If I could give this place a lower rating, I would. I brought my car in for a diagnostic, and when they identified the issue, they admitted they only performed what they called a "temporary fix" instead of actually repairing it. They told me they didn't have the necessary part, and that their quick fix would only last a day or two. When I asked about the cost for what they did, I was told I wouldn't be charged. Instead, they recommended I order the part through them and leave a $140 deposit so I wouldn't have to pay later when it arrived. A week went by with no update. I called on the 7th day and was told they would follow up the next day--they never did. After more than a month with no communication, I went back to request my deposit. At that point, the owner tried to argue that the $140 was actually a labor charge, not a deposit. This directly contradicts what I was told initially. I showed him the receipt/contract they provided, which clearly does not state that deposits are non-refundable. Instead of addressing this, he became rude and dismissive, even claiming he couldn't understand me when I pointed out the discrepancy. I had to go back to his shop multiple times to fix something from the initial install and after paying for additional parts and labor, the same issues persist so I decided to just live with it until I can go somewhere else and upgrade the stereo. I saw him accusing customers that they didn't want to pay or that they were cheap but he was not clear on why the stated costs for installation keeps increasing. Since my car is 14 years old, I tried to save a few bucks by having my car stereo and backup camera installed by this guy on Nextdoor. He couldn't get the backup camera to work, so I took it to Panchocruise Tunes in Vallejo. Despite the fact that he was very busy yesterday with many cars, he accommodated me as best he could and diagnosed the problem which turned out that the guy I hired had messed up the installation. Pancho could have been bitter that I took it to someone else first and I was now asking him to clean up someone else's mess. Instead, he assured me that he wanted to take care of me, but he didn't have the capacity to complete it yesterday afternoon, because the job was bigger than I naively described. He told me to come back at 8:30 this morning when he arrives and he would take care of me. I did and everything is working great and he was very fair in what he charged me. Lesson learned. I am writing this review on behalf of my girlfriend regarding her recent experience getting her Ignition Interlock Device (IID) calibrated at Panchocisco. The level of unprofessionalism, lack of customer service, and outright discriminatory behavior she experienced was shocking and unacceptable. The Calibration Nightmare My girlfriend needed her IID calibrated. The device was due, meaning her car wouldn't start. She called the mechanic's number--the only number listed on Yelp and the one he had given her--9 times over a period of time. He never answered. Because the car wouldn't start, she was forced to call a tow truck to bring the vehicle to the shop, incurring a completely unnecessary expense. The Unprofessional & Dismissive Encounter Ignored Upon Arrival: When the tow truck dropped off the car, the mechanic was sitting there texting on his phone. He didn't even look up or acknowledge her presence properly, only grunting, "I help you in a minute." The Unanswered Calls: When he finally engaged, she noticed his phone was sitting right there in his shirt pocket. She mentioned calling 9 times, and he defensively claimed he had "two numbers." Even if he did, the number she called was the public one he clearly had on him. When she pointed out that if he had just answered the phone, he could have told her she only needed to bring the device in, saving her a costly tow, he was dismissive. Personal Excuses Over Professionalism: His excuse for the negligence? "I have a lot going on," referring to his personal life, not his work. We all have personal lives, but that is no excuse for ignoring a paying customer's 9 urgent calls, especially when her safety and transportation were at stake. Shady Online Presence: Be warned: Panchocisco's Yelp photo is of a house, not the shop, forcing you to scroll through images to even confirm it's a legitimate business location. The Unmistakable Pattern of Discrimination It is critical to note a disturbing pattern: When my girlfriend was originally there for the installation, she was accompanied by a male family member, and the service was good. This time, she was alone. The mechanic was completely unhelpful, wouldn't listen to her, and seemed determined to give her the run-around. It wasn't until she called her male family member to come to the shop that the mechanic's attitude instantly changed. Suddenly, he was willing to listen, provide information, and attempt to resolve the issue. This is textbook bias and unacceptable behavior. Final Outcome & Warning Not only was the service horrible, but her car had to be towed back home because the IID ultimately killed her alternator. If you are a Black person, a woman, or especially a Black woman without a man present, please be aware of this shop. