We were talking about Mexican spots in the area & she said she wasn't a fan of La Costa (arguably an Oakley staple for some) & prefers Los Charros any day so I said say less and had to give it a try! If you know me, you know I randomly crave tamales so I was happy when I saw they had it on the menu. Little did I know it was gon come with all the sauce (mole!) They definitely didn't disappoint & now I have to stop by & get it the next time I'm back in the area. I can't speak on ambiance because my husband did a take out order but he did mention multiple people coming in & praising the business! Small business, people typically take food to go. There are four small tables available inside but the ambiance is nothing to write home about. I've always done phone orders and they've always had good service, accurate orders and reasonable prices. We ordered grilled chicken super burrito, al pastor super burrito, quesadillas, bean dip and chips and horchata. Flavor of the burritos were good, although my grilled chicken burrito had a disproportionate amount of rice. The rice was good, just wish there was less of it and more of the other ingredients. Bean dip is similar to The Mecca's in flavor but a bit saltier. It's closer to home than my favorite, Salsa Taqueria so it's a reasonable alternative. I was at the laundromat a few doors down after my washing machine decided to go on strike and stop working. So after washing my clothes and loading them into my car, I decided to check this spot out. Upon entering I was greeted. The dining area is small, but not many people were eating in. I ordered the super carne asada burrito and hot salsa to go. I got home and found a movie to watch and unwrapped my burrito. I took a bite without salsa and it was flavorful. The salsa just added to it. I'll definitely be back to try more on the menu... and hopefully won't need to stop at the laundromat too much longer after the parts arrive. Los Charros is definitely worth a visit. read more

With the closing of Juarez in Antioch, I've been looking for a place with food like theirs. I've found it with Los Charros! The chicken tacos are so good. The mild and hot salsas are very yummy. We've been happy with everything we've tried so far. read more

This is a small restaurant that sits perhaps 20 customers and they have maybe 5 tables. Most of the customers are picking up their orders. They have excellent green salsa and half plates but the chicken burrito was disappointing. The burritos we got were watery. We had to use napkins to eat it and it made the tortilla wrap soggy. The place is not well ventilated and I wished they kept their door open for fresh air. The service is good but I wouldn't call it quality food. The overly watery burritos are definitely a disappointment. We also had their tacos, a taco plate, cheese and beans. Those were acceptable. read more

This place has gone downhill. Lets start with the rude, speed talking answering of the phone. Blahblahbalah please hold. Its disrespectful and rude. You're busy. Speak clearly ok. The actual location which I'm reluctant to call a restaurant. Greeted with an old worn half wit sign taped to the broken door that states" keep door closed" That door has been broken for years. How about fixing it. The tiny area where people can sit to eat is disgusting. Dirty and gross. They have a Covid sign that states they raise prices for some bs reason. Check your receipt! They have gone from a tiny bean dip free with a $25 dollar order to now its $50. And the kicker is they have completely screwed up our order the last 3 times and blamed us when we called about it. We catered food from this restaurant for our Christmas eve dinner,a treat for us because we always cook,so we decided as a family we were going to treat ourselves. When we picked up our order it was ready and hot!! We got it home and I was so impressed at the amount of food they packed in the trays.We ordered beef tacos,chicken tacos,enchiladas, rice and beans...it was all so delicious!! The enchiladas were fat and the sauce was filled to the max with deliciousnous...I would recommend this restaurant 10/10 everytime! We given this place multiple chances but keeps letting us down. Either the food is very dry or they forget something and even get the order wrong. We recently ordered and got home to an incorrect order yet again. We call to rectify the problem and they just told us to call back and talk to a manager. They honestly must think people eat out all the time. They give you 1 week to come back for the correction. My advice is check your order before you leave. I have ordered from here for so many years. Saturday we ordered food and I had my daughter pick up the order when she got back home to Discovery Bay she only had my Husband's dinner. Mine was missing, I looked at the time and they were already closed and also closed on Sunday's. I called this morning to talk to one of the managers names Claudia and told her what happened and her response was ok I will look for your ticket and call you back tomorrow. No apology at all. After I just got done telling her that my dinner was missing and they were already closed to where they couldn't even fix the mistake that they made.!! I then proceeded to tell her. Why do you guys make it so inconvenience for customers when it's a mistake that they made on their part it's like you guys are basically making a customer feel like they're lying to you! Like are you really hard up for the money that You have to retrieve a flipping ticket? It's completely ridiculous. My fault that I sent someone else to pick up my food, I didn't think that I had to have my daughter look at everything that I ordered because I've never had this problem before but again there's always a bunch of young kids working there and chitchatting talking on the phone every time that I go in there and pick up my food, this place doesn't even deserve not one star after my conversation today with the manager Claudia have some kind of compassion, especially after I spend money on food that I didn't get and had to go spend more money on McDonald's down the street read more

This is a hole in the wall spot in a strip mall, it doesn't look open at all but to my surprise it is. And it's popular. Behind the counter is a friendly young man and through the pas you can see two Hispanic women hard at work cranking out your food. I was impressed by the amount of the food you get here and the price is incredibly affordable. Fed my family of 6 for 50$!! I did feel it lacked some of the rich flavor and I was not a fan of the thick corn tortilla used for the enchiladas. Kids really enjoyed the burritos. Chili relleno was decent, again I needed to add salsa for flavor. I imagine that they need to cater to a milder palate? Free chips and salsa with order over 35$ don't forget to ask for it! Aside the fact that I live with a quarter mile and it is super convenient, their food is fantastic. They are a quick walk-in, pick up spot with Little to no indoor seating, but they are reasonably priced and delicious. The staff has always been super friendly as well. read more

Me and mom both like the burritos we got bean and cheese burritos and we didn't add avocado because they don't have that that's the only messed up part about this place. Overall I like them tacos they were a bit expensive when you don't buy a whole tray of them so you rather just buy a whole catering tray for like $25 instead of almost $17 for four. It wasn't like the best Mexican food my mom thought it was really good but I've had better but it was overall a really good experience and I would get it again and I can't say that about most places. Everyone raves about this place I think it's all right mom loves it. So it just depends on your taste buds everyone's different so check this place out it definitely is worth it there was people coming in and out and it was packed a whole time we were there so obviously it must be good but it's just a little bit pricey. There was this person that was next to us he got a catering thing possibly for New Year's or something he paid $117 the other person in front of us paid $40 and we paid like $30 so they rack up some dough here must be bomb.
