Loved this place. Ordered to go. Took reco from counter server. It's a cute place. Clean , fresh and good amount of seating. I got a vietnamese coffee while order was being made. The coffee was excellent. $6. Didn't need any sugar and I wanted more. Spring Roll with shrimp. Two nicely sized rolls with peanut sauce. So fresh and tasty. two was perfect. $8.95 The Bahn Mi Marinated Pork sandwich $12.95 was excellent. The bread super fresh. Pork so tasting. Pickle/Cucumber and sauce was so tasty. It came with fries. They were good. Everything was fresh and nicely packaged. When I'm back in the area I want to try other items.
This place was tucked away in a shopping center I somehow never knew existed, so it already felt like I had stumbled onto a little hidden gem. It's seat-yourself, which I always appreciate because I don't have to awkwardly stand around wondering if someone has seen me. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us without hovering. The menu had a good variety, prices were fair, and there was plenty of seating and parking--always a win. They also had the World Cup on several TVs, so if you're trying to eat without missing the game, they've got you covered. I ordered the shaken beef with yellow rice, and it was the star of the meal. The beef was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and the yellow rice was delicious too. Overall, a solid spot with good food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! TLDR... Go!
Hopefully I can go back and give a better review, Saturday 08/15 me and my co worker walked In on our lunch hour to have some lunch. When we arrived the place was empty so we said perfect it should be fast and we'll have enough time. We sat down, placed our order and waited... as we waited more people started coming in . Some to dine in and some to go we started to notice everyone was getting their food and we were still waiting. A table a 4 who came after us got their food served so than we asked how much longer because at this point we only had about 15 min left of our lunch she said she'd go check she than came back and said. "Oh I'm sorry the kitchen didn't have your ticket but we'll get it out shortly" by the time our food was done it was time for us to leave so we had to ask for it to go. So we left without eating . By the time we got back to work it was time to clock in so we didn't even get to eat our food till later in the day. And me being 8 months pregnant I was supper hungry. I think minimum we could have been offered a discount or something for the inconvenience. As a server I think she should have also noticed it was taking long and gone in to check on the food but it was not till we asked her for an update. The food was good but like I said it was cold by the time I ate it. Maybe I'll give it another chance and hope I have a better experience.
A family member recommended this Vietnamese restaurant to us. We're so glad they did! The restaurant was clean and welcoming, the staff was super friendly, and the menu had a great variety of choices. We tried several different dishes and everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Pho is always one of my favorites, and of course I had to have a Thai tea too both were very good! It can get a little busy, which is always a good sign, but we had a great experience. It's easy to get to, definitely a place we'll be returning to. Happy to have found another good local restaurant!
I finally decided to try this spot because I've heard great things about here. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere we like. We sat down and instantly got the menu and water to drink. The customer service was excellent! They checked in on us and made sure we're doing alright. The place was nice and clean. My man ordered shaken beef with garlic noodles and fried chicken. I had the bbq beef with garlic noodles. The food was amazing and delicious. The meat was perfect, no bones or hella fat. The noodles was great. I def wouldn't mind coming back. It's a good amount of portions too. I wouldn't mind coming again.
After picking peaches in Brentwood, it was time to get some lunch. We checked on Yelp for suggestions and Moodles piqued our interest. It was short drive to the Brentwood Center shopping mall and was able to park in front. Arriving at 1:45pm on a Friday, there were a couple of tables of customers. Restaurant was modern, clean and bright. They had some TVs and had world cup soccer on. They had a specials board with nine items with three in Vietnamese. Checking out the menu, we had some questions. Our waitress couldn't answer some of our questions and she had another waitress come and she was answered our questions and described the special items. I went with caramelized pork belly with rice special. It came in a cute little black pot with a plate of rice and a salad. There were four large pieces of pork belly in sauce and they were tender and tasty. There was a boiled egg in the pot as well. Friend ordered the vermicelli bun with grilled pork and egg rolls. She was happy with the dish especially and appreciated the sliced grilled pork. If in the area, would stop here again if looking for Vietnamese cuisine. Good food and friendly and efficient service.