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. YOU WILL BE SORRY. I took my truck in for a radio install. That was good. Good price, and fast. Then I made a mistake. I decided to have them do some more work. All I wanted was a Bluetooth kit and audio accessory wire for my iPod. I asked if I could see where they were going to stick the button and mike. I was rudely told "no, you cannot watch!" I said I didn't want to watch. I just wanted to know where the stuff was going to go. He said don't worry we'll let you choose where it goes. Then I show up and everything's already in place and he said they work too fast. Then I take it out and I find out that the iPod will not play at any loud volume at all. It did not work with the system. I told him to take it out and just give me the money back for the system and I'll pay for the labor and take a loss on it. He told me that he was not a corporation he was not ikea. And then he gives no money back at any time. When I tell him how it doesn't work properly he tells me that I don't know how to use it. He was also very rude and hostile to me the entire time. He's very hostile. If you look at the signs all around the shop you will see that he is ready for a fight with every customer. The place is a dark black cave. His workers don't speak english. He is rude and hostile. He's weird because when you're dealing with him he automatically assumes that you don't have any money. The first thing he said to me was "well you don't want to spend any money." and I said I never said that. Like an idiot I was ready to give him whatever he wanted. I just wanted a really cool setup. But instead I got some cheap garbage. Even the phone part of the Bluetooth didn't work. You had to turn the phone way down low or else it was all distorted. But he will tell you that he's been in business 18 years and he knows everything. Until you go to a real shop you will see how bad this place is. I gladly had another shop remove everything that he did. I lost $350 burned up just like that. But it's a lesson learned. I went there on a holiday because no one else was open and it was a big mistake. Don't make the same mistake. There's a great shop in San Leandro on lewelling Blvd that is incredibly professional. And everything they did is awesome I love it. And it was the same price. Stay away from poncho unless you want to be extremely frustrated and be treated like some kind of a fly that needs to be brushed away. Avoid at all cost! First day, I called to have some fog lights installed on my car. I called Panchocisco and he told me he had time to do it that day and to bring it in. After arriving, he tells me he is actually busy and unable to...so we set up another day for me to bring my car in. Few days later I bring my car in again. The owner told me it wouldn't take too long. 8 hours later they were still not done (they tried to insert the bulbs and housing without taking the tires or bumper off). He then tells me I need needs to lift my car up using a car lift and that I will need to come back another day as it is now closing time (I need my car for work so I am unable to leave it there). Couple days later Pancho tells me to come in and that this was the only time he could work on my car, so I leave work early to bring my car in. He then tells me he forgets the car lift was in use at the moments. There was a van on top of the car lift, how do you not see or forget about that... anyways, huge waste of time. 4th try: Pancho calls me to bring my car in again and it took him 5 hours to finish. Lights are working, but he drilled a hole 2-2.5 inches in diameter below my steering wheel without telling me or asking me???? Who does he think he is? Lights are working so I just want to go home. Next day I noticed the lights were not properly installed, and the box that contained my bulbs now has 6 screws left in the box, he only used 4 (2 each side) screws to install my light mount..but apparently this "isn't his problem." So I decided to learned how to take apart my bumper and properly screw everything into place. All in all, it was much quicker to learn the process myself and would have saved me time, stress, and money if I had just done this from the beginning. I am by no means a car expert, but did it with much less time (4 hours to read and perform the set up) and effort compared to Pancho. I did not need a car lift and did it right in front of my house. Pancho is a huge waste of time who takes but does not know what he is doing. The experience here was horrible. I would greatly advise to stay away and look into all the other auto shops in the area, lots of good places in Vallejo and nearby cities. Side note, this will most likely get taken down. Many many people have reported Pancho removing their 1 star reviews because he does not agree or appreciate the honest reviews. He needs to wake up and use these reviews as a lesson to improve. read more

