I called and ordered for dine in, and they told me 15 minutes. I headed out to the restaurant. Parking is on the side, so keep that in mind. I entered the place and let them know I was there for my dine in order. The place was quiet, clean, and neat. The food arrived at my table in no time, about 2 to 3 minutes. It was pleasant to see the effort the crew put into delivering such a nice presentation, from the water bottle to the shish kabobs and the chutney sauces. I loved the combination of flavors from the rice and meat together. I added the chutney sauces, both the green and red, which elevated the flavor to the next level. In case you do not like sauces, you will still enjoy the awesome flavor of the rice and the juicy meat from the shish kabob. The price is absolutely on point with the portion size, flavor, and presentation. I would recommend Alibaba Kabob House for a nice quiet family dinner. They also offer more options with chicken and lamb. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience with great food, excellent presentation, and flavors that make me want to come back and try more of the menu.

When we left the restaurant the outside felt cooler and fresh; the restaurant didn't have the AC on. The food was good. The rice tasted good but it didn't taste like it just came out of a pot. The side salad was cheap lettuce; no cucumber or tomatoes or salad dressing. I sincerely hope they improve their service or they will loose all the former clients. I do wish them the best but I'm not visiting them for a long time.

The jerk chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy, and so flavorful. The jerk sauce was sweet and savory with just enough kick and the red beans and rice was the perfect accompaniment. The bread pudding might have been the best I've ever had. That sauce was so good! The portions were generous, we had enough for my boyfriend and I for supper and leftovers for him to take to work for lunch the next day. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and you could just tell they really enjoyed what they were doing and put a lot of love into the dishes. Some of the people I was with had some dietary restrictions and the female employee who I think runs this place was sooo helpful in advising and recommending, as well as sharing where she could make accommodations or adjustments. The food itself was really, really good. I had low expectations honestly but my meal was top notch. The place itself looks nice on the inside and has a nice aesthetic but the customers can get a little rowdy sometimes. All in all, it was a very solid experience.

Oh, beloved Big Daddy. How I have missed you…read more After Big Daddy Ross' Cafe closed the doors to their Bay Point location, I was a lost, wayward child. Hungry, depleted, lost (and likely protein-deficient due to the loss of my beloved cheese omelet with avocado), I scoured the earth in search of another breakfast spot nearby, but none were worthy. They just didn't offer up the amazing flavor and friendly faces (hey Omar, Ross, Gaby and da crew!) that Big Daddy's always did. Then, one day, I was picking up a takeout order at a nearby brekkie spot and as I'm strollin' along, Ross himself runs out of their new location to greet me. It was a beautiful reunion and a welcome sight. I finally realized why I hadn't had my omelet in so long even though they had only relocated to downtown Pittsburg: the name change left me totally in the dark! But now that I'm back in the Light(house), I'm back to being a regular fixture in my old hangout. And it's just as good as it always was. Thanks, Big Daddy!
