calories. I do like several of their chicken dishes (as mentioned above) and their shrimp dishes (not always available). Also some of their beef dishes are good too. I tend to stay away from the chicken or steak entrees that are fried an coated in a sweet glaze. read more

I love Panda Express! I'm so happy this one opened up close to me because I was having withdrawl. I will gladly drive Rochester Road to get my Panda on! This specific location opened a few months ago, and even though I've been here before, I haven't had a chance to review it. Yes, the food is the same at each Panda, but I love how they have standard dishes and dishes that change from time to time. What I get here depends on what my mood and tastes are, but my "go to" dish is the Orange Chicken with the fried rice. I've had other stuff here in the past, but I won't waste your time listing each one. Even though this place isn't the cheapest in regards to "fast food" type stuff, I still loved dining here. I wish they had crab rangoon instead of the cream cheese rangoon, but it's still good none the less. No soups here either, but they have so many other options to choose from I don't know that I would need it anyways. Egg rolls are pretty good here too. Staff here is decent, parking is okay, and if you've been to one Panda you know what to expect in regards to menu pricing and food. I will gladly return on the future. read more

Today was the worst. I order the plate and asked for half and half. There was barely any noodles and the worker she was preparing my plate gave me basically no noodle and was more like grease and veggie on the bottom. Never mentioned to me they ran out of the noodle and if I would like to wait for noodle. Then I order orange chicken and chicken teriyaki and she just toss the sauce in the plastic container in with the meal. It's like those container aren't dirty from sitting on the counter. She acted like she didn't want to work and it show from how she toss them container into the plate before closing it. This would be last time I go to this place unless they hire some decent workers. Other time it wasn't this bad but this person had no manner and didn't care if they ran out of noodle and the sauce container that was the final. I will stop going to this place. read more

I was really excited to have a convenient Panda Express nearby. Twice I've not eaten my meal due to the quality of food, but I know things just sometimes happen at newer locations. Today was my last meal from this location ever. Partway through eating my fried rice, I thought hmm this mouthful doesn't feel right. If they were not the ONLY Panda Express within 30 minutes I would go to a different location. When you have a gift card, it is really your only option. I have been here twice and both times the line was out the door and they had nothing cooked. The following items had wait times of 8 minutes or more. - Orange Chicken - Chow Mein - Teriyaki Chicken I understand 1 item, but 3? That's pretty bad. They had 2 people working the line, 1 at the register, and 2 cooking. I felt bad and decided someone needed to clean the drinks/utensil/extras area and decided to clean it for them. What a mess. Both times I was here people had to go orders placed but when they walked in for pick up they were not made. Both times the orders consisted of items not available on the line. So they had to wait even longer. Hopefully they get a good rhythm going and hire some people that can work through the rushes they seem to get constantly. Gave it another chance because it was new the first time. You could literally order carry out from your local chinese spot and get food faster. Youd end up with more food of higher quality for the same price. This place has express in their name but no express in their game and that Is literally the only advantage theyre supposed to have. Walked in just before 830 to them having no food. They had a bit of sweet fire chicken and some egg rolls, but didn't even have enough food to make a plate. When I asked if they were making some more food as they don't close for another 30 minutes she said when they run out they run out. Ummmm the sign on the door says they close at 9pm, not when they run out of food?! They legitimately had 2 people walk out before me and had 4 people walk out after me because they couldn't service them. What type of establishment does this?! I really like this Panda Express. Whenever I am at the mall I always stop by Panda Express. I went to this new location on a Saturday at lunch time and it was very busy. I got the fried rice and chow mean with double orange chicken. It was delicious! :) I really love the Orange chicken and the rice and chow mean wee really good.
