I love this place, but this visit absolutely sealed the deal all over again. We ordered the carne asada super burrito and it was perfection. It was packed with flavorful, juicy meat and had the ideal ratio of beans, rice, and cheese -- every bite was balanced and satisfying. No skimpy filling here. Just a beautifully built burrito done right. The chips and guacamole were just as impressive. The chips came out hot, thin, and perfectly fresh -- that light crisp that shatters just right. The guacamole tasted bright and fresh, clearly made with care and real ingredients. We also tried the pastor torta, and wow. It was loaded with tender, well-seasoned meat, and the bread was soft, fresh, and toasted perfectly. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- exactly how a torta should be. Every component worked together so well. And the piña agua fresca? Super fresh and refreshing -- the perfect complement to everything we ordered. We come here often, but this time we switched it up and tried the burrito -- and it did not disappoint. This is easily one of the best taquerias in town. This place was on my list to try. I'm glad I finally did. Ordered asada and pastor super burrito's, everything. Super meaty! Meat was super tasty, super satisfying. Every bite. I forgot to ask for salsa, but I didn't even need it. DELICIOUS! Also ordered a pastor torta (that was eaten later in the day). Was STILL delicious even-though the bottom was soggy. Had a firearm pulled on me in the front parking lot so I went in to see if they can call the police or help me because I was being followed. instead I get violently kicked out by staff in the store. The next day I come back just asking for camera footage of the person following me with a firearm and the dad/ manager cussed me out said no I'm not giving you anything and physically grabbed me by shirt and threw my out the restaurant. However, our experience was ruined by the extremely rude behavior of the staff/manager who ever he is. DISAPPOINTING -- NEVER EVER AGAIN! We've passed this taqueria tons of times since it opened. I waited for the Yelp Reviews to increase to minimum 4 stars. The vibe of this corner business lot is sketchy (for my comfort level), but my nephew has been super satisfied with El Guerrerito every time, so we finally gave it a try last night. This morning, I checked my bank account and was charged TWICE for $49.95. I called El Guerrerito. After researching, the man says he only saw one charge on the ATM (I did not use the ATM, I said. I used a Debit Card), and on the camera (okay, so their camera is not up to snuff either). Hmmmm...that's not what my bank account says this morning. I was already annoyed by both Super Burritos' lack of flavor, and now I had to call my bank to clear the double charge, further leaving a bad taste in my mouth. We ordered (2) Super Burritos: One Carnitas, one Carne Asada; and, (1) order of four Quesabirrias. Both burritos were generously filled with meat, cheese, rice, and beans (to their credit, generous portions are a plus!), HOWEVER, I was hard-pressed to see/taste the guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo in both burritos. I would have ordered Regular Burritos if I'd known that! Both meats lacked "sabor" making the overall burrito experience a downer. I tasted mostly greasy meat. I even added lime and pico de gallo from my frig. The extra guacamole I ordered on the side was more like a green salsa. I cannot speak for the Quesabirrias, which looked tasty, but that order was for another family member who also doused their order with lime. Even IF I was not charged double, I would not be able to provide a satisfying review. Sorry, El Guerrerito (little soldier/warrior in English). This is one battle you have severely lost. read more

It's a bit weird on the weekends you order inside then they tell you to go outside to give them part of your ticket then get some food there and to come back for the rest. Not much seating inside. My wife was safe and settled for a couple of steak and chicken tacos! My daughter who's one of the pickets eaters I know went with French fries with steak on top of it! Normal people would've called them steak fries but I digress! Then I went with the El Mexicano! And if you've ever had a Al's Special from Seminary Cafe this would be considered a Mexican lunch/dinner version! It is your choice of meat (I chose pastor) mixed with cheese, bell peppers, onions and jalapeño. And they throw maybe 4 taco size tortillas on top! The good: The outside sitting spot was bumping music and it looked like it could be jumping if the food match the atmosphere! I liked my meal. The meat was good (not great) and the meat mixture was good alone and pretty good in the shell. You could see the potential of the steak fries because they face my daughter a bunch of meat on top of those fries. The steak was decent. Wish the fries were a little bigger in size, but that would take away from the meat! My wife loved her steak tacos. The chicken not so much. The not so good: The chicken had the texture and tasted more like ground turkey. All the meat could've used a little bit more salt and pepper. Definitely get the red and green salsa to top off your delicious food. The green salsa isn't spicy, but full of flavor. The red salsa definitely has a kick but lots of flavor. This small spot in Antioch is right next to a liquor store. I ordered the asada burrito and took it to go. While I waited, I admired the dedication out into the shop: Mexican art, nice music and some seating inside. A lot of customers orders food in the restaurant, but got drinks next door For $10, the super burrito was amazing. I was so stuffed after, I don't think I ate the next morning. The portions were not only generous, but it was quality. The asada meat was well cooked, and all the ingredients inside complimented each other so well. I'm just another white girl, I know. But I have a deep love for non-traditional meat sources - cow tongue, pig brains, cheeks, bone marrow, fish roe, etc... The cabeza burrito here was FIRE! Tons of flavor! Not too greasy, not tough but not chewy or mushy, either. PERFECT. It was legit the first burrito I've had since moving to Antioch, and I gotta say: it rivals what I've eaten from street carts and carnicerias in Mexico, and I mean that in the BEST way - truly authentic flavors and very kind staff made it even more memorable. I was picking up pizza for the kids at Pizza Hut next to this place. It was raining but they had a set up outside and it smelled so good so I decided to get some of their supper fries with Al pastor and an asada burrito. The food came out quickly and was packaged well. Fries were bomb and a good portion. I'd say the pictures on here are accurate so 5 stars for consistency. The burrito was good sized, a little greasy and a bit more rice than I had expected but it held its integrity till I was able to get home and eat it. Salsa was good and fresh. The photos of this place are misleading. The Trompo meat spit does not exist and this isn't an outdoor street taco place. I walked in to find it's a regular taqueria with photos of a Trompo on the menu, that's about it. It has your basic tacos, burritos, tortas, and nachos but that's about it. Mr. Jenbert and I both got burritos, but they were fairly bland and Mr. Jenbert ended up finishing my burrito for me. I always come here and don't have no issues. I'm not sure what happened today but i'm highly disappointed knowing the food that i ordered today. The second I opened the foil there was excessive oil and it dripped down the burrito. From the first bite, which you see in the picture, it was falling a part which let me know it was poorly made. Probably not holding together because of the amount of oil. I used all the napkins they gave to try and soak it up but you can see from the burrito pic that there is oil dripping down. The taste was not great either. All I tasted was oil, spice from the al pastor and the pico de gallo--thats it. not sure if ill be coming back again. read more
