22 years, I figured it out today, I have been going to Sunday Brunch at Pancho Villa's . Went one Valentine's Day evening and one New Year's Eve, but all the rest, Sunday Brunch. I have brought at least a dozen + friends to Pancho Villa's for their first time and they also loved it. Best food, service and that magnificent 10 piece Mariachi and the couple that dances Folklorico. Was there today after a 3 year absence ( that pandamic setbacks). Everything in prices have gone up, I completely understand, but was a bit disappointed that the flowing Champagne that always was in the Brunch price, is no longer included. It was a $25 extra for a bottle. Otherwise, still my favorite place, as I am always happy when I'm there. read more

When I ate this chicken for the first time six months ago, I loved it, and I had it again this weekend, but honestly, I was very disappointed because it had too much seasoning and was so salty that it was inedible, and the beans tasted like canned refried beans... how sad. read more

There are many Mexican Restaurants in Long Beach, but this little mom and pop spot makes their food from scratch, great service and quality worth the bargain in my opinion. Go see for yourself I trust you will enjoy their grilled chicken on Thursday's to Sundays. Don't waste your money on Supermarket Roasted chicken when you can get better quality chicken here. read more

Based on other Yelper's review I thought this place would have some great food and service. Walking in the place, you must first place an order at the window/counter. You pay then sit at a available table. I was hoping they would serve some chips and salsa while waiting, but nope, you have to order and pay for any chips or salsa as they are all extra. I basically ended up ordering the Steak & Chicken Fajita's. I was hoping to experience some authentic seasonings but all I ended up with was some salt and pepper. What was more disappointing was watching the preparation of the platter. The Spanish rice that was served on the plate was more than a day old. Taken from the refrigerator it was placed in a bowl and warmed in the micro-wave and then dumped on the platter. I also did not receive the non-existent avocado that was pictured in the menu. Overall I can't emphasize how disappointed I was with this establishment. Could my expectations been too high based on other Yelper's reviews? I don't think so, service is supposed to be universal and quality is supposed to be a given. Based on this experience the best I can offer is a single star. I am giving 2 stars because I have to be honest the food is good, I didn't find what I wanted but they have good choices that make u get in to the menu, but honestly after all I won't come back! Had to update my review of the place because the customer service (from ONE particular female employee) is ALWAYS terrible. She's incredibly rude every single time. Such a disappointment because I actually like their food. Pancho Villa please talk to your daughter granddaughter niece or whoever she is, because her attitude is ruining your business. I won't be recommending this place. People are spending their MONEY at your establishment and should be met with good customer service. This place is a great stop for authentic Mexican food. I'm always surprised when I get such top notch food in a strip mall - but don't be fooled, the food here is delicious. What's more, the service is so friendly and there's real family feel here. You'll definitely feel taken care of here! Chips with beans and crema to start was a nice touch. I had the asada plate which was great and the other (vegetarian) folks I was with both had enchiladas - we all left with full bellies and smiles on our faces. read more

They even sale stuff that you don't see on the menu; from carne asada fries to a California burrito (with the proper request). On the weekends they sale a grilled chicken combo outside starting Friday that comes with a whole grilled chicken, rice, beans, tortillas and of course your veggies and salsas. read more

The roasted chicken is very flavorful, well cooked and well seasoned. They don't take debit/credit cards yet so take your cash

Excellnt food. A very plain but warm and quality service neighborhood spot. Has walk-up window or inside with tables.

Portion size and price is relative. If meat portions are small and what they sell is different than norm or even the pictures in their menu. Never seen an asada torta with diced meat rather than a piece of steak. You end up dropping all the pieces and chasing your meat on the plate while trying to eat. To make things worse there was very little of the diced meat therefore finding all the pieces dropped was a must! The amount of meat was certainly less than the price in this torta.
