Im very excited about this torta place , since there isn't many torterias near by in the area, I had a torta and a green juice, the portions are big, everything was delicious, I ordered to go, it included chips and salsa. I order the torta de pierna it was pretty good lots of meat, it came with tomatoes, lettuce, onion and jalapeño. Ana helped me she was very pleasant. I guess it's opened since October, great place for take out or to eat lunch, the restaurant is clean, and everything was fresh, there's parking right out side. We had such a great experience here on our little date night. My husband and I shared the Cubano torta, and wow, it was absolutely delicious. The bread was perfect, the flavors balanced, and the sauces took it over the top. The owner explained the menu to us, making us feel right at home. He even brought us both sauces to try. The green one was tasty, but the orange habanero sauce was my favorite. It had the perfect kick with that roasted garlic and habanero flavor. The restaurant itself is super clean, cozy, and decorated so nicely that it feels inviting the moment you walk in. The owner was genuinely friendly and welcoming and clearly takes a lot of pride in both the food and the atmosphere. We don't get out often, but this place made our night special, and we can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. The wife ordered the chicken flautas and I had a super burrito and a Al pastor taco. Typically I start gauging a place by the salsa. Salsa was good lots of flavor some heat on the back end. The Al pastor taco was juicy and not crazy greasy. Lots of flavor. The carne asada burrito was awesome. It was huge, the habanero sauce provided was delicious. I forgot to ask if they also have whole beans as an option. My wife loved the chicken flautas. The presentation was impressive and I loved avocado slices on the flautas vs guacamole. Over all great food and very attentive customer service, I will return since I am now a fan. Try the Vampiro juice, super good. I found Tortas y Taquería Los Picudos 2 on Yelp and was a little nervous at first, thinking it might be the same torta place I tried years ago and didn't like. Spoiler: it was not the same place totally different, and SO much better. I placed an online order and immediately got an email saying it was declined. Before I could even open it, I got a call from Adan, the owner, personally explaining the situation. He was incredibly nice and apologized for having to decline the order because he didn't have strawberries for cremas fresas. He told me he could get them, but they weren't great quality since they're out of season and he didn't want to serve something subpar to his customers. I honestly respect that so much. I asked if I could just order over the phone instead, didn't even make me repeat my whole order even though many places do, which was a nice surprise. When I went to pick up, I met Adan in person and he was just as kind and apologetic about the inconvenience. Truly great customer service. Now the food... WOW. I wish I had a picture, but my husband and I devoured everything before I even thought about it. I ordered the pastor super burrito, and my husband got the carne asada. Both were packed with flavor, not oily, and very generous portions for the price. Adan even offered us an agua fresca for the inconvenience I chose the horchata and it was delicious: fresh, smooth, not grainy at all. We will definitely be back. First time trying this place and the food was DELICIOUS! I had the torta de milanesa de pollo. Chicken was not dry at all. Came wrapped up pretty tight, so no mess at all. I like that they brought different salsas to try. Service was great!! It was a little cold because the door would not close due to the hood in the kitchen being on, that did not affect my experience with the delicious food one bit. My favorite salsa is the habanero; packs a good punch of spicy and flavor. Our favorite order usually consists of tortas; cubana, milanesa de res, or shredded pork. They came with chips and salsa. The massive size of these tortas were wild as I'm a big dude and I only could half of each as I wanted to try both. The Cubana was the best torta I can remember ever having. All the different meats and queso fresco with the fresh bread was all so great. He gave me a little cup of a green sauce that I put on there too. So delicious. The Pastor was also very good. Similar to the other Torta but with pork instead of the 4 meats. Also had the queso fresco and green sauce. Both tortas come with chips and salsa which was good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as I hadn't been here before. The place is small with 5 or 6 table inside and one outside, and right on main st so easy to get to. Theres alot of other stuff to try and I should've got an agua fresca but I wasn't thinking. What a find! We tried this place for the first time last night, and I'm so glad we did. My husband loves authentic Mexican food and I happen to dislike cilantro. It makes it hard to both get what we like. This wonderful little place has both of us covered! We both absolutely loved the food. They actually give me the option of no cilantro on my dishes. A must try! So happy Los Picudos is not only back, but it's 5 minutes away from me. Growing up in SF, tortas los picudos was a go-to spot until I left. Highly recommend any of their tortas. I love the chicken milanesa with their salsa verde. As for their aguas frescas goes, they are fresh and on point. Limón con pepino was a 10/10. Last but not least, I appreciate the pupusas and quesadillas in their menu for my picky toddler. And let me finish by saying that they have the nicest staff working there as well.
