It came with rice, beans, and cole slaw which felt out of place. The chile relleno was good. We started with an order of bean dip and cheese , it was lacking flavor and needed salt. My husband and I had lunch at La Plazuela today, and once again, it was absolutely delicious! We've been a few times now, and every visit has been consistently great. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, and the service today was no exception; friendly, attentive, and helpful. My husband ordered the #5 combo: Enchilada with Chile Relleno. The server gave him a heads-up that the current batch of chiles was a bit spicier than usual, which he appreciated, he loves spice, so it was actually a bonus. He said the chile relleno was incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat to enhance the dish without overpowering it. And the enchilada? He said it was the best he's ever had, rich, satisfying, and perfectly prepared. I had the Super Burrito Asada, and it was absolutely perfection. The burrito came lightly grilled, which added the perfect texture. The meat was tender and packed with flavor, and all the ingredients were balanced so well, every bite had the right mix. After attending the Wine festival this past Saturday, we approached your business wanting to have a sit down meal. Well, the service and food was horrible. First off we waited at least 30 min before we as patrons ask to be seated. Once seated another 30 minutes before water was brought to table for $2.00 a bottle. The manager Lidia yelled at my son for just asking for water. She was very unprofessional from the beginning to the end of our experience. Then you all tried to double charge my son for drinks. Riquísima! Delicious! Our go-to mexican food restaurant in Antioch. It's not very busy, which is surprising. We tend to go for lunch. I usually won't go if I can make it better myself. The beans and rice are flavorful, the chips are crispy and the salsa is not hot, but a nice consistency. The chile relleno has a good balance of chile and cheese. The tamale does have a bit more masa tha. I like, but it's still good. Everything we've had so far has been good. The portions are huge.The service is always good. We definitely enjoy La Plazuela. This is a late post from yesterday 02.12.22. I love going to new places so, my niece and I decided to come to this spot. We were just looking to snack on a couple of things because it was almost dinner time. We also ordered to go because we wanted to just eat it in the car. The restaurant is huge, very colorful decorations, and it looks like you can throw a private birthday party here. There's a stage. Service was ok at first. Staff were nice and friendly but the food took forever. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and we only ordered a burrito, mini chimichangas, and horchata. The food...well the reason why we came to the place was because of the rating. Chimichangas we're horrible. My niece liked her burrito she said it was ok. So I don't know what happened but I got old food or it was moldy. I took a really big bite of one and it tasted like dirt. I'm happy I didn't get sick or throw up. When I looked at the meat it was green. The other pieces were brown. And the recipe did not have vegetables therefore it should not have been green. I immediately returned it. The lady did not apologize and said that was the meat, well if that's the meat I'm not coming back. She did try to offer me new ones but I said no and asked for my money back. That was the first time I've ever gotten bad food like that. Maybe they had a bad day I don't know, but I know meat does not look green. Came here tonight to celebrate my sister in laws birthday party. Our waitress, Leticia started off by questioning why we were there so late. We got there at 7 pm and they close at 8:30. My brother told her because it was the day of his wife's birthday. The immediate bad attitude from Leticia was uncalled for. When we were ordering for the kids, I asked her for a rice and bean plate. She had an attitude for me asking how much of the rice and beans were given, and just gave an attitude saying "I don't know how much your kid eats," instead of saying it's half and half on a full plate. I ordered 2 just in case, and with her horrible attitude made gestures with her arms and asked me what kids it was for. When my dad asked for his drink he asked if they had diet sprite. Again with her attitude she answered my dad like he was stupid. She clearly didn't want to serve us or something. Then when we were trying to take pictures, she yelled at my boyfriend that he couldn't take pictures of the kids inside. She was rude to almost everyone at our group that interacted with her. Mind you that we were the only people there! On top of that she kept trying to charge me for 2 plates that I didn't even order, even after telling her what I got 4 times. She kept ignoring what I was saying. The food was good, but not worth the bad customer service that came from LETICIA. If it would have been up to me, the only tip she would have gotten was to give better customer service. She didn't apologize or even try to be nice. Have been wanting to try this place as we've been to most other Mexican restaurants in the area except this one. Restaurant was empty at 5PM. Servers were kind. Rice and beans were okay. Unfortunately I needed a chainsaw to cut through my flautas, Over fried and hard as a rock. My companion ordered a chimichanga and enchenchilada, ended up getting a flauta instead of the chimichanga. Came here for dinner tonight for the first time and our server Lydia recommended some wonderful suggestions! We tried the bean dip and added a bit of mole and it was delicious! The margaritas were amazing! I personally preferred the original but the mango was a good dessert! My husband ordered the wet burrito with two sauces and the carnitas and I had a combo plate with a taco, Chile relleno, and an enchilada. Aside from the moles being too thin, everything was seasoned well and the highlight was definitely the carnitas and the beans. Sooo good! The bit of pickled slaw set off the carnitas perfectly. Check this spot out on a Friday evening. Came to have a few drinks and some dinner and ended staying for a little dancing with a DJ. Nice spot. Great place for big parties to eat or hold events. Has an outside patio for a little relaxation. Nice bar accommodates about 15 people to sit at and plenty of booths and tables. Food was good. I enjoyed the fish tacos and some shrimp tacos. Also had the fresh made guacamole. The Asada burrito was really good as well. Full of all the fixings. Beans, rice, sour cream guacamole and salsa. Great staff. I was out as a vendor at the recent Hot Rods for Paws at the Antioch Riverfront and was starved. I happen to look over my shoulder and see La Plazuela's sign. Since I love comida Mexicana & the restaurant was literally across the street I decided to give it a try. So happy I did......the food is really good, the restaurant is open, well lit & clean. The lady that took my order was super friendly. In our order was an avocado tostada....that thing was piled high with beef, avocado & toppings. The single tostada was a full meal for the person eating it. I ordered the tamale combo plate that came with beans, rice & Cole slaw. The tamale was stuffed full of pork, there was a big helping of rice that was fresh and soft and beans topped with cheese & super creamy. I don't usually like beans but I devoured these. The tamale sauce was good, some places I've had it the sauce had a slight bitter taste, this one was perfect spice and good flavor. We also ordered guacamole & chips.....the order was HUGE compared to some places......the guacamole was super fresh tasting, topped with chopped tomatoes & onions. They threw in a small cup of salsa with the chips....it was more like fresh chopped pico de gallo versus cooked blended salsa. And it had the perfect spice for everyone to enjoy Overall I really enjoyed my meal, La Plazuela is now on my list of go to places.
