Fried Rice
Lai W.

Stopped in to grab food for dinner after my nail appt. I ordered the BBQ Chicken & Katsu Chicken Combo and Fried Rice w/Shrimp to go. The Katsu Chicken was very good; crunchy on the outside & tender on the inside. The BBQ Chicken was tender, too. The Fried Rice w/Shrimp had great color and texture, but lacks flavor (I've had better elsewhere). The service was quick. It was only a 10 minute wait from ordering. The restaurant was clean. I'm giving them 4 Stars for the Katsu Chicken.

When ever I'm craving a warm bowl of ramen this is my go to spot they also have really good BBQ plates the beef one is one of my favorites. Portions are huge so you can definitely share. This is the perfect spot for a warm meal on a cold winter day. The staff is always very nice and knowledgeable about menu items I've never had any issues with the service.

Service was good. Food was good. Portions were good. Ambiance was so-so. It was neat and clean, but a little too casual for a first date for example. The reason why I rated four stars instead of five is because of bowl in which the unagi rice bowl was presented in. Although we were dining in the unagi rice bowl was brought to our table in a plastic bowl along with a plastic spoon and a plastic fork. In contrast the rest of my group had their meal (chicken katsu and teriyaki chicken combo) served beautifully on a "real" plate with metal utensils. Also, the unagi rice bowl was tasty, but would've enjoyed some broccoli with it. Overall, very good and will be back.:)

A great fast food ramen spot. You can place your order at the cashier so there's no server here (water and drinks are self served). Ramen 101 is full of choices on the menu such as BBQ meat plate. It felt like a fusion of ramen and Hawaiian BBQ. We ordered: Black Garlic Ramen Tonkotsu Ramen Kaki Fry (Oysters 6pcs) I really enjoyed the Black Garlic Ramen. The broth was amazing. Only con was the pork was little overcooked for my taste. My wife enjoyed the Tonkotsu Ramen, but she preferred the Black Garlic Ramen because of the broth and corn. Overall, cool staff and atmosphere.

Black Garlic Ramen - spicy

I took my food to go & I gotta say. Flavor is on point. I ordered spicy and it's perfect spice. PS - for those wondering this is more of an American spice level & not traditional Asian spice level. Staff was very nice. I was welcomed in. It didn't take long to make my ramen. Parking is easy. Location - Best But parking lot next door to Habit & the Pet Food store. I put my car on the charger at the Target parking lot & walked across the street to the restaurant. I will return!

Our Insights: If you are feeling under the weather or just becoz its the season (Fall and winter is just in the corner) def Ramen 101 is for you. They have variety of ramen and you can customize the broth you wanted and the spice level. They also have some hawaiian combo that you can pick if you want just some rice and meat mix combo. We like ordering the spicy chicken ramen and the serving is really generous. The server/cashier knows well their menu and what they serve. They have a simple restaurant set up indoor. I just wish that they have their condiments set up back again at the tables like pre covid times.

We were all craving Ramen and went here since it was the closest Ramen location. We were the only customers for a late lunch until a couple walked in about 20 minutes later. Good ramen and good times!

Honestly, this place closes at a great time. They offer a small dining area but the Togo option is awesome. We ordered to go because we knew they were about to close in 30min. I ordered the black garlic ramen and hubby ordered miso. Both are so delicious. If you love garlic, the black garlic is full of flavor and their egg makes it delicious because it still has a yolk that is not over cooked. The appetizer options are great .. we also ordered deep fried oysters and we asked for a spicy mayo mix to go. The parking lot outside is big enough to be able to find a space. Other stores available within the plaza and perfect to walk around to target which is only across the next plaza. Service is on Point. Hubby wasn't decided but they are alway super helpful letting us know the flavors for which soups and also which one came with the creamy broth. I love Tonkotsu if you like the creamy. Hubby loves their miso and gets it mild. Some soups have a kick to it but you can request any heat level or no heat level so whichever is to your liking. Come support local. They are great and also offer Hawaiian food not just Ramen

I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ chicken, and honestly, it made me feel like I was transported straight to Hawaii. The chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with that sweet and savory BBQ flavor that just hits the spot. Every bite was satisfying and comforting. The sides were just as enjoyable--the macaroni salad was creamy and well-balanced, and it paired perfectly with the meal. I also loved how the plate came with veggies and two generous scoops of rice, making it a complete and filling dish. The portion size was no joke either--it's definitely big enough to share, or you can save some for later like I did. The place itself was clean and had a nice, casual vibe, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic first visit, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu!

The place was clean and had a steady flow of customers coming in and out, with a few dining in. We ordered ramen, a couple of side dishes, and drinks. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the black garlic ramen was--definitely a standout. I also got the grilled shrimp on the side, and my husband ordered the short rib--both were really tasty. The service was great as well. The server was quick to assist us, even though he seemed to be the only one working at the time. I also liked their menu board--it looked modern and well put together, not cheap at all. On top of that, the prices were very affordable for the amount and quality of food we got. If I had one critique, it would be that the place could use a bit of updating. Other than that, it's a solid spot, and we'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

I like their California rolls and the black garlic ramen. My husband likes their steak with garlic noodles. This place is always a hit! Of the entire night only two couples (high school age) same as the host had reservations and were seated immediately. No check-in on the iPad no confirming the name. Find this hard to believe so I asked 3 different servers how to make reservations and they started, "unsure" "idk if we do reservations" "I'll have to ask" were the answers I got. Could be me but sounds like the host kid is lying. Service started off strong. We sat and within 5 minutes the server came by to take our drink order at which time we also placed our food order. Drinks took 10mins, food took over an hour. We placed drink and food at 4:44 and food came out and hit our table at 5:51 Anyway I'll never be back and this was my 3rd time here. With each visit the experience got worse.

