Came here on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and the place has a cozy vibe inside. There is a couch, tables with some games and various other seating. We both enjoyed the banh mi. My daughter liked the mango slush, although it was very sweet. Next time I'll ask if they can adjust sweetness. The chocolate Oreo smoothie was also good. They offer different toppings etc, which is nice. We will definitely be back.

Maybe I came on an off-day but Tea Spot was not great. The milk tea did not have a strong enough tea flavor, it was overly sweet and the boba itself was hard and not cooked well. I'm glad others like it though. I feel like there's much better boba places.

Great milk tea and bahn mi sandwich. Was able to sit plug in my laptop and get some work done also.

Tea Spot is a Vietnamese drink and small meals cafe in Brentwood . The ambiance is simple, clean, and a little cluttered with two large sofas that is probably used for special events. There are two fairly large tables that are accessible. We ordered two drinks and two Bahn Mi sandwiches. Passion Fruit Smoothie with honey boba - 5/5 If there was a higher rating, it would have received it. This drink was very delicious, refreshing and flavor of passion fruit spot on. You cannot order the percentage of sweetness with this drink, but the sweetness was perfect. Definitely a winner! Passion fruit smoothie - 5/5 No boba in this drink but results and review is the same as above. Excellent drink with the spot on flavor of passion fruit. Definitely will order again. Brown Sugar iced coconut Milk w/ mango boba - 5/5 The flavor was perfect. Excellent drink. Honey boba needed to be made (takes about 10-15 mins), so sub with mango popping boba. The mango popping boba was delicious, but the honey boba wolves matched better. Pork Loin (Roast Pork) Bahn Mi sandwich - 5/5 Excellent sandwich. The bread was very delicious. The crunch was perfect and the pork loin and veggie condiments completed the overall flavor just right. I would order this sandwich again. Honey BBQ Pork (Char SIU Pork) sandwich 5/5 The char sui made this sandwich pop. The veggie condiments, sauce, along with the delicious bread makes this sandwich excellent. It's great to know that there is a very good Vietnamese bahn mi sandwich cafe that also serves excellent drinks in Brentwood. I highly recommend visiting Tea Spot for a refreshing drink and a sandwich.

Favorite boba spot in the area. Come here at least monthly, and consistently great milk tea, creamy, various flavors. The boba is always perfect texture and flavor, generous amount. The owner is always pleasant and even made me taro milk tea that wasn't on the menu.

GOOOD GOLLY !! WET, SLIMMY, CHEWY BLACK little balls!! SO ADDICTIVE your choice SWALLOW or CHEW !! ************************************************************************************** Yummm, Thai ice tea with boba with a hint of brown sugar. It took me some time to like boba I just couldn't get use to the texture of having balls in my mouth. NOW it's one of my favorite things. The size of the drink blew me away not all milk tea spots offer size extra large. I got lucky ... seek and you shall find. TEA SPOT has so many flavors, types of drinks and some food items. If ya'll never tried black balls in your mouth but always wanted to know what it's like, TRY IT !! Don't worry if you don't like swallowing you can chew them. Oh, don't worry about choking either because you suck them thru a wide straw. Its fun, cool and addictive I'm a loyal fan of sucking down balls. by balls I do mean : BOBA, pearls, tapioca, bubble tea

Delicious milk tea!! This place has always been my go-to for a pick me up since Covid, and it never disappoints my cravings!

If your looking for a Jasmine green tea that is full of bold flavors this place has it. I ordered 30% sweet and light ice with boba and it was perfect the tea was not to strong nor weak and the boba was real fresh. It is located next to in shape gym and there is plenty of parking . Everyone there is real friendly and nice. The ambiance was cute and well lit. I will be back to try out other flavors.

    Winnie the Pooh
    Erica S.

My husband picked up much needed drinks on a hot day. We both ordered the Winnie the Pooh but mine was subbed with boba instead of lychee jelly. The drinks were not too sweet and the boba was soft and fresh. The menu has a variety of drinks that includes many fruity flavors that I would like to try. They also have bahn mi sandwiches and snacks like popcorn chicken. We were a bit disappointed with the popcorn chicken as they reminded us of nuggets and not popcorn style. We forgot to take a pic of this but we would pass on it for the future. There are plenty more refreshing drinks to try when I come back!

They also had the World Cup on several TVs, so if you're trying to eat without missing the game, they've got you covered. I ordered the shaken beef with yellow rice, and it was the star of the meal. The beef was incredibly tender, packed with flavor, and the yellow rice was delicious too. Overall, a solid spot with good food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! It was short drive to the Brentwood Center shopping mall and was able to park in front. Arriving at 1:45pm on a Friday, there were a couple of tables of customers. Restaurant was modern, clean and bright. They had some TVs and had world cup soccer on. They had a specials board with nine items with three in Vietnamese. Checking out the menu, we had some questions. Our waitress couldn't answer some of our questions and she had another waitress come and she was answered our questions and described the special items. I went with caramelized pork belly with rice special. It came in a cute little black pot with a plate of rice and a salad. There were four large pieces of pork belly in sauce and they were tender and tasty. There was a boiled egg in the pot as well. Friend ordered the vermicelli bun with grilled pork and egg rolls. She was happy with the dish especially and appreciated the sliced grilled pork. If in the area, would stop here again if looking for Vietnamese cuisine. Good food and friendly and efficient service.

We were in the area last month and I really wanted pho, especially since it was a chilly and stormy day. Golden Gate Pho came well recommended, so it was a no brainer for us to try their food. It was a quiet day, but service was friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately. There were only a few others dining in, so it was pretty peaceful. The restaurant was clean, with ample seating. We got to sit at a comfy booth this time, but there were also regular chairs and tables for larger groups. I went with the #60 pho, which comes only in the large size. My husband went with one of his favorite Vietnamese dishes, the beef stew with bread. We didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive. The baguette that came with the beef stew was a really nice size. It was toasted and crunchy on the outside while pillowy on the inside. I tried a bit of the beef stew itself and it was tender and seasoned well, with a rich broth. My pho was so good. I loved that it was served with the rare steak on top for me to cook at the table. The herbs were fresh and the meat was tender. There was a good amount of meat as well, and the broth was flavorful without being heavy or oily. The noodles were perfectly cooked. This was definitely one of the best bowls of pho I've had besides at my usual spots in Sacramento. While we don't go to this area often, I would really love to return whenever we next pass through. Nothing beats a solid, comforting bowl of pho, and Golden Gate Pho fits the bill.

The ONLY drawback that held me from giving Banh Mi Express a 5 star was the portion to price ratio. As stated earlier, I ordered a large, in which was a typical "meal prep" container. If that was the large, it made me think how small the regular size was. And to think it was basically $20 for a bowl -- thankfully it was delicious! Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I ordered a roll for my daughter with no avocado and added cucumber. When we got home, the roll only had crab inside. There was no cucumber at all. I called and simply asked for a refund, but I was told the chef insisted the cucumber was in the roll, so they refused. Instead, they told me to drive back so they could remake it. After driving another 20 minutes back (40 minutes of driving total), the employee inspected the roll herself and immediately saw that there was, in fact, no cucumber. So the issue I reported from the beginning was real. What disappointed me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was being treated like my word wasn't trustworthy after years of supporting this business. Rather than believing a loyal customer or offering a simple refund, I had to waste my time and gas proving that the order was incorrect. It makes me wonder if one roll was really worth losing a long-time customer. Customer service is about how you handle mistakes, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling undervalued. I hope management reconsiders how situations like this are handled in the future.
