My family and I have been coming to this location for many years and I am sad to say that this establishment is missing something and seems to be headed in the wrong direction. The last 3 times (including tonight, because we completely forgot that we weren't happy the last couple of times!) we've ordered takeout, the entrees we always get (orange chicken & green bean chicken) taste nothing like they did months ago. The orange chicken is so hard, you can barely bite into it. I'm assuming it's being over cooked? The green bean chicken tastes like its charred beyond taste recognition. We've also noticed the portions are becoming much smaller (we used to get at least 10 pieces of orange chicken on an entree plate and tonight got 5!) Tonight we also ordered the new wok-fired shrimp but once we got home, had the honey-walnut shrimp in our container instead. So disappointing! I am very disappointed in the lack of service I was given by this establishment on 2 separate occasions. The first time I placed an order online, it would not go through because of a time issue. The manager tried to place an order on her phone and the same thing happened. I was using a promo code and She saw what my total was supposed to be, but she claim she couldn't do anything about. So no problem, I paid full price. Fast forward 3 weeks later(tonight)I order again online, I use a different promo code. I order the Family feast, same thing happens. Haven't been to a Panda Express in awhile and this place is about 10 mins from me. I came to do a quick to go order and was very surprised when I walked in. I was greeted by a very friendly staff member Jefferey, he made me feel welcomed the moment I walked in, simply by asking me if I needed help with anything or to offering samples and etc. The food was good, I still remember back in the day when they use to sell soups (I wish they still did). Considering where this Panda is located, good Chinese take out is hard to come by, so this is as good as its going to get. Their food is always fresh (it cant help but to be fresh, there's always a line no matter what time of night, so their wok's don't get a rest). Its all pretty tasty. Pretty cool place. All the food is fresh, the servers are nice. They forgot to give me saunce for my chicken once but I go to this panda like once every other week and the quality compared to other panda expresses have been pretty good. By far one of the better Panda express I have been too. Always clean, plenty of seats. Sure it gets busy during lunch hour but never had to wait for more than 5 mins before my order is taken. Portion sizes were better than my last visit. I like the new Peking Pork though I was not offered a free sample as their online questionnaire says they should have. At the register I was asked if I wanted to give to "Childrens Hospital." May I suggest that you post some supportive signage in the store? Which hospital? L.A.? Orange County? Shriners? St. Jude? Why are you so cheap that I can't have rice, chicken, and veggies on my bowl, but instead you would have to charge me for the small amount of steamed veggies as a side? And why in the world would I want dry, totally plain chicken on my bowl of white rice with NO SAUCE at all?!? I very nearly flipped out when I picked up dinner for my grandma and brother here a couple weekends ago. It was like pulling teeth. After finally making it clear that my grandma wanted a Panda Bowl with the chicken on white rice and extra sauce on the side, i took the order and drove home. Sure enough, the idiots left out the extra sauce but also didn't put any sauce on the chicken at all! And I know I heard the first guy in the little nitwit assembly line tell the last person to add extra sauce on the side. So I called the manager to complain and she promised a free bowl next time to make up for it. But because the meat had no flavor, I had to drive all the way back and by the time I got there, I was livid. I demanded not only a couple of sauces, so I have extra for the next time they screw up, but also a free eggroll for my time, trouble, and gas! This location is clean and from all of my experiences, well run. Workers are friendly, prices are low, and they serve their purpose well. Although the place looks nice, people need to remember this is a fast food place, prices averaging $10 a person with drinks, so don't judge them how you would a high-end restaurant. more like panda distress. i get that this is fast food and not mr. chow, but i find this place extremely irritating. i dread coming here and only do so when outvoted by the committee. the only reason they get 2 stars instead of one is because they have chicken egg rolls and you can grab as much soy sauce as you need. many of the servers behind the counter don't speak or understand well the english so while trying to hustle you through they often ignore you or the two of you go back and forth asking what the other just said. the food is way salty and gets even worse as it dries out in the chafing dishes under the lamps. the menu and ordering process are insane -- they have platters and dishes and plates and bowls broken down into x entrees with x sides and if you deviate from those menu templates they get all confused and of course the line starts to back up. who knew that chow mein was a side dish but here it is and when you find out it's usually when the chick is standing there waiting for you to choose an entree when you thought you just did. i hate when they toss two scoops into your carton and when you ask for another item they return half a scoop back to the chafing dish. what is that about? and you better watch them ring your order up. gung hay fat choy indeed. i thought it was just me because i go through this every time, but when i hear other customers asking the food ladlers "what are you doing?" or "why are you putting that back" or "i didn't ask for that" i feel my aneurisms are almost justified. i wish i had a photo of the slow burn look i got from the woman next to me in line the other night. if you ever see the warner brothers cartoon of the three bears and the papa bear is about to crown junior, it was like that. the rest of you enjoy. i don't get it. read more

Not happy with the service all employees seemed preoccupied and speaking thier language I was asked if I wanted the same entree three times! They weren't paying attention! I can read! I normally don't write reviews for big corporate fast food places because reviews don't really matter for them because people don't obviously come here for the experience. It's quick, cheap, convienent and edible. That being said, I come here a lot due to those reasons. I actually really did enjoy the food here. But I had to write a review for the HORRIBLE experience I had today. It was too horrible to forgot. The lady serving the food today 8/23 around 3:30-4:00 pm was really rude. We were asking questions and she chose to ignore the questions. She's a robot and only programmed to ask certain questions and scoop the food. She didn't even offer as any samples of the food. They have this new stupid campaign for orange chicken and it looks amazing in the pictures but today it was literally BLACK chicken. The orange chicken was very dark in color and burnt. I have no idea what they did to it but it's worse that I have ever seen before. Also the string bean chicken was unedible There were a lot of dark parts and I had no idea what it was. The potstickers were dry and burnt. The service was just bad overall. We had FOUR orders and they gaves ZERO fortune cookies. Um excuse me? The decor is laughable at best. The square chairs are not very practical or comfortable. It's a joke. Panda express is fast food not fine dining. The quality of the food was better when this place had ugly seating. Now that they improved the quality of the indoor seating, the quality of the food has gone down. Management really needs to read this review and fix their staff and their food. I have been coming to this location since it opened.. The food is ok, and the service is usually pretty good, but yesterday was a huge disappointment. I ordered a small drink with my meal and was told that they were out of small cups. I assumed that I would be given a medium cup instead and be charged for the small. Instead I was told that I would have to pay for the medium, and told this in a rude and surly manner. In any other restaurant this would not have even been a question. It's certainly not the 20 cent difference that bothers me, but the "screw the customer" attitude of the employee at the register. read more

This Panda is the best, over all its Glendale locations. The food is fresh, the chicken is cooked properly and the service is quick.

I've been going to this Panda at least twice a week for years now while I'm back in La Canada. The service is always great and friendly. Don't worry if there's a long line, it moves pretty fast. The second best part about Panda is the price. You get a discount if you're a JPL employee (10%), but you get even more off if you complete the survey (instructions on the back of the receipt). You get 1 free entree, knocking the price down for a three entree(this is including tax) from more than $8 to a cool $6.80. In college towns, I usually pay around $7 for a tiny sandwich that doesn't even fill me up. Of course, the best part about Panda is the food. Vegetables are always fresh, the meat is always high quality and the food is always at the right temperature. I usually get mixed vegetables with kung pao chicken, string bean chicken, and kobari beef (sometimes I may cheat and go for chow mein instead). Go to Panda!!! read more
