Ok lol this place is so underated. It's in a mall I know. It's inside Barton Creek Mall lol BUT I think I've been going here for 2 decades or more ha and never gotten the chance to review it. Because who reviews fast food? I do! Ha and guess what? The pickiest foodie friend I have love loves this place so that amounts to something. And I like it a ton too. It used to be cheaper way cheaper like almost $5 for the chicken teriyaki lol but now it's almost $9 and add $2 for more meat. I always get the basic popular chicken teriyaki just because it's good and hot and fresh . They give you a large amount. But if you add more chicken you get so much more. Idk how they get the chicken so tender lol but I stick to chicken. The steak and shrimp and noodles look good but if you know me I never venture out of something if it's good. So chicken teriyaki it is! I ate here the other day and got 2 to go and it was hot and fresh! But be wary the line gets long. It's definitely the busiest in the whole food court. Even more than Chick-fil-A but it's worth the wait. It moves fast. And they are made to order so it's fresh and hot. They used to do a punch card and I get a lot of freebies but post covid I don't see that deal anymore. And the price is upped but it still is worth lol if you are ever at the mall hop in line and give it a try!

So tbh I'm not much of a fast food person but i grew up eating this food (my mom really likes this place) and aside from the food being kinda oily, it's honestly pretty good! They're famous for the chicken teriyaki, and they make pretty good fried rice. Whenever I'm at the mall and hungry, if I'm not going to Cheesecake Factory, I'm going here. The ambiance is a mall food court - nothing special. But you can get some containers of food to go and eat at home, which is what we usually do (like $10 each for a container of food). The service is pretty standard for a fast food joint (it's just fine).

I love it the food was fresh and amazing I definitely be coming back here to eat I came from round rock just try it and I was surprised how amazing the food taste

    Teriyaki Chicken (Double Meat)

I don't find myself eating at chain restaurants much, but recently I was in a pinch to grab a bite before watching a movie and wanted to try something new at the food court that wasn't Chick-fil-A, so I went with Sarku Japan. The Teriyaki Chicken is their best seller and they also sell it in a double meat portion for $10.28 which was very filling, I didn't even get to finish my rice. It tasted good and it did its job in being quick, filling, and satisfying. You can also get a regular portion for $8.29 if you'd like. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, it's a good spot to check out if you are also at the mall and find yourself to be pretty hungry. With that said, I'll give them a 3.75/5 for having good and great qualities.

Soooo much food and so yummy. My go to DoorDash lunch order is the chicken and shrimp with extra beef. Have never actually managed to finish it in one meal

Love this teriyaki chicken where I order with fried rice. I never get extra meat where it is so much food it will fill you up for the rest of the day. Make sure to get a reward card where get a stamp after every purchase and eventually get a free meal. They also prefer credit cards which makes the line go faster. This day was Sunday and Chick-Fil-A was closed making this place even more popular with long lines all day. The line moved and my order was confused with other person but quickly resolved. They are not eco friendly so food is in styrofoam containers and watch out for the weight of the food can break it in half. Use two hands or be like the lady behind me who used one and here container broke in half spilling half of her food onto the ground.

The best Teriyaki in Austin Texas. I have been eating at Sarku for decades & have never had a bad experience...love the extra portion for $1. My wife used to love it also. Good egg rolls & they have sriracha sauce if you like it spicy. The combo meal is the best value - I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Chicken Teriyaki ( they also have beef & shrimp)

So good the chili flavor is nice and has depth to it and not very spicy. The plum flavor was very distinct. But based on personal preference liked the hamachi more Ora king salmon- 4.7/5- very good the lemon flavor was so nice. The only thing is i felt the nigiris had too much wasabi at the end and the sizes are quite tiny Salmon toro (belly)- 4.7/5- really good. Same as above a little too much wasabi at the end and small size. Like the ora king more Hamachi Apple- 5/5 nice sweetness in the beginning from the apple and then a little bit of spice later on. Really enjoyed this one a lot lighter Kudamono 3/5- the banana is interesting and pleasant in texture but i would say overall compared to the other rolls. Tastes more average and familiar to a typical roll youd get elsewhere Soto 2.0- 5/5 really good had a nice depth of flavor. This and the hamachi were the favorites Uni pasta- 5/5- really enjoyed the depth and flavor. Less on the uni side and more a creamy and thick taste that is really good Risotto- 5/5 - very good and freshly warm

My husband's $30 roll never arrived and neither did the edamame he ordered.... Yet, I do believe we paid for both. Also, I paid HOW MUCH FOR 6 slices of Anago Sashimi**. I'm NEVER going to get over how insanely priced this restaurant is. And it really isn't much better, or even better at all, than a HOLE IN THE WALL spot that's all you can eat... Call me "trash" if you want but I have eaten at THOUSANDS of sushi spots, high end, low end, Michelin star rated, food poisoning inducing (lol) and this restaurant falls into the category of "wanna be" fancy but you can tell it's trying too hard. Was the fish good? Sure. Was it worth the $450 I wound up spending... For 2 people... NOT EVEN A LITTLE. **THEY CHARGED ME $64 for 6 slices of Anago sashimi, even though on the menu it was $7 per slice. ** They also charged me $110 for a sashimi platter, and I have absolutely NO CLUE where they came up with this number. Truly pissed off at this restaurant. ALWAYS TRIPLE CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING!!!!! This restaurant stole from us.

After receiving the notification that our order was ready, I waited in the designated curbside spot for about 10 minutes. Eventually I had to painfully get out of the car, only to find our food sitting on the pickup shelf while employees were standing around talking. The much bigger issue came when we got home. We were eating dinner while watching a movie in dim lighting when I happened to notice my boyfriend's chicken was completely undercooked. It was still pink throughout, with some areas even appearing bloody. By the time we realized it, he had already eaten quite a bit of it. He ended up spending the night very sick. Undercooked chicken is a serious food safety issue, not just a quality issue. Mistakes happen, but serving raw chicken can make people extremely ill, and that's exactly what happened here. I'm posting this because I hope management takes it seriously. We have always enjoyed Loro, which is why this experience was so shocking. I hope they improve both their food safety practices and their curbside service so this doesn't happen to someone else.

The gravel parking lot usually has space available and there are a few benches with umbrella stands if you'd like to eat there. The selection of fish is pretty good and I ordered a toro and unagi. Food came out about 15 minutes after ordering. The presentation was solid - they came out in these cute wooden trays and stands for each hand roll. The first thing that stood out to me was how small the rolls were. After tax and tip (yes I know this is optional; I'm still torn on tipping for food trucks but the guilt is strong and I now love places that don't add a tip option) it was nearly $10 a roll and they were probably 3 - 4 small bites each. The unagi and toro itself were good, but I couldn't believe how I felt no more satiated than before I ate them but was $20 poorer. I think what I struggle with was (1) prior reviews and pictures did seem well portioned, so there may be inconsistencies in prep, and (2) if I'm going to pay fine sit down sushi prices ($60 - $100 to get full), I might as well goto a nice sushi place. Ultimately I think the product is good, but the value and niche they're filling as a sushi food truck doesn't quite make sense to me.
