Did a DoorDash pickup order. Order 6 tender meal and 2 Mac and cheese cups. The Mac and cheese isn't worth the price. The chicken and fries were good. If in person I'm sure the fries would have been better or maybe I should have noted for extra crispy fries. But everything had nice flavor. I ordered half country and half mild for the tenders. We like to give a try of the base flavor to go off. Some places base (basic) fried chicken don't have much flavor at all. But angry chickz was great. OK, this is my second visit and now I can do a review. I came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Last time I ordered the Hangry bowl hot and while it was super good, it was way too hot for me. Usually when you order spicy food at places it's not really spicy at all so that's why I went straight for the hot. But man, it was way too hot for me. I wanted to try a new restaurant with my don. This is in a shopping center that has plenty of parking. The place is nice and open. We ordered a number 1 it's two chicken sandwiches you can get both different flavors with fries. The total cost was $16 but I was surprised it didn't come with a drink. We didn't wait to long service was really fast. We did get our order to go and the cook took it all the way to our table. The chicken was really good it was perfectly cooked and flavors were on point. The fries were crunchy and seasoned. This is a great meal for two . Above and beyond expectations... very simple concept with great product, friendly customer service, clean location with nice ambiance, I don't do spicy so I had the country version of their chicken which was not spicy at all ‍ the chicken is so tender, juice and fresh I was very surprised. My wife had the hot version of their Angry Mac bowl and she can handle spicy but this was too spicy lol. Next time bring it down to the mild she said! We've never had a bad experience here. Maybe a few minor mistakes but nothing that would make us not want to come back. The Angry Mac is a favorite at our house. When we do come here, we always order to-go and bring it back home. A few times, they put the wrong spice level on our chicken, but it's not the biggest mistake in the world. The food is always good and consistent, and it's close by to a lot of places where we run our errands so it's a convenient dinner option for us. Employees are always nice and friendly. Everyone loves this place so I decided to try it out. I even tried it twice, and I still think Hot Boys is better. Combo #1: two sliders and fries Sliders might be an understatement, these are definitely full sandos. Comes with slaw and a long piece of chicken to the spiciness level of your choice. I went with Medium. It wasn't spicy for me, but I'm usually good with spicy. The fries were pretty good, especially with the sauce that comes with it. Combo #4: two tenders with rice The rice was buttery, which is not what I wanted or expected, but I guess they didn't want plain white rice on the menu. Loaded fries It was ok...too pickle heavy, and the slaw just made everything real soggy. I got this one at the Hot level (which also has to come with a ghost pepper warning), but the spice was cut by the slaw. Definitely not worth it imo, just get the guap fries from Hot Boyz. The bathroom kinda sucked. Two stalls in the women's restroom, one ran out of toilet seat covers, the other one didn't even have the holder for toilet seat covers, so they were just on the floor. Angry Chickz neither made me angry or happy. I should have just gone to the less angry hallelujah chicken sammy place. Driving to Brentwood through the Vasco corridor I got hungry, or should I say hAngry. Typed in chicken sandwich and Angry Chickz popped up. So I decided to give them a try. The location of the restaurant is tucked way in the back of a shopping center. Like wayyyy back behind the Ross store. There is no drive-thru so if you are driving with your shoes and/or pants off, this may not be the ideal place. I walked in and asked the friendly employee what was popular. I was secretly hoping the workers would be angry and cussing me out like the hotdog place in Chicago... To my surprise, she said (nicely) the Angry Mac bowl. I looked at the bowl that consists of a heap of mac and cheese with chicken and their signature sauce and decided on a hard pass and went with the slider combo (Combo 1). I mean, with all this myocarditis going around, it seemed like the safer choice. After paying for Combo 1 with a mild hot spicy level (as I get older my anus tells me it doesn't like the burn), which consists of two large fried chicken sliders and fries, I realized it didn't come with a drink. It would have been helpful at an angrily spicy chicken joint to include the drink in the combo or have employees tell customers that drinks are not included in the combo. Like common sense right? I mean they have a waiver if you order their spiciest level. Just include the drink in the combo yo. So yes, I had to make two transactions. One for the combo and one for the $2.50 fountain drink. The system even asked me to tip for the freaking soda. Annoying. So if you get Combo 1 and a drink it will be over $20. Is the chicken good? Yes. But I kind of wished the coleslaw was offered as a side and not put in the sandwich. Bread gets soggy. The chicken is good quality but the crust is not as crispy as other chains like Raising Cane's or Popeye's. My husband got the combo # 3 which has a chicken strip, fries, slider, and a thick sliced piece of bread. The bread is thick like Texas toast, but it doesn't have any garlic butter or anything on it. The fries were good too but nothing amazing enough to jelly my jam. We went on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. There Mac and cheese was very mild in cheese flavor and I tasted a spice profile that seemed to be jalapeño. I think I prefer Kraft deluxe in the box over this Mac and cheese. The fries were soggy by the time they got to me. Very interesting consistency. The fries seemed soft but dense at the same time. They were probably the worst item in the meal. The chicken itself was moist and packed full of flavor. We both ordered medium spice. It was just the right