I came out here and then questioned why I did... Some of the most overly seasoned, overwhelmingly flavored Ramen, with .....I guess not the best noodles...ya didn't like the noodles. The vegetables tempura were probably the highlight. But I just didn't like the entire dining in layout feeling like I was eating on the clock at SFO Airport. Gyoza was a bad call. Should of stuck to my gut feeling and went to the Yummy Cafe plaza...next time.

Ordered to go BBQ MIXED, the portions were big , it came with hot sauce, soy sauce and some other sauce , it came with 3 type of meats, macaroni salad, steamed vegetables & rice everything was good it taste good. Definitely would buy lunch from here again.

Stopped in to grab food for dinner after my nail appt. I ordered the BBQ Chicken & Katsu Chicken Combo and Fried Rice w/Shrimp to go. The Katsu Chicken was very good; crunchy on the outside & tender on the inside. The BBQ Chicken was tender, too. The Fried Rice w/Shrimp had great color and texture, but lacks flavor (I've had better elsewhere). The service was quick. It was only a 10 minute wait from ordering. The restaurant was clean. I'm giving them 4 Stars for the Katsu Chicken.

Service was good. Food was good. Portions were good. Ambiance was so-so. It was neat and clean, but a little too casual for a first date for example. The reason why I rated four stars instead of five is because of bowl in which the unagi rice bowl was presented in. Although we were dining in the unagi rice bowl was brought to our table in a plastic bowl along with a plastic spoon and a plastic fork. In contrast the rest of my group had their meal (chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken combo) served beautifully on a "real" plate with metal utensils. Also, the unagi rice bowl was tasty, but would've enjoyed some broccoli with it. Overall, very good and will be back.:)

When ever I'm craving a warm bowl of ramen this is my go to spot they also have really good BBQ plates the beef one is one of my favorites. Portions are huge so you can definitely share. This is the perfect spot for a warm meal on a cold winter day. The staff is always very nice and knowledgeable about menu items I've never had any issues with the service.

A great fast food ramen spot. You can place your order at the cashier so there's no server here (water and drinks are self served). Ramen 101 is full of choices on the menu such as BBQ meat plate. It felt like a fusion of ramen and Hawaiian BBQ. We ordered: Black Garlic Ramen Tonkotsu Ramen Kaki Fry (Oysters 6pcs) I really enjoyed the Black Garlic Ramen. The broth was amazing. Only con was the pork was little overcooked for my taste. My wife enjoyed the Tonkotsu Ramen, but she preferred the Black Garlic Ramen because of the broth and corn. Overall, cool staff and atmosphere.

I took my food to go & I gotta say. Flavor is on point. I ordered spicy and it's perfect spice. PS - for those wondering this is more of an American spice level & not traditional Asian spice level. Staff was very nice. I was welcomed in. It didn't take long to make my ramen. Parking is easy. Location - Best But parking lot next door to Habit & the Pet Food store. I put my car on the charger at the Target parking lot & walked across the street to the restaurant. I will return!

Our Insights: If you are feeling under the weather or just becoz its the season (Fall and winter is just in the corner) def Ramen 101 is for you. They have variety of ramen and you can customize the broth you wanted and the spice level. They also have some hawaiian combo that you can pick if you want just some rice and meat mix combo. We like ordering the spicy chicken ramen and the serving is really generous. The server/cashier knows well their menu and what they serve. They have a simple restaurant set up indoor. I just wish that they have their condiments set up back again at the tables like pre covid times.

Honestly, this place closes at a great time. They offer a small dining area but the Togo option is awesome. We ordered to go because we knew they were about to close in 30min. I ordered the black garlic ramen and hubby ordered miso. Both are so delicious. If you love garlic, the black garlic is full of flavor and their egg makes it delicious because it still has a yolk that is not over cooked. The appetizer options are great .. we also ordered deep fried oysters and we asked for a spicy mayo mix to go. The parking lot outside is big enough to be able to find a space. Other stores available within the plaza and perfect to walk around to target which is only across the next plaza. Service is on Point. Hubby wasn't decided but they are alway super helpful letting us know the flavors for which soups and also which one came with the creamy broth. I love Tonkotsu if you like the creamy. Hubby loves their miso and gets it mild. Some soups have a kick to it but you can request any heat level or no heat level so whichever is to your liking. Come support local. They are great and also offer Hawaiian food not just Ramen

We were all craving Ramen and went here since it was the closest Ramen location. We were the only customers for a late lunch until a couple walked in about 20 minutes later. Good ramen and good times!