Discovered this place via Yelp as it was highly rated in the Brentwood area. Nice, clean joint with Asian themed decor. They have abundant parking right outside the restaurant. We arrived at about 2pm on a Sunday and got one of the few open tables. We were seated immediately and the staff brought us menus and water. Our group got the vegetable ramen, Thai fish fry, chicken ramen and the Vietnamese fish fry with garlic noodles and steamed veggies. We also shared the egg rolls. The portion size was generous and we mostly liked our entrees. The Thai fish curry had a sweet undertone which my friend didn't appreciate too much but liked the fish overall. I enjoyed the fish fry and the steamed veggies. The garlic noodles were delicious but a little greasy. Overall, would come here again if I was in the area and wanted Vietnamese.
5/5 stars for excellent quality delicious Vietnamese cuisine foods at this sit-down dining restaurant. This place is cleaned and served foods very fast. The food is made perfectly here. I had came here more than 12 times, and the food is consistently good here.
We recently found the hidden gem that is Moodles! The atmosphere in there is great! They have nice AC for those hot Brentwood days. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff are kind. There is a good amount of tables- even when it's a "full house," the noise level is good, and there's a good amount of space between tables. I did not test out the bathrooms... check back for that report later. ;) You stay as long as need and pay at the counter on your way out. I would call their menu "vast yet manageable." They bring the food out fast! And let me tell you, it is tasty food! The fried rice is very flavorful, and it has a slight crisp to it, which is surprisingly very nice!! We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. We are excited to try more from this restaurant! I recommend!
I'm new to the area (work related) so seeing what Brentwood has to offer and trying new food places I'm very excited for. Went to Moodles with coworkers for some Pho on a cold day. Menu items looked good and I was tempted to try some other things but I stuck with the Pho. I believe we all ordered the Eye Round Pho in either regular or large size. Two people also split the Shaken beef with garlic noodles. The broth was delicious by itself but I had to add in some classic favorites: chili oil, hoisin, bean sprouts, mint, jalapeño and lemon squeeze. I usually add two scoops of chili oil so I did the same. Man, their chili oil is spicier than other ones I have tried. Just a tip, add it slowly. I enjoy spice but two scoops was a little too much. We all left full and satisfied!
It's not often enough I find a place like this! It was on my radar to check out, but it was family that told me I had to go with them and try it! They already had their favorites! Each of their favorites were ordered and I suggested an item they hadn't tried. Without going into all of the details, I will just say that I was impressed with the freshness and quality of every dish! I don't doubt that all of the dishes will impress! The dish that I suggested was the Chinese Sausage Fried Rice. It is so good that we ordered a second. If you like Chinese Sausage Fried Rice, order this! Overall, a small friendly place! Had a great experience at Moodles Vietnamese Kitchen! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. Our favorite dish was definitely the salt and pepper shrimp. It was crispy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor from the garlic and fresh jalapeños. We seriously couldn't stop eating it! The pho had a rich, comforting broth with plenty of meat, and both the fresh and fried spring rolls were delicious. The roasted chicken with noodles was also cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive
We recently moved to Oakley and tried a few Pho places around. We found Moodles on Yelp and went to Brentwood to check them. It's just a few miles from our house so the drive was quick. Noodle is on Sand Creek Road. Parking is abundant and the place is spacious. They have a lot of tables and chairs and the place is clean. I ordered the Spicy Beef noodle with beef, pork, Vietnamese ham, and tendon. The service is fast. I had the order within 10 minutes. I ordered the regular size and it's just right. They serve a generous amount of beef. The rice noodle is soft. The soup is not too spicy. However, you can add slices of jalapeno to get more kick. I enjoyed this meal, and it will be my go-to pho soup from now on. They also serve rice plates and I will try them next time