Lesson learned if they don't have a shop or the price is to low, go find a shop. So that is exactly what I did, on my way home I stopped by Ponchocisco shop located at Tennessee and Sonoma Blvd. When I arrived I was greeted by the store owner, after explaining what I needed done he scheduled me for a same day installation. The installers did a thorough vehicle check before starting the work which was more than what most shops do and was another reason to feel confident that they would do an exceptional job. During my wait I had good conversation with a friend of the shop owner, needless to say time flew by and before I knew it I was sitting in my vehicle listening to the new component system. I started out just getting a new radio but after seeing there work ive had a ton more stuff done. I even brought in my wifes car and she is so picky about her car. Oh hell no! This guy might do well on low end cars, but I would never recommend him for the high end stuff. We took our car into him, and he literally begged us to let him work on it claiming he was sick and tired of working on ghetto blasters. I kid you not; he said this to us. Then the guy proceeds to do such a garbage job, that we had to pay someone else $500 bucks to take it out! This is what we found: duct taped speakers in, ran wires along door-jam unprotected from friction rub, improperly installed flip-top head unit, so the thing would open and immediately shut without being able to change settings. The list goes on and on. Then we try to call him and for days he's dodging our calls on both lines. I swear to God every bit of this is true. We finally started using alternate phones because he had our numbers ID'ed. When he answers he hangs up, We went to our credit card company for a partial resolution. The rest, including the equipment because we returned it, he kept and we haven't seen or heard from Pancho (not his real name) ever since. If you're going in for a $200 job on a car you don't care about, maybe this merchant is the guy for you. But, if you're bringing something substantial in, consider this review fair warning. Worst customer service EVER and they should be sued for fraud, clearly, they do not know what they are doing. My car had a perfectly good radio but I decided to upgrade to a nicer radio and to have a camera installed as well. They sold me a POS radio after I told them I wanted a radio where I could use Auto Android. They put in a cheap radio and charged me $300 I did some research on the radio and found out it was a radio I could have purchased at Walmart for $40. I took the car back and asked for a better radio and once again said I wanted to be able to use Auto Android they said bring it back and they would install the better radio I took my car back and they installed a radio that only used Apple Play, not auto android. I took it back and they said they had to order the correct radio and it was going to be more money, I paid the money the radio arrives I take my car back they install the radio and none of the buttons on my steering wheel are working. I have to take the car back again. I take the car back they said I have to purchase a device for the steering wheel and the buttons will work, nope, still not working. Then they install another radio with the auto android I literally drive 3 minutes away from my home and the radio died. I drive back and they say it's going to take 3 weeks to get a new radio so I select another more expensive radio. I go to pick up my car and there is a wire hanging from the back window and they used double stick tape to put a microphone on my dashboard and there's a big black wire hanging underneath the dashboard right next to the gas peddle and they told me the radio was not compatible with my car for the auto android, they finally figured out it was indeed compatible they had not connected a wire. I had I told the guy I have been back here 9 times and you the work is crappy and you're not fixing anything you're making it worse. He tells me to go ahead and give me a bad review people are still going to come anyway. They have signs posted all over their shop about customer service and if you complain they will not help you. So I kept quiet for a long time but not anymore. So now I am going to another place in Napa, customer service is already 1000 percent better and they actually know what they are doing. If anyone is looking for fast service and affordable prices for car alarms Pancho is the man to go to. I have a '98 Honda Civic & someone had been trying to break into it. It already showed that they had tried to dig through the driver side lock. At this point you couldn't even open the drivers side. So I needed to do something to arm my car other than a putting a club on it & I was so worried I'd have to spend a large chunk of $ to do this. Of course, I searched Yelp & Pancho Cisco came up with some pretty good reviews. So I called Pancho. I told him what was happening & asked him for his advice. He suggested to install an alarm for the simple fact that if they did break in, they wouldn't be able to start the ignition. That seemed reasonable to me AND he was able to do the work that day. This was comforting to know because it was the only day my husband & I had off together & we just wanted to take care of it in 1 day & get it over with. Everything went really smooth. We took the car to Pancho within an hour, we chose our alarm system & left the work to Pancho. He charged me $300 for everything. I really didn't do any research on prices but I was ok with it for the following reasons: It was short notice No appointment needed Pancho was very knowledgeable One stop deal, he had everything in his shop. No need to order anything. At the end of the day, when we drove our car home we noticed the radio didn't work. We called Pancho back & with no problems, he said to take it back & he could fix it. And that's what he did. What really made me a satisfied customer was Pancho knew what he was talking about, he gave an affordable price & he got the job done. And what more can you ask for? Because the radio arrived just before the holiday we had