amount of heat. The coleslaw was good and the pickle added the perfect salty touch. However, my bun was a little soggy too. Overall, the sandwich was the best item in the combo. The restaurant itself has an odd layout. Same as the restaurant before them. We ordered the Combo #1 - one mild and one medium (unfortunately we could not tell the difference, but I was happy with my "mild") The chicken itself was fantastic and also all accompaniments were also fresh and top quality. Bloody seven hells that was hot. Me and my daughter drove some errands on a lazy Saturday afternoon and on I whim, I decided to stop by Angry Chickz since it just recently opened. We did start our wait outside the restaurant but reckon it was only about ten minutes until our orders were taken. I didn't really get a chance to read the menus in depth so I opted for combo #1. I did, specify though that I wanted X-Hot and see if their reputation really holds true. I also got another pair of combo #1's for my kids and wifey, with a much milder Country style which had no heat. Boy their prices were really up there. Waiting for our to-go's, I cannot help but feel the sting to my wallet. Alas, our orders were surprisingly quick to get out, despite the line getting longer. As we opened our meal in the house I can say that combo #1 can be legitimately be shared by two. I first swiped the fries and it was pretty good. Seasoned just right with a proper outside crunch. I finally had a bite of my X-Hot sandwich. I sensed a proper pickle and okay 'slaw until heat engulfed my entire mouth. Okay, heat department they were legit. I could not imagine tackling Angry level of heat. Nevertheless, it took me about 15 minutes to finish one slider and yielded to the second one. Once my taste buds recovered with a help of some milk, I tried the kids sandwiches which were devoid of heat. They were bland to tell you the truth. It was somewhat dry on the inside and apart from the passable coleslaw and crunchy pickles, it was a mediocre chicken sandwich. I did like their buns with a light hint of sweetness that helped the sandwich. Thinking back to my fiery sandwich, I question my overall experience. True, the heat and pain is there. But like my kid's sandwich, where the flavor? I have tortured myself before with other cuisines, like an Indian biriyani or a Chinese mapo tofu. But in those instances, I cannot help but keep on munhing because along the heat came complex wonderful flavors. Angry Chickz was just heat. The rice had no seasoning (was supposed to be butter with the rice?) the Mac and cheese was your homemade type velveta m&c but again no real taste to it. The chicken was just spicy. No other spices or flavor combinations to compliment it. And last but not least the coleslaw, which ultimately became warm from the other foods. Ever have hot coleslaw. Not that great. Second up was the combo 1. Two hot sliders, with slaw pickles and fries. Seriously, it was the same experience as the bowl. The only worthy thing was the fires. But you can't really mess up fries. Why are we excepting box Mac and cheese? We can not let this be the norm people. Why are we excepting bland food, no spice, no flavor, no explosion of taste. We ordered the #3, it had toast, single chicken strip, and sandwich with fries with the country no spice with an extra strip $5 on the side. The chicken strips were barely coated and soggy. The worst part after eating inside the restaurant: leaving and smelling like the fry oil. My new sweater smelled like frying oil and my daughters clothes smelled like the fry oil. I have been going to this location since it opened and lately service and food preparation has gone downhill. My last four times I have gone there has always been something wrong; plates looking as they are missing food being less than half full, to rice being hard due to undercooked and the worst has been when ordering no spice/hotness for the chicken due to it going to my young children, they seem to get same level of spice as mine (Hot-Ghost pepper) and we end up tossing the food out. I always take my food to go and trust my orders are the way I asked, but when getting home to see they are wrong, it's to far of a drive back to have them fix my order. I always pick up the order on my drive home due to it being along the way. Today was my last draw, I ordered for my wife a hangry fix sub slaw for extra rice, tell me why there was no Mac and cheese at all in the bowl. The counter person read back my order and my order was right on my receipt, then why was I missing a big part of the order? My wife was disappointed and I upset. No matter how much my family wants food from here , going to pass every time now. They lost a quick $100 from me and I would go at least twice or more a week. Disappointing Decline in Quality I was really looking forward to revisiting Angry Chicks, but sadly, it's not what it used to be. The tables were all dirty when we arrived, and it didn't seem like anyone was planning to clean them up. When my food finally came out, the bun on the slider was broken, and the chicken was ridiculously oversized--about three times the size of the bun, making it impossible to eat comfortably. The sliders were served soggy. To top it off, they apparently no longer provide sauce unless you pay for it, but they're more than happy to give you 50 packets of honey. There were also no napkins available, which made the messy/sticky meal even worse. Overall, it was a super disappointing experience, especially considering how much better this place was when it first opened. Not sure I'll be coming back anytime soon. read more

The mac and cheese and the chicken had very little flavor besides for the copious amounts of powder they mixed in our food. They put more than we wanted and made it inedible, and refused to refund us when we explained we cant even eat the 30$ meal. The guy at the counter helping us was cool, but he didnt even tell us that "hot" Means so spicy you cant eat more than 2 bites. When I called the manager explained how we were warned and that its ghost pepper when the guy at the counter didnt warn us at all. I would not reccomend, Daves hot chicken is way better! read more
