My daughter and I go here every Thursday, I have never had an issue. But sadly today 5/1/25 we ordered our usual turkey/provolone and when I opened the sub it had some red on the meat which I picked off. I opened it to look at the rest of the meat and almost vomited. It had red all in it. What bothers me the most about this is the employee that made it had to have seen it and found it acceptable to give to a customer. I've been in the hospital for most of the summer and I've been craving a sub, so I placed my order over the phone and ask my niece pick it up for me, I ordered a giant ham and cheese with extra meat and cheese. It was about $19 on a rosemary cheese flavored bun. I was very surprised when I got my sub it was on a white roll. I don't know how much to meet you put on a regular sound but on that whole Giants are there was lucky to be 4 ounces same thing with the cheese. They asked me if I wanted the jersey why I said yes , I got lettuce tomato and onion very lightly on the sandwich and a little sprinkle of the seasoning. It's a big, so I just expected more toppings. I did ask for extra sauce and that was there. I was expecting it to be more of a meaty sub since they were the extra meat was like so thin it's almost like it was an illusion and all like a taste was bun. I ended up taking the top bun and Hallowed it out. It actually made it taste better without all that bread and in held it together good. I am in the restaurant business. Also, I highly recommend that your order takers over the phone. Repeat the order to the customer to make sure the order is right I don't know what your portions are but when you order the giant, I think it should be a giant. It looks just like a regular sub. Have always loved Jersey Mikes, by far the best sub shop around. However, this particular Jersey Mike's had flat pop and when I told them they said they would fix it. They told me it was fine, which it was not. Asked for the manager and told her I wouldn't be back to their particular shop and she just told me to have a nice day. All she had to do to make this right was give me a credit or a bottle pop. So sad that they can't think something so simple could have made this right. read more

I got the "famous" roast beef and provolone today. All of it is dry; the bread, the roast beef, the cheese, even the lettuce and tomatos are dry. This is a very disappointing sub. The prices are outrageous as well; close to $9 for a super dry cold cut sub plus $2 for a drink and they ask if. you want to tip. the product and service was amazing until the lady that took my order, very efficiently I thought, until the cashier went to confirm my order. I let him know what I had said and because she had heard another number she proceeded to blame me aloud to her coworkers. though I know what number I said because I didn't even look at the half of the board with the number she had thought, I don't think it's a good or comfortable look for employees to talk smack about their customer especially in their presence without directing it to them or saying "oh I thought she said this" instead of insisting aloud that the customer said one thing and it's their fault. I've been in this industry for 16 years now and have never been so uncomfortable with how I was being spoken about for an easy misheard mishap. not a good look lady, but we ended on a productive note. words of advice don't speak illy about your customers at all and if you need to, let's not do it in their presence. especially when the miscommunication between the two was as easy as adding a protein to the already started recipe. read more

My favorite sub place since I discovered it in Jan 2013! I have not been to any other sub place since. The 13 & 5 are my favorites (Italian and Italian with less meat). The meat is fresh sliced. I always add bacon because their bacon is cooked to a crispy perfection - and cooked daily. When I'm in the mood for a hot sub the #43 chipotle steak and cheese is the way to go!! I hate mayonnaise with a passion - but their Chipotle mayonnaise they put on the 43 works! It is the only place and type of mayonnaise I eat! Once again add bacon to it and it's better!! We drive over half an hour one way to come to this location. The staff has changed over the years but the food is just as good. read more

Infinitely better from my last review. Staff is more consistent with creating a balanced sub. I've been here a few times since and can confirm that. No more days when my roast beef is only a slim 4 slices, and overwhelmed with bread. Yay! :) I prefer their wheat bread for the nuttier taste, and bonus points that it is healthier! The quality here is very inconsistent. I've had good sandwiches at this location while other sandwiches went straight to the garbage can half eaten. Today, the bread was undercooked, and there was definitely cross contamination. I bit into an Italian sub, and was wowed by the putrid taste of tuna. Yuk!! Tired of spending money on poor quality. So on Saturday about 2pm I headed over to Jersey's, the place was kinda busy but not packed. I ordered their #13 Italian fresh cut meats nice, I watched them make the sandwich also nice. At this point I was thinking this is going to be a great sub, right? Well kinda. Michigan has a lot of very good restaurants and sub shops, some chains some mom and pops. I guess I've been blessed with really great subs to choose from like real Italian subs with meats, capicola, hard salami and fresh rolls, and a testy blend of spices and dressing. The real deal. Like Ventimiglia, Bommarito Bakery, Green Lantern and places like Randazzo. So Jersey's? It's ok, but not up to the great home grown originals throughout the Detroit area. read more

