Visited the Panda Express Airport Blvd location for dinner when I received the Wednesday promo for 2 plates for $15. Although it seemed like a great deal, unfortunately the food quality was very disappointing. Their flavors are a combination of Chinese roots with an American taste and they serve dishes that are authentically American Chinese. However this visit just totally missed the mark. I placed my to-go order using the app and the logistics of ordering went smoothly. My order was ready when promised. Parking was readily available however the restaurant did not feel safe. There was an individual in the parking lot that appeared to be taking to themselves so I just tried to get in and out quickly. The restaurant looked like the typical Panda Express layout. I was addressed quickly and service was attentive and friendly. The plates you can choose from a selection of two entrees and one side. For the first plate, I ordered mushroom chicken and broccoli beef with chow mein noodles, and second plate ordered honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef with fried rice. The to-go order was packed securely and had plenty of sauces and utensils. Overall, the food quality was sub par. The rice was bland and very dry. The meats and vegetables tasted overcooked, and most of the dishes didn't have enough sauce, making everything taste dry and lacking flavor. Orange chicken always hits the spot and if you're feeling a little health conscious the grilled teriyaki chicken isn't bad. I've had some issues with service with food either not being available or coming at a time when I have to wait for them to cook more. This location will give you a standard Panda Express experience. It's clean enough, and all the people behind the counter are fine. It's nice to hang out for a bit since it's so well kept and the lighting is nice. The food is the usual franchise stuff. It's fast and good and filling. I would recommend stopping in if you have a craving, but I would not go out of my way to come here. The veggie options are limited but I have had no problems with the rice or noodles. I have been told that the chicken is really good, and hubs enjoys whatever the beef dish is that he gets here. It's perfectly fine. Agh, I'm so disappointed in this fast food restaurant. It does so much business which isn't the problem but should be the solution! Woks are constantly being fired because so many people eat here from open to 3:00pm. However, the entrees I want are always gone and the supergreens are never stocked. The water from the soda fountain is dirty (I found black specs in mine and so did this stranger I talked to) and the tables are never clean. My biggest gripe is the stupid AI speaker for ordering. What the heck is that?! I've heard it say it cannot understand people before and, when you want to use a coupon or something, it's extraordinarily difficult. I've also been served by the manager and he assumed that because I was 6'2" and 210 lbs that I wanted a bigger plate than a bowl. Whatever. He wasn't very apologetic to people who also were waiting on bowls to be replaced...and was happy when people settled for food items they didn't like. I know Panda runs on metrics and they try to get food out as fast as possible but with 8 people running around the kitchen, it's always a mess ESPECIALLY WITH MOBILE ORDERS. Went to this location on a Friday evening at around 4:50 PM. I walked in and there was a line. To be expected because of the time. No problem. I noticed, they were out of mushroom chicken so I requested mushroom chicken. I was told it would be 5 minutes. No problem. Time goes by people come in come and go. I'm still waiting. FINALLY I get the attention of the manager and tell her I've been waiting 20 minutes for mushroom chicken that I was told would be available in 5. She proceeds to tell me that'll be 5 minutes. Of course, at this point I'm upset. I waited another 10 minutes or so. Before I placed my order, there had already been maybe 22 people have come and gone. Due to the time of day you'd think the'd have had that available. It was the evening rush. I guess I was the only one that wanted mushroom chicken so it wasn't as important that they make it. But even that's besides the point. This happens often when I go to this location, they're out of something. Normally it's the orange chicken, which I'm sure is their top seller. Love panda! I've always been a super fan of their orange chicken. The food is always good and it's affordable, so that's a plus. The service though, not too good. They had zero customer service. They ladies at the counter were super gross to my partner. They made us feel bad, and didn't communicate to the customers that they were not taking and cards that day we went. We didn't have any cash, we had already ordered, and the whole experience was just uncomfortable. Very pretentious. Update: the staff still does not have the attention The customer deserves. If you are looking for some decent Chinese American dishes this place is my go-to anywhere. The Chow Mein is great and not too oily a good measure for Chow Mein noodles. I normally get the plate with 2 items for about $10 its a great deal. Try getting that price at other Chinese American restaurants in town and you are looking at spending about double or triple that price. There are other Panda Express stores in town and if this location is out of items and I'm using a delivery app - the one on Burnet will have most items available. read more

I rarely have bad things to say let alone take the time out of my day to write a review but this specific location is probably the worst Panda Express Ive ever been too. Service is trash and they "run out of food items" more than 30 minutes before closing time. The girl taking orders sounds like if she's bothered you're even ordering in the first place. If you're that miserable in your position then quit and go do something else. Don't make everyone's experience so unpleasant because of your laziness. This location needs better management over all. I hate to give low reviews, but I've now had issues twice with this location. Last Sunday I ordered online for delivery, waited an hour only to have them deliver the incorrect order. I had to go through hoops to get the correct food, and wait an extra hour. Later that night, I got sick. I didn't think much of it, and honestly thought it was whatever I ate for dinner and not my panda lunch. However, again today I ordered food and about 5 hours later was sick. Now I'm thinking it has to be this place. Not sure if the power was lost during the ice storm and some of the product went bad and wasn't replaced or something, but that's twice in a single week I've gotten sick from this food. I've never gotten sick from eating Panda prior to these experiences, but I think I'll wait a good several weeks before trying Panda again, and maybe visit a different location. Both times I ordered the orange chicken and the cream cheese rangoons. They might need to check their stock and make sure none of these items have gone bad or have been causing anyone else to get sick. read more

When she comes back to the line skips up front of everybody first of all, and ask for a refill of orange chicken.