The place was clean and had a steady flow of customers coming in and out, with a few dining in. We ordered ramen, a couple of side dishes, and drinks. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the black garlic ramen was--definitely a standout. I also got the grilled shrimp on the side, and my husband ordered the short rib--both were really tasty. The service was great as well. The server was quick to assist us, even though he seemed to be the only one working at the time. I also liked their menu board--it looked modern and well put together, not cheap at all. On top of that, the prices were very affordable for the amount and quality of food we got. If I had one critique, it would be that the place could use a bit of updating. Other than that, it's a solid spot, and we'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Our table ordered: a garlic edamame, spicy edamame, gyoza, shrimp tempura, a few Yakisobas, ribeye steak, bone in pork chop, and various raw sushi rolls. All the food was great tasting and fresh. Where I had to take stars away was for the wait time and service. I understand we had a large party so auto gratuity is included; however I felt like since the server knew this her service was not up to par. Our group consisted of 8 people. We arrived 5 to 10 minutes before opening and were second to be seated. About 6 to 7 other separate groups arrived after yet they all got their orders taken before us. The people in our group that didn't order sushi received their food long before the people who ordered sushi. By the time our sushi came, the others in the party were close to finishing their lunch, some even had their leftovers packed up...which we had to grab ourselves since server never checked on us. Sorry for lack of photos. I am new to this work group and didn't want to be that person to take photos of everyone's food.

The first thing my son said when he walked in was " Dad, I like interior design and feel of the place". The atmosphere and environment was cozy with a Japanese vibe. You can tell this is a mom and Pop family establishment. The lady that took our order is very nice and provided good service. This is the same lady working when I came here during my high school days in the 90's. My son ordered tonkatsu a deep fried pork fillet and I ordered a dish called Kinoko which is chicken and mushrooms in a sweet garlic sauce. Our entrees also came with house salad & miso soup. We also ordered California roll & tapi maki which is salmon. The owner lady frequently checked on us, polite, and always came back to fill our waters. My son especially likes the sushi bar because we can see the chef roll the sushis from all the fresh ingredients. He definitely has skills. The portion size was decent and the food quality and flavors made up for that. Absolute WIN coming here! We will definitely come back and hopefully be regulars. I highly recommend coming here with family and friends. Thanks

That's when I seen something off and opened the seaweed to see a molded avocado! Ugh, we drove back and the place was quiet with 2 customers dining. I didn't want to make a scene but the lady kept trying to gaslight me that it was okay and she couldn't refund our money. I had to raise my voice to explain that it's mold and I don't want it. I feel bad, because I really wanted to support this place…read more The shopping center where it is located is interesting; one side of it is ok, but the side where "Tokyo Ramen & BBQ" is seems to have it's own micro culture. The parking spots near this restaurant are usually half empty and there's typically at least one suspicious car sitting there with some odd-looking activity going on. Not the fault of "Tokyo Ramen & BBQ". I walked in, even though from the outside it looked closed. A woman followed me in (she seemed possibly homeless. Not judging, just painting a picture). When I walked in, none of the tables had ANYTHING on them. And it looked kind of like they were out of business. I saw no employees. I waited. Then, I saw a man appear from behind the counter (he had been bent over doing something and I didn't see him at first). I wanted to try the food, because the reviews seemed pretty good, but I was sensing that I might regret it if I got locked in to this situation... The lady asked, "Are you open?" And the man said, "Yes". I walked straight out and went to a different ramen place for lunch. So, I can't speak to the food quality. But the ambiance was dismal. And, though it's not their fault, the whole scenario of that side shopping center made me think that they won't be around long. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see myself going back...

I also chose pork belly as my choice of protein, and I thought the pork belly slices (chashu) was pretty good. Price was pretty standard for nowadays. The ambience of the restaurant was not the best. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was nice and clean, but there was a lot of restaurant-unrelated items that they attempted to hide but they ended up being not quite well hidden, so they were kind of distracting.
