    Chow mein
    Rodolfo A.

What a terrible experience. I asked for a large side of chow mein. Asked if they could "possibly" give me light or no veggies as this was for a kid. Abruptly said no, and wasn't polite about it. Get home, and as if it was some kind of joke, they gave me 80% veggies and 20% noodles. Definitely not going back.

I forgot to post a review, but I'll never forget watching them clean the air vents while cooking the food :) Yes, right over the food, right over the stove. They're young workers, so I don't fault them, but I fault whoever trains them. You never clean vents while you're cooking food. I went home and really couldn't get it out of my head and I got sick as I was eating. Hopefully they changed their hygiene since then. Also, HEB's orange chicken tastes better, and you get 24oz frozen for like $8...frozen food yes, rice like $2. Mind you, it was my first time eating at Panda, and after I saw what I saw & tasted what I tasted, you won't catch me eating there again. The fortune cookie was good though.

My food took 45+ minutes to be made, and when I took it home, I could visibly see streaks of semen on top of my noodles.

If you do a mobile order, they never have it ready on time. It's usually a 10-15 minute wait after they notify you that it's ready.

Its a pretty big restaurant with plenty of parking outside. It even has a full bar service. I called ahead to check their vegetarian options, in noodles they had only one , even that came with egg, but I asked them to substitute the egg for tofu. The girl at the counter and the one who spoke on the phone was very friendly and ready to help. She took me through the whole menu, I should come back for their dumplings sometime. Placed a to- go order and it took about 10 min for the order to come out , hot and fresh.. and did they add tofu- generous amount. Was really happy with the service. Happy with the food too. I would like to back and also hope for some more vegan vegetarian options to be added......

Expect to share family style Food: 3.5/5. Mostly pretty authentic Chinese food preparation. My favorite was the pickled vegetables with fish. Xiaolongbao were just ok, wrapper could be thinner, more soup could be inside, and the filling flavor didn't seem too authentic. Lanzhou beef noodles were alright. Service: 4/5 attentive bilingual staff, makes sure you are taken care of. Ambiance: 3/5. Standard indoor family night out vibes. Average noise level, clean with simple indoor decor. Overall 4/5, good for a cheaper dinner if split between a large party while having a casual evening or afternoon out.

Eating them in as a roll vessel is simply well... magical. I enjoyed these and almost ordered more. The Andra chicken curry was absolutely delicious as well. I enjoyed it and was so stuffed with our other items that I had to save it and eat at home. The portions were great to share or eat for one. My kids 5&7 also enjoyed the kids menu and licked their plates clean up...a rare occurrence. Any place that has momos gets on my list to come back, especially if they are great like they were here! I'll be coming back in no time.

The biryani packed a good amount of spice, which I personally loved. The chicken tikka masala was decent but pretty standard. The paneer dish, though, was definitely unusual and had a flavor that felt a bit off on its own, but it worked better when paired with rice. Prices were a bit on the higher side, especially for a more casual, hole in the wall kind of place. Our waitress said we should try more unique dishes next time. Overall, it's a good restaurant with an interesting, fusion menu. I'd come back to try other dishes and see what else stands out.

5 Stars - Authentic Szechuan that absolutely nails the classics…read more During our short trip to Houston, as a custom, we were determined to find real Szechuan food, and luckily we found Hu's Kitchen. The location is a bit unassuming, and parking is definitely tough (the spaces are very shallow), but the second we walked through the doors and smelled the Szechuan peppercorns, I knew we were in exactly the right place. I generally judge a Szechuan restaurant by their 夫妻肺片 (Fuqi Feipian)--which they cleverly name "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on the menu. They completely nailed it. The beef, tripe, and tendon were incredibly cohesive together, yet you could tell each component was prepared and marinated in a slightly different way to perfectly highlight its specific texture. The chili oil was right on the spot. We went through a massive bowl of rice just eating this dish alone. Honestly, if I weren't feeding a family of four, I could have just ordered that and been perfectly happy. While the Fuqi Feipian proves their skill with dry dishes, the 水煮魚片 (Fish in Szechuan Hot Chili Oil) proves their skill with wet ones. It's another must-order. The execution was flawless--we didn't just finish the tender fish chunks, we ate every last piece of cabbage soaked in that incredible chili broth. For my two daughters who can't handle the heat, we ordered the fried rice, garlic pork ribs with onion, and the 紅燒獅子頭 (Giant Meatball with Cabbage). The giant meatball was spectacular. The kids completely devoured it on their own, but I managed to steal a bite, and it instantly brought back childhood memories of exactly how this dish is supposed to taste. We also had the Dan Dan Noodles, which were great and rounded out the meal perfectly. I loved all of the dishes we tried. Should we ever find ourselves in Houston again, we will absolutely be revisiting this hidden gem.

No complaints here since we were starving from an 8 hour road trip. The Dan Dan Noodles...I had high expectations but sadly this dish fell short. I recommend Hu's Cooking to use a bigger bowl and more sauce because it was difficult to mix the noodles and the sauce wasn't...saucing, unfortunately. I wish there was more flavor in this dish. The Scallion Pancake was super over-fried and oily. See image in my review. The outer parts of the pancake were fried to a crisp and only a small circumference in the center stayed chewy. I know Chinese tends to be oily but this pancake soaked up way too much oil. Half a Peking duck: super great price for so much meat. The difficulty when eating this dish is gnawing the meat off the sharp bones of the duck. Mapo Tofu with white rice: pretty easy staple, no complaints here. Dinner on a Saturday was packed but we got seated quickly and food arrived fast.
