Had a personally stressful experience. I submitted my online order at 12:50pm. I set my order pick up time for 1:30pm. I walked in at 1:35pm and they hadn't started making it yet. I did not get my food until 2:05pm. I had my newborn and wife in the car, we set that order time so the order would be ready for pickup right shut away as our newborn cries in his car seat whenever we are stopped, so the goal was to be in and out. He cried the whole time, I should have left but the one saving grace about this place is that the food is good. But why give the option for a pick up time, the nice girl at the front desk wasn't even aware that I set a pick up time. I didn't ask for a discount, refund, or complain. But this seems like an aspect of their service that definitely needs some correction. read more

I honestly don't understand how this place has a 4.6 rating. The service was disgusting, and the food was just as disappointing. It's 4 PM on a Saturday and multiple items are already unavailable. At that point, you might as well just close early. No guacamole, no avocado, and don't expect a discount but if you ask for something extra, they'll gladly charge you $3. The salsas taste like diluted Tapatío or something similar. The cheese inside the damn thing wasn't even melted. The food was cold, salty, and honestly just trash. And before anyone asks no, it's not even cheap. For what they charge, you'd expect at least decent food and service. There are street vendors in the nearby parking lots that are far better than this place. Honestly, I don't know how El Burro Veloz expects to compete with them. (I know Im already catching diarrhea). Upon arrival the cashier took long to attend us since he was busy making drinks( bad first impression) Food took a while for it to come out but it was worth it. Tacos de asada and lengua I recommend. For starters, my Togo order was for an Al pastor burrito-I received carne asada instead. I said ok, the food is good so I'll deal with it this time. NOPE! It was horrible. The meat inside was completely inedible. It was all tough fat trimmings!! This is completely unacceptable. I thought this establishment cared about what they served. Wanting to try something new, I ordered a Bistek Nápoles Perrona. Looking at the price, I expected it to be small but the portion was so good for the price point. The steak was super saucy and the flavors were on point! There was a slight eggy taste (I couldn't find out where it was coming from). My friend ordered a burrito and that was good as well! Our absolute favorite spot!! For a while, this place was our Gordita spot & that's the only thing we'd get (aside from like horchata). We came with a friend & he decided to get a burrito.... The best was the barbaco taco ( flavorful meat and tortillas). I did like the onions, cilantro and limes that were provided. The agua fresca we had was the cucumber and lime , that was delicious. No complimentary chips though, they cost an extra 2.99. All in all it was an ok experience. Not the best, not the worst. With so many taco places in the area, it comes down to the little things. They catered my large community event at Antioch High School by preparing and providing 400 burritos for our students and families, and they were delicious! They were very professional, on time with our delivery order, and also provided coolers to keep the burritos warm.