I am a huge fan of their sushi pizza which is a mix of spicy tuna and crabmeat topped with this crispy tempura nori and drizzled with this sweet and spicy sauce. Each bite is crispy and full of tuna flavor. I've had a lot of different sushi rolls in my life and this one in particular is different and special. I never had anything like it. I also love their Caterpillar roll; eel with avo. This roll is common, but they make it really good here. Another interesting and delicious roll is the Mango Crunch; Spicy tuna, salmon, and fresh mango slices with unagi sauce. This roll is sweet and savory, all in one. The sushi chef really takes his time crafting each roll. Our order does take time because everything is made fresh and from scratch. We love Neko Sushi and we'll definitely be coming back again for more.

I moved to the valley about 8 years ago and still haven't found a good sushi place. A few weeks…read moreago I was doing errands in Brentwood with no kids. My husband and I were hungry and honestly, just picked the first sushi spot that came up for us that was the closest. We have been so accustomed to mediocre sushi that we stopped being picky. We were just happy to eat sushi (our kids hate it). We showed up during lunch time the first time. We took advantage of their lunch menu. I ordered the sushi lunch special which came with 5 pieces of sushi and 1 California roll. My husband ordered the 2 piece Bento box: salmon teriyaki and California roll. We decided to also order a scallop shooter and a almon belly nigiri, along with the 49er roll When the plates arrived, I was immediately impressed by how thick the fish was. Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Mackerel, Albacore were the 5 pieces assorted to me. All were amazingly fresh and delicious. I also enjoyed the California roll. It was just the perfect amount of mayo and crab. The scallop shooter was such a nice surprise. In addition to the many pieces of scallop in there, it had masago, a quail egg floater, AND uni! For $10 each, I would say that it was well worth it. It definitely is a mouthful, but delicious. As for the salmon belly, what a treat! You can taste how fresh and fatty it is. I honestly dream about it. They put fresh wasabi on top and they sear the top juuuuust slightly, enough to give a little smoke taste. If I could, I'd probably order 10. I do feel that $12 for 2 pieces is also fair, especially for the quality. My husband also enjoyed his teriyaki salmon, he mentioned it could've been a bit bigger, but the flavor was good. The roll was also delicious. Perfect ratio of fish, rice, & toppings. We came back a 2nd time because I could not stop thinking about it. We decided to come for dinner and we splurged. We had faith and decided to try many items on their special's list for the day. We ordered salmon belly, hamachi belly, omakase, scallop shooter, ankimo, & salmon/tuna tartare. Lucky for us, the omakase which is 9 pieces also included some additional specials like the O-toro & albacore belly. Looking back, I think ordering the omakase as a personal item vs sharing would've been a better idea. Especially if you want to try all the specials, the price is roughly the same cost. We enjoyed every piece, so getting duplicates of items was more than welcomed. I would say that the salmon belly is a must, along with the ankimo (monk fish liver), and the hamachi belly. Take my advice, order the omakase for yourself. Try all the different nigiri and savor each bite. This place is about 25 mins from us, but it's definitely worth the drive! Annnnd I'm a cat lover, I love the simple decor and the cat themed portraits.

I feel bad, because I really wanted to support this place…read more The shopping center where it is located is interesting; one side of it is ok, but the side where "Tokyo Ramen & BBQ" is seems to have it's own micro culture. The parking spots near this restaurant are usually half empty and there's typically at least one suspicious car sitting there with some odd-looking activity going on. Not the fault of "Tokyo Ramen & BBQ". I walked in, even though from the outside it looked closed. A woman followed me in (she seemed possibly homeless. Not judging, just painting a picture). When I walked in, none of the tables had ANYTHING on them. And it looked kind of like they were out of business. I saw no employees. I waited. Then, I saw a man appear from behind the counter (he had been bent over doing something and I didn't see him at first). I wanted to try the food, because the reviews seemed pretty good, but I was sensing that I might regret it if I got locked in to this situation... The lady asked, "Are you open?" And the man said, "Yes". I walked straight out and went to a different ramen place for lunch. So, I can't speak to the food quality. But the ambiance was dismal. And, though it's not their fault, the whole scenario of that side shopping center made me think that they won't be around long. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see myself going back...

I think if they had used fresh (raw) garlic, the whole dish could've been much more elevated. But, with that said, I thought that the flavor was just okay. The broth could've been creamier, in my opinion. But the portion was pretty good and generous. I also chose pork belly as my choice of protein, and I thought the pork belly slices (chashu) was pretty good. Price was pretty standard for nowadays. The ambience of the restaurant was not the best. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was nice and clean, but there was a lot of restaurant-unrelated items that they attempted to hide but they ended up being not quite well hidden, so they were kind of distracting. But the service was nice.
