We've been here twice before tonight. The service was ok and food was decent for the price during those visits. This latest experience was not great. We came on a "Taco Tuesday" which also happened to be karaoke night. It was reasonably busy (7-10 tables seated, with at least one being a larger party of around 8 people) but there were at least 3 servers that we saw, along with 2 bartenders. Once we were seated, our server came and took the drink order. The drinks came quickly and she asked if we needed more time to review the menu, we said yes. At that point, we were left there for 20 minutes with no follow up to take our food order. We saw our server and the others bring single plates of food back and forth several times to other tables. 2 servers (one of which was ours) walked right by our table which still had menus to indicate hadn't ordered, but didn't acknowledge us. We then saw our server stand in the doorway between indoor/outdoor seating and survey the dining area for a minute. Still, she didn't come back to our table and walked back inside. We got tired of waiting and went to the bar to pay for the drinks we received. While paying/explaining to the bartender why we were leaving, our server came up and asked if we were ready to order as if there were no issue. We explained we were leaving after waiting for so long, which she blankly apologized for and quickly walked away. The place is cool and I can see why it's popular, but it seems hit or miss when it comes to service and organization. read more

The best part was they were crunchy and tasteful and we didn't have to ask for them to be well done. They have a great space in the back to host private parties as well. Got a burger special and besides taking 20 mins to take our order it took 20 more to get the food and when we got the food I swore on my life it was a costco frozen patty looked thrown together and was pretty not that good.. might have been the night we went but I dont think we will be back after that. Not my cup of tea but definitely could be yours! Taco Tuesday was hoppin - even as early as 5:30. Parking was available but be prepared to maneuver, as some of it is choose your own adventure. The karaoke outside had already begun. We were seated outside, which was really quite comfortable in the shade - even on a hot day. The grounds are massive, so much room outside for corn hole, chatting, eating, dancing, etc. Service & food are where I struggled with this one. Our server was very nice, he just seemed overwhelmed with the number of tables he was trying to cover. We never got refills on our water. Getting another drink after the 1st took so long. Our food was served without napkins or utensils. I had to go in & grab them myself. The prices on Tuesday night are pretty incredible - $2 tacos & $4 margaritas. Unfortunately, I can't do tequila but my friends really enjoyed the margaritas. 5 stars for that. My tacos were cold, bland & fell apart instantly. The green salsa is very tasty. We asked for more of that & it arrived about a half hour later. My friend barely touched her rice & beans. The chips were ok, bordering on stale & very greasy. The karaoke is great people watching. We would have stayed longer but anticipated it taking way too long to get served anything else. There sure seemed to be a party going on behind the counter & inside though. Amazing place to go to after a day of picking cherries and strawberries with friends and family. Love the service and atmosphere of the place. We had a party of 9 and it was easily accommodated. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all amazing. The chicken wings and onion rings were the number 1 items everyone loved the most. All the dishes were great though. We loved the patio it was perfect for kids that don't sit still. I feel like you go at the right time when people aren't judging you for that you have got it made. Because the patio is completely enclosed which you don't find very often and something some of us moms search out just based on patios for kids to kind of let loose since not all kids are tablet kids and not all kids can sit for 1-2 hours at a table. My husband and i ordered the wings and the fish and chips for our son. The wings were phenomenal. The Asian wing flavor was just okay but the garlic wings were terrific. Service was great for our huge party. Was just kind of bummed they tossed our remainder of our wings since my kids were running outside so i couldn't sit next to them the entire time so that's my fault. Excellent atmosphere, service, and most importantly the food. We both ordered a ribeye steak with baked potatoes. You start out with a nice salad of lettuce, sunflower seeds, croutons, and craisins. We both had the bleu cheese dressing, which was really good. Our meal was comprised of the perfectly cooked-to-order steak, baked potato with sour cream and chives, and butter on the side. We also got a soft dinner roll along side the grilled vegetables. Service was on point. We ate outside and enjoyed a warm spring night. Great little spot in Byron! Driving by I would think this place was just a local bar....but there is some good food inside. The vibes of this place gives off a small hometown vibes. The night my parents and I went, it seemed like everyone knew everyone. Service was great and they all worked as a team to help and check in on the tables. Parents ordered the tenderloin steak special and I got the 10 oz prime rib. Flavorful steaks! It did get quite loud while we were there so if you're looking for a place that's a calmer vibe where you can have a conversation, might not be the best place. You go here for very specific reasons! Great bar food, solid drinks, fun servers and community. It is not a fancy restaurant (and it doesn't pretend to be one). Sit at