Second time having subs at this location, 1st time maybe a 1 star, this time 3 stars. Note that I ordered online and pickup up in store. I love the online ordering- pick your item, customize (or not), pay and just walk in, grab and go....or something like that. When I walked in, I wasn't certain what I should do--wait in line or go right to the front. 1 star to the organization for online ordering and store pick up. Their subs are just ok in my book. A few things make me not want to return, like their price. Is it just me, or are they really high for a sub place??! 2 giant subs for $30, really?! I know, I can buy a smaller one, but then it's even more of a rip off, because it's more economical to buy the bigger ones. And the sauce/juice/dressing they put on, is it REALLY necessary to spray it on like its a fire that needs to be put out?! Seriously?! By the time I got it home it was sitting in a pool of juice?! Had to eat the whole damn thing (good thing we were really hungry) or it would have been a soggy blob later. Stop being heavy handed with the oil, unless the customer asks. Lastly, you only offer a select few veggie toppings, could you at least be somewhat generous with them. I like my subs to have texture and body, that's what the lettuce, onions, tomatoes and peppers bring to the sub party. That crunch, freshness and slim thought that your eating something good for you and not just processed lunch meat. I may be back, in fact I'm sure I will if my husband has any say in it. I absolutely love this place. YES, the oil can be a little heavy, but just ask them to go easy on the oil. The staff is super friendly, the bread is always fresh, the meat portions are generous, and really, considering a giant stuffs my hubby and I up for the day, $14 isn't really that bad. I'd take it over Subway any day. If the price bugs you, use your shore card and save up points and get free subs! I don't see Tubby's, Subway, Ventimiglia's, etc. doing any type of reward program, are they? Yes, Ventimiglia's subs rock, but I'm not driving 10 miles out of my way for a great sub when I can get one at Jersey Mike's. The ones in Jersey and other locations may be better, as a few people have stated, but seeing as how I haven't had one anywhere else, I don't know any better and am completely happy with my Shelby Twp. All of the negative reviews are immediately disqualified. I come here almost every Friday morning because I work on this side of town for the day. I have never seen a more busy place. These people are busting out orders like there is no tomorrow. Doordash, Grub Hub, Uber Eats, plus inside orders, call in to go orders, and multiple sub "catering" orders. These employees are amazing and if you are giving them a hard time or not tipping, something is absolutely wrong with you. You should tip every service employee, by the way. I don't know the managers name but, he remembers things I say about my life and asks me about them when I come in. Like who remembers little stupid things you tell someone in short conversation? In conclusion, Friday morning employees are putting in THAT work and deserve to be treated like so. And my sub is always great. However, I am not picking at all. First visit to a Jersey Mike's sub shop. We were not impressed at all. The subs were run of the mill. They don't have much in the way of toppings except lettuce onions and tomatoes. The kids got ham and cheese subs. I got a chipotle Philly sub and it was mediocre at best. Besides the food it was a little bit annoying to see how the store is managed. If I was the manager I would be a little perturbed at how the employees were not focused on the business at hand. There were three employees there during our visit. They all worked a little bit but two of them seemed very preoccupied with being on their phones. The store itself is just a little bit dirty in just a little bit messy just about everywhere. This is an updated review for the 23 mile location. Went in tonight to get a couple subs. looking over the menu we choose two different subs that are the same price. There 3 sizes to choose from. Mini, reg, and giant. A giant is basically two regulars. Total Price of two regulars is .50 cents more than getting one giant. I asked if I can get a giant, make it half X and half Y. He wasn't sure and needed to ask mgr. he came back and said sorry mgr said no. Since we didn't have time to go elsewhere we went ahead and got our two subs. This was our last visit at this location. Hope the owner doesn't spend the extra .50 cents of our sale all in one place. read more

This was my first visit in this location. I rated this a 5 star more so based on the service than the food. However let's start with food. The subs itself are generous proportions without being overbearing. I left full after my drink, sub and chips (about $11) and not sick at all. Everything seams fresh and was delicious. I was super impressed with their service. This is not a very quick process since everything is cut in front of you. The girl who took my order was very nice and friendly She was genuine about it and interaction was not forced. The staff is very friendly and personable and were cleaning throughout my visit. First time I had a steak and cheese and was really disappointed with how little bit of meat was in there. I have been back a handful of times and it's been good every time. I have been wanting to try this place but the speeded up the probability of me going when my gf got a coupon in the mail. So we gave it a try. The staff is kinda qwirky. They don't clean the slicer between meats which isn't that cross contamination? The meat they give you is generous. The bread is good. The guy put way to much oil and vinegar sauce on it. All and all not the worst sub and place to eat but the service was slow and the girl who rang us up took about 4 min for 2 sandwiches 1 pop and 1 chips. Would I go back? Sure.
