I hate to give a review like this as it seems that everyone loves this franchise but for me it is a huge no. The burger itself was mid at best but the fries were honestly the worst fries that I have ever had. Cold and flavorless. I couldn't eat them. I had to throw them in the trash. The last time I had, In-N-Out Burger was in Los Angeles many years ago and it wasn't bad then but this experience definitely pushed me away from this restaurant and I can't see myself growing back. First time here and was not impressed. Seen it all over TikTok about the protein style burger and animal fries. They made it look so good so I had to try it for myself. I ordered a double single protein style burger no tomato, side of animal fries and a 7-up, spread and mustard on the side. The guy who helped me place my order was super nice and helpful. Both the cashier and girl who handed me my food looked like they really didn't want to be there. The food: there in fact was tomato in my burger, no biggie, I pulled out the two big slices. First bite into the bun, hard. It prompted me to exam my cheeseburger. So I did. The bun burnt, limp soggy old tomatoes, onions were no better and the meat portion much smaller than their bun. I love in n out. This place has very affordable burgers and the service is pretty quick. It's still obviously a fast food restaurant so don't expect fine dining but for a quick meal after grocery shopping at the HEB next door it's perfect. The service here, however, has been excellent on my few visits. This place has a line similar to Chick-fil-A, and they handle it very well. "Sir, you'll pull up behind the white truck." I had the double double combo with cheese fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was delicious. Just right in size, juicy and well seasoned. The fries were like styrofoam in texture (really weird) and tasted like they had probably been sitting for a bit. The cheese on them was a little hard. The chocolate shake wasn't very sweet at all and kinda had a hint of chocolate taste which I actually really enjoyed. The service was good. Kind, patient and accommodating. They didn't mind switching my order from "eat in the car" to bagged and were happy to give my pup a water cup. The workers were mostly teenagers. I don't know how they do it but the way they handle those 2 drive-thru lines and their ordering system - man they've got it down pat! You'd swear they'd been there forever and weren't a brand new place. The food is absolutely wonderful. I hadn't had it in so many years and it was just as good as my very first bite. I was not one of the bandwagon fans that waited in enormous lines to get an In-N-Out Burger when they started to pop up around town. However, they have become my go-to drive-thru burger joint since then. While the drive thru line can still be longer than I can wait for lunch on occasion; a little wait is worthwhile when it is not quite as crowded. I think it is the best burger deal in town. The main menu is limited, sticking to what they know. It is definitely worth looking up and trying out the secret menu items which are not secret items so much as alternative ways to prepare the same basic ingredients. This location has been open for over a month, and it is still challenging to find parking in their (a bit on the small side) lot; they are running two lines of drive-through, and security people are directing traffic around the building. Very busy location that is only a couple of months old. The inside always appears crowded and the drive-thru is very active, too. I had great service here using the drive-thru: they have people outside taking the orders and directing the traffic (imo this is a much needed measure to keep people from cutting each other off).
