They do charge extra for a side of ranch. Service was surprisingly fast, especially for a Sunday when the area and nearby restaurants were packed. Angry Chickz

I'd never heard of this restaurant chain until I bumped into one of its locations during lunch…read more The first thing I learned about Angry Chickz is that there's a lot of them out there. They're all over NorCal in cities like Sacramento, Elk Grove, Vacaville, and Brentwood where I found them. The second thing I learned about Angry Chickz is they can really slap you in the face... with the heat! They sell some spicy Nashville style chicken, and know how to make it burn. I ducked and ordered my food mild, so it wasn't such a harsh blow. I had the combo #1 for $17.00, which seemed a bit expensive because it didn't come with a drink. But, they did give me a lot of fries, and the "sliders" were more like regular size sandwiches, so it was a really big meal. The third thing I learned about Angry Chickz is they don't hold a grudge when they cook. I may have annoyed them a bit because I showed up 10 minutes before opening and stared in the window drooling the whole time, but that didn't affect my food. My sandwiches still came on a nice soft bun, had plenty of creamy coleslaw, crisp pickles, and tender fried chicken in the middle. The combination of crunchy pickles, cool slaw and spicy chicken really complimented each other. The fries were seasoned really well and very crispy. They gave me plenty sauce to dunk them, and didn't charge me extra for it, so I appreciated that. The fourth and final thing I learned about Angry Chickz is they burn off a lot of steam cleaning. The restaurant was incredibly clean inside and out. The bathrooms were in good order, the chairs organized, and tables wiped down. I didn't see a sign of a mess anywhere. I'll be the first to tell you, Angry Chicks can seem a bit intimidating at first. But they ain't so bad once you get past the tough chick exterior.

Did a DoorDash pickup order…read more Order 6 tender meal and 2 Mac and cheese cups. The Mac and cheese isn't worth the price. The chicken and fries were good. If in person I'm sure the fries would have been better or maybe I should have noted for extra crispy fries. But everything had nice flavor. I ordered half country and half mild for the tenders. We like to give a try of the base flavor to go off. Some places base (basic) fried chicken don't have much flavor at all. But angry chickz was great. My kids were asking for more. 8oz sauce is more than enough for the 6 tender meal.
