If I could leave a negative star review I would. I specifically came to this restaurant to utilize a promotion in their app. I selected the promo in the app then placed my order. It wasn't until after I picked my order up that I realized I was charged full price and the promotion wasn't applied. I immediately called the restaurant to get it sorted out (less than 1 hour from when I placed the order) I was told by the woman who answered the phone that she had no idea and they get no training on the app. I left my name and number and was told the owner would call me before the end of the week. Well, here we are three weeks later and no one has reached out to me. Just on purely principle I will never go back to this location. This really felt like a bait and switch. read more

Yesterday I had absolutely the worst shake I have ever had in my life from any place, bar none. Let me start by saying five dollars for a small shake is unbelievable. That aside, this particular shake was a hot fudge shake. There was very little Dairy Queen ice cream in it as well as very little hot fudge. It tasted like, and had the consistency of, a diluted chocolate milk. Absolutely horrible. I will not be back. It's no wonder Edna's Custard around the corner was packed, and there was no one at this DQ. I should have paid attention to that clue. read more

We went here in June 2020 during the height of the pandemic. They' seem to be doing a great job of managing their business despite all of the obstacles this and other businesses have had to overcome. When we went, they weren't allowing any indoor seating at all. I respect their wishes with being cautious. The drive-through was doing a brisk business. They've renovated the drive-through area by moving back the menu board so it allows them more time to prepare your order. Before, you would get up to the window and you would still be having to wait for your order. Now they're able to keep up with the orders so there's not as long of a wait once you get to the window. Good thinking on their part to speed up productivity. It's working out well for them. Although one of our orders wasn't quite right, we let it slide. It was still refreshing on such a hot day. They've also expanded their parking. They rent out some parking spots from the business next-door. It's nicely laid out now. Before, parking was very limited. The outdoor seating has a couple of tables with umbrellas for shade and there's also a cute double seat wooden bench with a built in tray to sit on as well. For the limited amount of room and space that this location has, they've made good use of it and they're doing very well! read more

Staff friendly and fast. Blizzard was runny with very little cookie dough. It was melting when they handed it to me and it had the consistency of a thick shake. There was no upside down presentation. Went a couple nights ago with my family. I ordered 4 items, once I received my Boston cooler the top had chocolate on it. I ignored it and attempted to drink my Boston cooler. Upon drinking it, I noticed it tasted funny. I looked at the bottom of my drink and there were tons of chocolate pieces throughout the entire drink to the point I threw the entire drink away. I instantly started questioning the cleanliness of this establishment. Why would you make a blizzard and not clean the the mixer prior to making someone's shake. I went to this location tonight to pick up banana splits because they have specials each week on banana splits.. My family has been doing this for years and tonight when I went to order a banana split I ordered it with the hot fudge on the side which on the side which they always do for me because the it's because the hot fudge melts the ice cream by the time I go home. I initially started doing this with my order because the employees told me that was a smart way to do it. So I ordered tonight And when I got to the window I realized that the girl had charged me $3 more for the toppings on the side. I questioned her about this and she told me that that was their policy to do that. I told her that no they always gave me the topping on the side so that the ice cream wouldn't melt after explaining the situation she repeatedly told me that that was not true they don't do that and that doesn't happen. I told her that last week they did just that. Her response to me was that she would question her manager about it tomorrow bit tomorrow but that wasn't really helping with the situation now. I told her that I understood she was trying to do her job and if that's what she's told it's not her fault but rather than charging me the $3 extra for the toppings on the side that I would just have them on top of the banana split. When I said that she threw her hands up in the air muttered under her breath got angry took the ice cream that had no top knees on it picked it up off the counter and slammed it into the trash can behind her as hard as she could. Another employee went to go make another banana split when I handed her the money I tried to speak to her after she adjusted the bill to reflect the new amounts And she ignored me. She handed me my ice cream and when she gave me my change she slammed it into my hand and knocked most of it onto the ground outside the drive-through window and she knew that she did that however instead of saying anything she slammed the window in my face and turned her back to me so I couldn't say anything more to her. Marching her. Her attitude from the start was terrible and she was rude and arrogant and really nasty. We've been coming to this place for years but after this kind of service I have no desire to return this kind of customer service should not be tolerated. If they've changed the price and that's their new policy then so be it but she didn't have to be so rude about it. read more

Growing up in Utica, this has been my go-to Dairy Queen since I was old enough to grasp an ice cream cone, so I've got a soft spot in my heart for their soft serve (pun intended). During the summer, this place is really happenin'! They have a drive-thru but you have to be careful because on a hot night, it can be backed up all the way around the store. It's easier to just park nearby and go inside. The workers are very friendly, though they are usually high school students, so you'll probably get a different staff from year to year, but overall, they have been really cooperative, especially when I have large orders. I like this Dairy Queen mostly for its proximity to Grant Park. It's easy to pick up my favorite Reese's blizzard and then have a nice walk around the park with my lady. read more

They messed up my order incredibly hard and put disgusting hard pieces of something in my mr misty freeze drink and my girlfriend almost choked on a piece as it was unexpected to have in the drink. The icing on the cake was the very rude and rotund manager or as he claimed, owner. We went back a day or two later to explain what happened and he completely shut me down at every point, cutting me off and speaking over me. The guy does not understand that as a business owner, the customer is the reason for your businesses existence and they always come first (I am a business owner myself) We ended up leaving amd going to the location on Hall which is extremely well managed and has great products. If it weren't for the large manager I would have had no complaints but he was honestly the most rude guy I ever met and needs to improve his managerial dealings with customers. read more

I went here about two days ago and I got a blue raspberry mister freeze. For some reason there was an incredible amount of what looked like pie chunks or cake chunks in it, and in a blue raspberry freeze- that tastes awful. I came back and explained what happened as I was just trying to have it re-made seeing as I didn't eat the other one, and was constantly cut off, told I was lying, and there was nothing that could be done. Stopped by here last summer while I was driving around trying to find these giant picture/poster frames for my work. I had to drive out to 4 different Michael's locations that day in order to get all the frames we needed, and it was in the high 90s. So I was dying from the heat and carrying all these frames around. A wonderful notification from my mobibo app came through, showcasing a blizzard at a discounted rate. Sounds about perfect at that point, as I fear I am going to overheat and die before these frames get back to where they needed to be. I walk in, show my app, they are completely co-operative with what I have and ask me what kind of blizzard I wanted. Oreo is my standard, you can't go wrong with it, and I also couldn't really have made a decision because my mind just kept thinking "Damn its hot.....hot....I'ma die." I really appreciate the fact that I never got a groan or stare that felt like I was a freeloader. Instead I received smiles and quick service! They whipped up my tasty ice cold treat right away, and sent me on my way, all I had to do was push redeem on my app. The ice cold treat brought my temperature back down (though at one point the heat started to turn the bottom of the cup into a liquid). So in actuality, this DQ might have very well saved my life and kept me from overheating and getting into an accident. They also made my day with the friendly service. Thanks! read more

This place is NEVER open until the time it says on their website. I've gone out of my way to go there MORE than once after looking at their website that says they are open until 10pm to get all the way there and they are ALWAYS closed well before 10pm.