the bar and make friends. This place is a super casual diner with a large outside area that used to be "the" place to hang out after a day on the water. That has changed a lot since Covid and new ownership. Probably would still be great after a day on the water. If you are looking for come as you are, ordinary food for a decent price with good size portions, then this is your place. The three in our party were in the mood for steaks. The guys got ribeyes and I got the prime rib. It was very frustrating as at least a third of my prime rib was fat. Not only that, but one end was cut super thin. I've never had a prime rib that was half an inch on one side and then barely a quarter of an inch on the other side and then all that fat. The quality was also average. The waiter was really good though. I didn't want to say anything, but my guy didn't feel that it was right so he mentioned the amount of fat. The waiter went back and spoke to the cook who didn't want to give me any extra, but the waiter did agree that there was a lot of fat so they did bring me extra, so they make it right in that aspect. The guys thought their steaks were average but loved their garlic mashed potatoes and I loved the veggies - it was a great combo of veggies and quite flavorful. We all agreed that the food was just average and probably wouldn't be a place we would return to; at least, not for steaks. This is a local restaurant that is quaint but not fancy. The food beat my expectations by a mile. The outdoor space is fun and looks like a great place to be in the spring and summer. This is what we had for $36 before tip: - Tenderloin steak dinner: potato choice, veggies, salad, roll and dessert $14 (price good until 3/31/25) - crab cakes - nachos with chicken The steak was very tender and flavorful. The veggies used are my hubbies fav, the roll was a kings Hawaiian roll, and the potato, well was a potato. The dessert was a mini chocolate cheesecake. Everything on this was very good. This isn't a fancy steakhouse so don't expect that, but you will have a very nice dinner without breaking the bank. The crab cakes had zero fillers. No corn. No peppers and only enough bread to bind it together. The crab used wasn't lump crab, but for the $10 price tag, I didn't expect it to be. Only suggestions I have is to not serve with a honey mustard. Instead make a chive mayo (just add chives to mayo) or use a cocktail sauce. A simple aioli would also work. Definitely the best ones in the area and I will order them again. The nachos were good nachos. Nice cheese sauce, generous on the guacamole and sour cream. The chicken could have been warmed up a bit more, but it was so tender. If heated too much it would get dry, so I would prefer it cooler to hot to retain moisture. For $10 it was a good bargain, filling and really tasty. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. Please please please visit this place. With the prior owner/operators of this location, it used to be a biker/dive bar and had a bad reputation. Please don't use that misconception to prevent you from going here. I was a little hesitant at first. But there was zero sign that this place is or will become that again. So, if you want a good value delicious dinner, try out Byron Roadhouse. They paid the deposit amount and then after the show it was a "checks in the mail"excuse. Contacted several people plus the booker and just got the run around. They had no problem posting a bunch of pictures and thanking everyone who came out on their fb page but when time came to pay up...Crickets. It's now been months.Also the sound and production was very amateur. I advise you to take your talent somewhere else where you will be better compensated and appreciated. There is no better place to stop for a quick lunch than Byron Roadhouse. Raf' is a great server and he's gotten to know what I like and pretty much asks which lunch I want when I walk in. I bounce between the BLT or the Tuna Melt. The food is hot and comes out super fast. I've never had a bad lunch or left feeling some sort of way other than satisfied. First off I seen a lot wrong with the place from one guy taking out trash with both hands then comes back behind bar did not wash his hands and served drinks, that's gross. Now to the food it was not great reminds me of hospital food. The chicken parm is grilled and has no breadcrumbs that's new. The sauce taste like someone dropped pizza sauce on top of the chicken with a mix of cheese. To top it off it was 80degrees in the place. Will not be back. I get everyone taste is different but this is cheap bar food at best. Should have just been a bar with food that would make more sense than a roadhouse. read more

It's of a busy highway. They were friendly and inviting. They have outdoor or indoor seating. They gave a large outside space that can be rented for parties. It's a comfortable cafe/bar type family-friendly place. The bloody Mary was great, actually perfect. I like spicey. I had the seafood platter and coleslaw. The seafood platter was enjoyable. The shrimp cocktail fried shrimp and clam sticks were my favorite. The oyster was okay, which would be better for me without bbq sauce drizzle. The crab cake was a no for me. The Roadhouse is definitely a Jekyll and Hyde place to eat. When we ate there the first time the food and service were great. When we went again it was terrible! I asked our waiter for the special listed on the website, he looked at me and asked "we have a website?". He told me he would check. He came back and told me "they didn't prepare that today". I ordered a hamburger with "crispy" fries. The lower half of the bun had been drowned in "special sauce" to the point it where it looked and felt like a overly wet sponge, the patty tasted like leather and the fries were mush.
