The hamburger was very good and big. The BOGO was very helpful as the hamburger was $8+ so a good deal. Jeremy waited us and was very helpful and friendly. He checked back on us to see if we needed anything and also gave us an ice cream sample. The dining room was clean and separated with sections that made it more cozy. This Culver's is such a fantastic location! I am not from the area, so anytime my family and I are visiting, we love stopping by for Culver's famous cheese curds and Butter Burgers. Their staff were super welcoming. There were seven of us dining in, and service was excellent. Their dining room was clean and comfortable. It looked like it a skin on the one side of just residue from the grill that should've probably been cleaned throughout the day and then not only that, my burger patty was paper thin. My husband has been trying to convince me to try Culver's for almost 5 years, so we finally went to the one in Rochester Hills. As someone from Los Angeles, where burger joints and diners are everywhere, I'd say Culver's is... nothing special. The good: the place was spotless -- honestly one of the cleanest fast food spots I've ever been in. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The root beer fountain drink was the best part of the meal -- super crisp and refreshing, definitely worth ordering again. The not-so-great: the burger and fries were pretty bland. The patty had no flavor and the fries tasted like filler. I've had way better diner-style burgers back home. Portion size was fine, price was average, but the food just didn't have that "wow" factor. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it so I can cross it off the list, but it's not something I'd crave or go out of my way for. If I'm back, it'll probably just be for that root beer. read more

This is probably one of the worst Culver's of all times tried it for the second time this week probably worse than the first time which is hard to believe there was probably enough salt on my burger to fill up a shaker, and then the burger was so greasy the bun was just a pile of mush like I get it. I have been visiting this location for a couple of years. I don't know why I haven't given them a review. I've gone to a few locations and they have always been consistent. No matter the location you choose you should be okay. This is one of the best fast food restaurants I've tried. I always say that Portillos and Culver's are my 2 favorites. Always clean and courteous. The soups are amazing. Now as far as the food goes, you can't go wrong, pick what you like. I have almost had everything and I have no complaints. I will say if you are going for the custard. You're better off with Erma's or stick to ice cream with DQ. To me that's the only negative. read more

Super slow when they are not busy. Not sure why at drive thru we had to wait for our ice cream and drinks. Could've ate them while we waited. I mean, I was the only car at the drive-through and it took dude like 10 minutes to even ask for my credit card to pay. Somethings seemed off about the man operating the drive-thru. We're visiting from out-of-town and needed lunch,. Although it wasn't our first choice (other restaurant was short handed and couldn't seat us timely), we eventually settled on Culver's. My husband from Iowa loves a good breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, and Culver's offering seems to satisfy his craving with a crispy, juicy version of his favorite--it's the closest version he's come by in recent years. I, on the other hand, opted for the mushroom and Swiss burger. Oh, the buttery goodness of the patty! Everything was hot and cooked to perfection. Fast food has really changed over the years, and what used to be good isn't anymore. Now, places like Culvers have come around and gotten my attention for a few different reasons. For starters, their food is good. It's got a nice menu of options, and it's really really good. Obviously we don't come here because it's fancy, but sometimes when things are crazy and I need a quick, reliable meal, Culvers has my attention. Why you ask? I will list below. For starters, I love the variety of the menu. Different types of burgers, fish and brisket sandwiches are a few of the items that I have eaten at Culvers over the years and haven't had a bad meal yet. Secondly, the food is actually, dare I say it, GOOD. For under $10, I get a nice burger fries and a drink that actually washes down well. Third, the place is actually clean. I haven't been to a dirty culvers yet. The common areas where you get beverages, straws and other fixings is always in good working order. Staff is friendly and always ready to take my order and they are usually pretty friendly. I started eating Culvers back in Phoenix, and it was a nice change from the usual garbage that's out there. (*COUGH* MCDONALDS? SICKENING.) I am pleasantly surprised that I continuously have positive experiences here, and that there is now one in my area. Thank you! I will continue to eat here in the future unless something drastic happens, or I fall off the earth and move to a desolate place that offers none of these food options. (Chances? NILL.) read more

I went for lunch with my mom on Christmas Eve. It was snowing (naturally) and there were only about three other patrons inside one hour before closing time. I did not experience bad service; just the opposite. The cashier was super friendly and efficient. Mom and I both wanted fish, as we had it in Wisconsin last summer. She got the platter, and I got the sandwich. The fish on mine was a huge, tender, perfectly fried piece of lightly battered cod. It's the same fish that my mom had with her platter with two pieces. I loved it! It was hot, and the butter bun it was on was great too! The onion rings are good. The egg custard dessert is also good. My mom was elated when she found out this Culver's was going in here. She's only a mile away, and can get to it off Rochester Road by going through the Meijer parking lot, and get back to the traffic light for an easy escape. I'll be back again with my next visit to my mom's. read more

