Ordered gizzards and Liver combo and wing and breast combo. Food came out quick and was hot and crunchy. Flavoring was right on, not salty or dry. Corn on the cob was corn, no added flavoring and not much sweetness. Longer though than ones from KFC. One point deduction for loud fan that kept running off and on. I was expected the same service as the Angleton location unfortunately that was too much to expect, the lady Esther taking my order was awfully rude, when I door to the window she continued with a horrible attitude. I asked again if the chicken could be fresh I'd be happy to park, she said it was just picked up. I received my meal chicken was so cold it was hard, gravy was super thick and clumpy. I asked for a refund and the manager told me she cancelled my card, never asking what how to fix the issue. These ladies were so rude no customer service, they really need training. The food is good - but we had to wait 25 minutes for the 16-piece meal. We also ordered the fish and a gallon of the iced tea. The bill was over 60 dollars - after we paid, I asked if I could have a few disposal cups, like the ones that you give for water for the ice tea. The girl was surprised and asked her manager if she could do that. She came back and said she would have to charge us. It would be $2.50. I said that I just spent over 60 dollars and have to wait 25 minutes, as a courtesy they should just give me a couple of cups for the ice tea. She said that the cups cost money and they need to re-coup the money. Needless to say, I should have gone somewhere else and in the future I will. So sad that they lost a good customer over disposable cups. Bad decision and terrible service as well as customer service. read more

I love the food here! I would like to suggest to the employees to lower their voices. It may be loud in the back with all of the machines, but it's not in the dining area and customers can hear everything. We listened to them complain about customers calling. They complained about orders being made. They cussed up a storm while families fresh from church sat and cringed. I do love this place and I get the need to vent. Maybe hop in the freezer next time to let off steam. read more

While waiting 10 minutes for my food in the drive thru. I heard what seemed to be like the employees messing around. I heard yelling, screaming and banging. And thank God no one else was in the drive thru because I feel like they would have no idea if they were there or not. Just seemed very unprofessional and it's fine to have a good time at your job but AT THE RIGHT TIME, not when your assisting a customer. Ok this is my second time buying dinner at this location. The time of day is 1721. The manager that served me on my first visit is there again. I don't know his name but he is the most courteous and helpful manager I've ever encountered at a food establishment. Especially a fast food establishment! Terrible service every time. Even before COVID was ever a thing. Have tried multiple times to give this location a chance. They mess up your order no matter how simple you make it. COVID has caused issues for many businesses but again, these issues were happening since they first opened. Terrible. Ordered half regular and half spicy chicken family pack, the spicy is so dried out like it's been sitting under lights for hours. They charge $.27 per sauce when they should be giving it away to make the chicken swallowable. I paid $30 for a family pack which most of will be going to my dogs since they have sharper teeth and they will be able to eat it more easily. I don't fry chicken so when those rare occasions arrive that we want to eat it, I always order out and there are two decent chicken places very close to home. However, I was at a meeting in Alvin and my husband called and asked me to try the new Chicken Express in Alvin on the bypass. So I went in with the intent of ordering chicken tenders but they said it would be a 15 minute wait. I asked them what they would recommend that had no wait and they fixed me up with breasts and wings. Also ordered okra and green beans and they suggested half and half on the rolls and biscuits. We were so impressed with the chicken because the meat tasted so good, clean, fresh and flavorful to the bone. Green beans were the flat Italian style with a southern style well cooked prep and okra was crispy fried in cornmeal and a generous portion. Staff was very kind, helpful and friendly and I would definitely go back to try the chicken tenders. read more

Yummy! Chicken Express is new to Alvin and even though we have 4 other chicken places, this place stands above them. The breading/batter they use on the chicken is light and delicious. The fried okra is some of the best I've ever had.. The sweet tea is amazing.. I'm more of an unsweetened​ tea person bc since i moved to Texas, you cant find sweet tea like they make it back home in SC so i just gave up.. But man.. This tea is awesome! The mashed potatoes are tasty and the gravy is just how i like it!! Perfect. We will definitely be returning customers. I cant wait to try more of the menu. One more thing.. Something you don't see around here often is top notch service. The staff are accommodating, friendly and the restaurant is clean! I'd give them 10 stars if i could. read more

I will gladly be the FIRST rating for chicken express! You see, me and chicken e go way back. Chicken express was only on north Texas for a while (where I grew up) I moved here and I missed chicken e more than my family! Their sweet tea, chicken, mashed potatoes, CORN NUGGETS, hot wings, pretty much everything is so good!!!! I haven't eaten fried chicken in years because no where near had a chicken express. I went to the Alvin one tonight after the opening (finally) and I'm so happy to report everything was awesome! Just like I remembered!!!! I hope all these south Texans love chicken e as much as I do! Usually this place is my favorite, but I went in today at 3:30 and got a rude server at the drive thru. She gave me French fried instead of fried pickles no big deal. I turned around and asked for them to exchange them I gave the fries back and thirty minutes late got my fried pickles from another rude lady.
