Came by to try this place out since it's down the street from us and recommended by my neighbor months ago. The exterior felt super underwhelming so I wasn't sure what to expect when entering but I was really surprised by how inviting it was- for a moment I forgot I was in Oakley! The staff are super attentive and kind and provided great recommendations. We were given a bowl of chips along with a warm bean dip and a side of salsa which were tasty and filling enough to not get an appetizer although we did opt in for the mozzarella sticks for our little one. I'm not a fan of mozzy sticks but I had to try to ensure they weren't too hot and they were yummy! On to the drinks! We got the Jamaica and a hibiscus margarita which were delicious and not overly sweet. For our main course, I got a single flauta and two hard tacos while my husband got something equally as good. They were soo good and super filling that I couldn't eat my last taco but definitely got them to go. Definitely coming back for more!

Unassuming restaurant. Once inside, you're transported to a different place-vibrant colorful. Very friendly people, excellent service. I had the goat birria and it was very good.

Great restaurant with excellent service. Ruby always makes sure my mom's drink is prepared exactly how she likes it and takes the time to remember our orders and preferences. Thank you, Ruby, for the wonderful service!

    $21.20! One taco salad!

The only thing giving this a 3rd star is the friendly staff. I must say that I am very disappointed with the cost of a taco salad! $21.20 for a taco salad! $17.99 for the salad and over $3.00 for the smallest side of pico ever! No specialty meats. Just pork. If I had driven just a bit further to La Costa, I would have payed $12.00! And gotten free salsa from the salad bar! Just reverse the numbers!

We live pretty close to 7 Mares Grill and have been here a few times before, but that was quite a while ago. Had mixed experiences here but heard that they renovated their restaurant post-COVID, so we figured we would give them another try. When we walked inside the restaurant, it looked nice! We were seated right away and offered chips and salsa with bean dip. The salsa was flavorful and a little spicy and the bean dip was smooth and yummy. When it came time to order, I ordered two fish tacos and my wife ordered one shrimp taco. I enjoyed my fish tacos and consider them to be among the better ones I've had out here. The fish was moist, juicy, and cooked to perfection. My wife found her shrimp taco to be flavorful but the shrimp was tough and overcooked. I'll come back here again. I enjoyed the food and the service was good.

I got the order of bean dip with the fresh chips, which was very very yummy.

I got an order delivered from DoorDash and the food was amazing. Two grilled chicken enchiladas with red sauce that came with beans and rice . I ordered a tiny guacamole and sour cream which complemented the meal . The chicken enchilada with green sauce was also very delicious as was the fresh crispy tortilla chips with the delicious bean dip . Give this place a try you will be glad you did . Bon appétit

Shrimp Taco and Tripas Taco SO GOOD!

Our friends kept telling us about 7 Mares and they invited us to go with them yesterday. We ordered 2 beers a Peach Margarita on the rocks and a Lime Margarita blended. The lime was mine and it was so refreshingly good. Looking over the menu it was hard to choose. Being my first time there I wanted to get some thing I normally would get someplace else so I could compare. But then I saw something on the menu that I don't find anywhere and that is Tripas Tacos! Not everyone is a fan... And some of you might not know what it is, but I won't go into detail... I'll just say that I love them... If they are cooked right. Upon taking my order, the server asked how I wanted them cooked and that was a very good sign. I like mine crunchy and if they come soft, it's too chewy and not a fan of that. I also ordered a shrimp taco. My husband ordered enchilada dinner because that's his usual. I tried a taste of the red sauce off his plate and I really liked it. We absolutely loved our meal. Each of my tacos had their own type of sauce. Both were so tasty. My husband loved his enchilada dinner. We will definitely be going back. I want to try other dishes, but those tacos were so good. It's going to be hard not to order them again.

Good people and food. I love this place. They have the biggest steak and shrimp burrito ever! It' can feed a family of 4-5.

This Hawaiian French restaurant is something out of LA, San Francisco, or even Honolulu/Waikiki. Such a great brunch spot! The interior decor is like a ruined old-French still quarter building with the visuals of balconies just like Paris. There are even classic vintage French poster prints on the wall with an island touch of plants hanging and the music of Polynesian reggae in the background. The menu is great with lots of items to choose from as well as a wine list. We started with a mimosa carafe with 5 different juice flavors to choose from like mango, strawberry, passionfruit, orange, etc. I ordered their Loco Moco which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I did love the way they cooked my burger patty (medium), so it had some nice char texture. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp with coconut fried rice. This tasted delicious and very authentic. It was better than some dishes I actually had in Hawaii. The French toast was regular and tasted nothing different than other's I've tried. It was toasted more than the usual to give it some crispy texture in which I loved. Overall, this bistro is phenomenal, and I will definitely take my family here for brunch next time. Their service is quick and very attentive which is important. Even though the place got packed up, the two employees frequently checked on people. I want to try more, and I'll be back soon.

The bar room was offered and based on our experience of a live band or good music we chose of our area. Unfortunately, the service ( if there was any) was non existent . We sat there for more than 10 minutes. No one asked us a question. Came to check on us or anything. They watched us. Do you have a food return to the dining room with menus and hand and no one attempted to see what was going on There were only two other couples sitting in the room. It was almost empty. We wound up moving back to the dining area because we plan to have tea and coffee. Once we or seated in the main dining area, the service was stellar. They checked on its regularly. We got water immediately. They took our order within 3 to 5 minutes that continue to check on us throughout the meal refilled our beverages. It is regularly crowded there the beautiful world that room is covered by direct sunlight from the windows that show you the waterfront there's plenty of seating, the music is loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversation and enjoy your meal simply perfect I got my favorite the crab sand, which is at market price and delicious. My husband had a jumbo shrimp scrambled that comes with bacon and avocado, and it was delicious. I adore this restaurant and I really enjoy the fact that they've started covering the outdoor patio area so you don't have direct Son. It's a perfect place to enjoy a good Saturday or Sunday brunch with friends and family. It's always have fun. How am full of live with people enjoying their meal Except to spam $50-$75 a person depending on what you choose to eat from the menu and what type of beverage you have and that only includes one beverage Your average brunch scramble or omelette runs about 30 bucks. Anything seafood will be 40 bucks plus coffee and $3.75 and refillable which I love and I can't really show you the cost of a cocktail. It's been a minute.

My family and I decided to have Mother's Day brunch here and unfortunately I don't think we'll be back. We expected there to be a decent wait time, being that it was a Sunday and Mother's Day. We waited 3 hours to be seated and another hour for our food. We were placed at the back of the restaurant and were even serviced after people who were seated after us. Our server only checked on us to take our order, bring us our food, and bring us our check when prompted. We asked for napkins and to go boxes that never came that we had to get ourselves. My husband couldn't eat his food that was packaged to go because of how long it took to receive it. We also received our appetizer after our main meal. When the bill came there was an automatic gratuity added, which truly wasn't a problem. I totally understand restaurant procedure of large parties, but for the lack of service we received..... I could forgo everything if the customer service was there and it wasn't. I love to support and highlight individuals for their amazing service, hard work, and dedication. It's unfortunate I can't do it here. I truly hope that the feedback is heard and that the team leans on each other and supports each other better to elevate the business.
