I had driven past Little J's for a number of years and decided to order through Door Dash. The fish and shrimp were cooked very well but I'm sure that the dish would have been first class if I had eaten it in the shop. My daughter thought that the french fries were exceptional and they maintained their crispiness despite delivery. We all agreed that we would try Little J's again. Always been wanting to try this spot since it's next door to my daughter's dance practice. We've always got their cheese fries and add bacon for a quick snack. Fyi - the large is a huge portion so suggest just getting a small unless you're sharing. However, one night we decided to order their tri-tip sandwich and tri-tip dinner. I was a bit hesitant as I read the reviews and many said that the tri tip was dry and/or salty. But decided to give this place a try and find out for myself. Unfortunately, the tri tip was way too salty. My husband and I split it and we couldn't really eat it between us since it was so salty. Granted it was big portions, it just lacked in flavor. The only thing I liked about it was the mushrooms and onions. Also, the hush puppies were too hard and lacked flavor as well. I really wanted to like this place but figured I'll just stick to the cheese fries. Maybe I might give it another try and test out their burgers. read more

Burger was so flavorful and the fry's were great as well. The basket came with fry sauce which was super good. They were barbecuing tri tip out front so that will be a must try next time. Very clean and friendly! Will be back! Even the sodas were displayed well! read more

So it was a little busy for a Monday but didn't take to long , I went with the tri- tip sandwich and added Swiss cheese , and Garlic fries. The sandwich was put together beautifully the roll was soft but not soggy the tri-tip was tender and juice tho it lacked flavor after adding some hot honey bbq it was amazing tho . Prices inflated, portions deflated....the four for 20 special has sky rocketed to 32$.......the rolls they use now are about half the size of the ones they use to use, my chicken sandwich had two small grilled chicken tenders not even a breast. We've driven by this place many times and have always mentioned wanting to try it out. We were coming home to Concord from Antioch and was about to pass Little Js, so we finally stopped. We had a hankering for burgers, more so from a mom n pop joint. We were greeted right away by the sweetest lady at the counter! We looked over the menu and ordered some burgers, fries and canned sodas. The entire interaction was so friendly and pleasant. We opted to eat inside and waited patiently for our food. The inside was very clean and colorful, several tables to choose from . Lots of neat vintage advertisements and photos from the area hung on the walls, tv on with a game show playing. Food came out fresh and hot, same excellent friendly service from the lady. Even brought to our table. Burgers were bomb! It was a great experience. We mentioned to ourselves a few times after we left about how excellent the service and food was. The lady really went the extra mile to care about customers and made us feel so appreciated! Stopped in here before a rock concert and had a burger so huge I couldn't begin to eat half of it. My musts for a good burger are good size of meat cooked to my liking. A juicy burger with some flavor. A bun that'll stand up to the carnage I'm about to rain down and good serving size. This place met all of the above. Little J"s is a small little diner in the Pittsburg area. Very nice in the inside I wish I could say the same for the burgers. I've heard very good things about there burgers but when they came out I was a bit disappointed. Yes it tasted okay it just wasn't anything special for the price we payed for 3 burgers and fries. I just thought the burgers would be more juicy a little more seasoned and would have more veggies on the top it just wasn't worth the price for me and burgers are one of my favorites. All I tasted was freezer food. Nothing special or authentic. Someone said try the tri tip and my dude did and was like "this is dry and over cooked". I haven't returned. 5 stars does not do this place justice!! Best Tri tip sandwich I've had in a long time!!! Most places claim to have " The Best" and it's usually not that great! The bread was perfect for a sourdough roll sometimes they are too hard and you're fighting with the bread to take a bite or chew. Perfect ratio of meat to vegetables, absolutely perfect!! Not to mention how freaking tender the meat is!! I ate it before I could even get a picture! Customer service is absolutely amazing as well the lady working the register was so nice! We got a big "hello welcome in how's your day? " greeting which most places lack most days. Boyfriend had the Cajun chicken sandwich and he loves it. I ordered a burger from here I read the review that it was really really good. When I got to work to enjoy it I opened it and the meat looked like a perfect circle like something you would buy at a store. The meat was not fresh ground beef at all it tasted really bad I almost threw up. So I would not be ordering burgers from here again but the tri tip so far is really good. Next to the 7eleven on Loveridge so it's super close to home for us. They never miss! Whenever I'm craving a bombass sandwich we hit up this place w no hesitation. I've had their fish sandwich and that was yummy but my absolute go-to is their tri-tip sandwich w fries (AND RANCH) it's soooo good! The meat is always nice n tender, and the sauce to bread ratios are 10/10. The staff is always cool too, I love living close by - We're possibly moving in a few months so I'll definitely miss this place if we do. read more

Hidden gem alert! I love treating myself to little J's, the food is always super fresh! I love the roll the Cajun chicken sandwich comes on. It's very fluffy yet holds its structure and doesn't get soggy or fall apart. The fries and ranch are also bomb. My friend ordered the shrimp plate and it came with hush puppies that were also really good. Never not happy when I come here.