a short time to find someone who could get the work done quickly. To our gratitude Panchos stated that they could have it done on time. So we bring the car in. The owner, Pancho, greeted us and stated that he did not have the harness needed for the job... Mind you we spoke to them on the phone and they stated all was well. Okay, not too bad. Pancho said they could use a universal harness to get it done on time. We shook hands and the deal was made. Pancho said it would take several hours and to expect his call. Hours pass and no call. We finally got tired of waiting and drove on over to check. We waited in the waiting area for a long time. Finally Pancho came over to speak with us. He stated that he could not install the radio(which was a BOSS model) because the radio wasn't compatible with the vehicle... I should have walked away at this point because in hind site this just doesn't make sense. Anyways, I took him for the expert and went home to order another radio, a Pioneer model. A couple days pass, mothers day has came and went, and we finally had a the new radio. We return to Panchos, and as before he stated that he would call a few hours later when the job was completed. Again, no one called, and we had to go on over on our own. When we arrived, all looked well. We parted ways, thinking the work was done without error. After driving for a few hours, we noticed that the radio feature wasn't working. There was static, an antennae error. We called Pancho again, and he said to bring it back and he would take a look. So off we go, once again, to Pancho's. He said he would fix it and to leave it again; he would call when it was done. Hours go by, AND AGAIN we had to just go when we assumed the work was done. When we arrived, Pancho and I engaged in some conversation. He proceeded to speak in spanish as I am also latino. He then goes on to say how I and all other latinos are demanding, that we cause issue for him, unlike his white or black customers. I was in shock, and for fear of him not completing the work on my car I chose to say nothing, but in my mind I was infuriated. He assured us that everything was fine and we left. But again, we realized that things were not right, the radio still didn't work(though less static) and the radio buttons on the steering wheel did not work. Off to Pancho again. By now we were pissed, and just wanted to get the work done without further incident. Pancho comes over and has the audacity to say that it was our fault that we kept having issues, since whenever we came he had many people, as a result he could not focus on our car. I had no words when I heard this. I simply could not believe this man. I began to consider that he might be "special", and perhaps did not take his meds. He said that we needed to write him a sticky note, noting the issues with the car. If I am paying you to install a radio, you should check that everything works before giving it back to me. But I digress, anyways, he again said all was well and we took off. It wasn't until a week later that we realized the bluetooth was working. That was the last straw. Instead of taking it to Panchos(mind you, I've been to this place four times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I decided to go to another local place called Broadway Audio. After explaining everything, the guys here said that we are the fourth customers to bring in a car that was worked on by Pancho. On average, there are 4-5 customers a week that come here after seeing Pancho. The guys told us not to worry and they would make it all well. When we went to pick it up, everything worked fine!!! Not only that, but the guys cleaned up the work done by Pancho. They even took two pictures of how Pancho left the wires, which were exposed and left to touch the internal mental, which could have burned the computers in the radio and the car. These guys at Broadway Audio were amazing, fixing all of the work that Pancho had done. After what these guys said and done, I called Pancho's and asked for my money back. They said yes, and I went over a few days later to retrieve it. Once I arrived, I was told that I could not get my money back. I was seconds away from exploding. Another thing I failed to mention earlier is that Pancho drilled a hole, the size of a quarter, into the center paneling for a switch of some sort without my consent, resulting in hundreds if not thousands of dollars to repair. I called to see if I needed an appointment to have a new stereo I purchased elsewhere installed. Pancho said to just come in. I brought the car in and he said it would take about an hour and a half. He called back right on time and said the car was done. The install was perfect. He even fixed a preexisting broken cover on the power window switches. I was very impressed with the excellent work and customer service. Businesses like this are very hard to find these days. I highly recommend Pancho Cisco for any auto installations. read more

Beware Beware Beware Be very careful when you are choosing a company to install an after market stereo. I was quite surprised to find the quality of work very poor. Every time I turn on my new stereo my hazard light start flashing. Every time I change tracks my inside dome light lights up. I am now afraid to drive my vehicle. I tried to have them fix it but other things just start happening. I am thinking about taking public transportation and selling my car.