Definitely worth a repeat! Located inside a strip mall around the corner from a Korean restaurant, there's ample parking in a semi busy area. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained with a simple physical menu (call me old fashion but it's something I prefer than a QR code) with lots of traditional Vietnamese options with a few Thai dishes. The grill pork spring rolls are some of the thicker ones I ate. The BBQ pork was savory and full of flavor with the peanut sauce with the right balance of spices. The Pho bowls are huge. I ordered a regular and it felt like a Pho of bottomless meat. The soup taste was very good and service here was excellent. read more

I also had a side order of seafood ragoon they are little fancy egg roll they were super crunchy, loved them. Saw the pictures and came here with my wife on a dinner date. The place is in a lot so it might seem inconspicuous but the inside is legit. Two TV's up with the playoffs on. Sat quickly and had water on the table quick. Funny as this may sound it's legit. The water came out in these nice steel cups with the small ice chips! It tasted delicious! I ordered the shaken beef garlic noodles, and my wife ordered the shrimp garlic noodles. They both were really flavorful. Like towards the end everything was cooked together at some point. We had a side of steamed veggies they literally were just that, no salt or anything else! But you gotta get the veggies in. My wife loved Moodles and said it was her new favorite spot! Needless to say we'll be back! read more
First time here and it was very good. My friend had went the day before and loved so we had to run it back. We order a lot more food but I forgot to take pics. Please go try and it's lots of parking available. Everyone was overly friendly and that was a win! Clean and spacious read more

moodles is one of the best spots for Pho in Oakley we came in on a Sunday night. it was a full house, but we had easy seating as it was only my sister and I. the menus are creative, with the little cow spots on the menu aesthetic, and the inside ambiance spectacular: xmas tree was up, lights were lit and the Thanksgiving Football Game was on for appetizers, we ordered fried egg rolls, for mains, we got our respective Pho; i got spicy beef. and we finished our meal with a Taro Tea! food was so delicious, staff was extremely attentive and checkout was easy fried egg rolls (9/10): 4 fried egg rolls, packed with meat and veggies, served with a sweet sauce on side spicy beef pho: (10/10): generous-served pho, served with beef, noodles and onions: not too spicy taro tea (9.5/10) creamy, delicious drink read more

I've been hearing about this place and decided to finally give it a try. Food was very good and authentic. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup and enjoyed every bit of it. This soup is my all time favorite and I have been eating it since I was a little kid. Flavor was there, spiciness was there, and broth is exactly how it should be. If you love eating spicy beef noodle soup, give it a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Moodles is a new Asian eatery in Brentwood that serves Vietnamese dishes. The ambiance is modern, simple and clean. The service was good. Our water cups did not go dry. Garlic noodles (shrimp, beef) - 5/5 The garlic noodles were savory and delicious. The garlic flavor of the noodles was just right - not over powering or lacking. The beef topping was flavorful and tender. The shrimp topping was also good. The shrunk was not over cooked, hard or tough. The shrimp was tender. Marinated pork Banh Mi - 4/5 The pork was tender and flavorful. It just needed more sauce. The bread was good - crispy and crunchy exterior, soft and pillowy interior. I would order it again, but ask for more sauce. Beef Garlic noodles and Shrimp Garlic Noodles- 5/5 The garlic noodles were excellent. The texture was just right - not too soft out mushy, or hard and dry. The garlic noodles had the perfect garlic flavor. The beef was tender, savory and flavorful. The shrimp was also tender, not over cooked. I highly recommend trying one of their garlic noodle dishes. Fried chicken- 5/5 Nice portions of drum stick and thighs (quarters). The meat was tender not dry. The shin was crispy and tasty. I would order again. Pad Thai - 4/5 The Pad Thai rice noodles were firm, a little sticky, but delicious. The flavor was good with the combination of chicken, shrimp and tofu. The bean sprouts gave a nice crunchy texture, and the scan led eggs added a nice comfort feeling. A selection worth trying. Moodles is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant that will thrive in Brentwood. I highly recommend giving Moodles a visit. read more

Unfortunately in 8 short months the place has taken a turn for the worse. Food lacked flavor, they were out of ingredients and when we inquired they told us they had run out since this morning but would get some tomorrow. That doesn't help my pho that you didn't warn me in advance wouldn't have any condiments to go inside it. Why not inform someone when they order an item that it wouldn't be served with the usual ingredients? Then I could have made an informed decision and ordered something else. Fried rice had rock hard rice in it. When I told my server she claimed they purposely made it this way. Not true because I've had it before and it was cooked perfectly. We will not be returning! read more