I was so impressed by the response to an incomplete order. Today, I ordered food for myself and some friends for lunch. When I got to my friend's house, we noticed that half the order was missing. I stop and bought some food from their drive through. when the girl handed me my drink I had order she had accidentally spilled the whole drink all over me and the inside of my car. Instead of apologizing she just starred at me and seemed to find it funny. she did however say "Oh, I'm so sorry about that." she had nothing else to say after. I had just paid $27 for my food. I really wished I would've returned it. My car site is soaked and my steering wheel is sticky. My pants are all wet. And, to top it off the restaurant team could care less. I did get a phone call from the manager a guy I forgot his name. And, he wasn't any better. I'm sure this doesn't happen too much. My veggie burger was good - once it arrived. Unfortunately, I had to wait in a very long post-order drive-through line to get it (10 minutes at least). This gives me pause when looking for someplace to get fast food that is vegetarian when I'm in a hurry. Do I risk it here or go someplace else not as good but more reliably prompt? I'm hoping that my recent experience was due to the newness of this branch but time will tell. Honestly best customer service I've received from a fast food establishment. Toby who took my order also brought me my food and they were honestly great. Soon arriving to my table they asked if I wanted ketchup or salt and then went and grabbed it for me. There's not much I don't like about Culver's hence a rare 5 star rating from me. I for one was thrilled when Culver's opened at this location as the Lake Orion location wasn't so convenient. The Butter Burger is their flagship hamburger and I'd put it up against the west coast's In & Out hamburger. It's that fresh and delicious. If you like chicken fingers' , I'd challenge you to find any better then these. In the "Value basket", you get four tenderloins, fresh cut French fries that are outstanding, a choice of 5-6 dipping sauces, and a beverage of your choice. My favorite is the sesame ginger. No one likes fried Cod fish more than me and Culver's Is among the best I've had. FYI, if you order the fish Value basket you get 1 lone morsel of fish. Apparently you can request 2 fillets for an additional charge. I wish they would have asked when I ordered but live and learn. Culver's shakes are made with their buttery smooth and creamy custard. Again, hard to find any better, anywhere. I'm sure there probably something on the menu that's not great but I just haven't found that yet. read more

They supposedly have great custard and cheese curds, but lactose intolerance means I (sadly) cannot indulge. I stopped by this location on the second Saturday in June. In need of a good burger, I ordered my standard: a butterburger and fries. Butter on a hamburger? Yes, and it pairs perfectly with the beef used at Culver's. Filling my cup with special-recipe root beer at the fountain, I grabbed a seat and waited for my order to be brought to the table. After a few minutes, out came my freshly-cooked burger and fries. Culver's fries are nothing to write home about: boring standard crinkle-cut fries that come out unsalted. But the burger? Perfect. I don't know how Culver's does it, but the smashed patty is one of the best burgers you can get, with a nice soft bun surrounding it. I always make a point to stop at Culver's if in the area. Long wait after ordering, food was cold and burger was dry (definitely not a butter burger). Auburn Hills Culver's actually recommended that they would be happy to cut my burger in half. I've been here a few times and the food is ok. It's a typical fast food burger taste. The fries are crinkle cut if you like that kind. I haven't ordered a dessert or shake yet but probably will towards summer or if a craving comes. I think the prices are a bit high but you can get a few diff $5 deals. 0 stars is what this place actually gets. Imagine ordering at the drive thru and waiting 45 mins just to receive half of your order missing. I was in a rush at this point and was sick of waiting so when I finally got my order brought to me I drove off. Keep in mind I was driving back home during rush hour and traffic was absolutely disgusting. Finally get home and that's when I find that they forgot half of my order if not more. AFTER I CALLED the worker there had the audacity to tell me I have to drive back to get my refund back on my credit card that I used there because they can't refund it without swiping it again. I have not been disappointed the few times I've been to Culver's. I crave their Cheese Curds. This time I went with 2 friends, they each ordered Single Butter Burgers and a fry to share, I ordered the Chili supreme (has chopped red onion, cheese and sour cream). The Chili was exactly what I need to warm me up, had good favor, just enough spice but no over powering. I'm very picky when it comes to anything other than homemade Chili, I don't think anyone would be disappointed. read more

Lockdown or not, Culver's drive thru is always packed. It's a rare treat for me so I made the most of it by ordering a Mushroom Swiss single. I was thisclose to getting a milkshake, but I already had ice cream today. (I still should've gotten one and shared it anyway!) I find their milkshakes pleasant and creamy.
