Our server was great, warm & friendly and helped with picking our meal. The chicken bites were pretty good, but must be paired with the garlic aioli or else it feels like it's missing something. I was also surprised by how much we got. It was more than expected. The pancakes were good, also quite large and we were not able to finish it. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Pancake Social. I called ahead to ask when the last seating was and was told 1:30 PM. I arrived at 1:00 PM, well within that window, only to be told they could not seat me because they "got busy." This was only 15 minutes after I called, and the restaurant had very few guests and was clearly not busy. As someone who works in the service restaurant industry, this is unacceptable. If you give a guest a last seating time, you honor it. My restaurant would never turn away a guest after confirming availability. This felt disorganized, unprofessional, and inconsiderate of guests' time. Please do better -- clearer communication and basic hospitality go a long way. read more

Came here with my family earlier. Place is cute, modern, spacious, and bright. Everyone was super nice and greeted us. Our waiter was very nice too! Super chill and got our orders fast. Ordered a kids meal for my kids share, husband got a burrito, I got a smaller. The pancakes were huge, so soft, and tasted fantastic! They were served with hot syrup. This is a fantastic little brunch place in an area with very few options. The restaurant itself is always clean and nice outdoor seating area. We always order the chicken appetizer and some variation of their specialty coffees. Definitely recommend! We could make a meal out of these chicken bites and we usually end up ordering two sets! The service is always nice as well. Very attentive and welcoming. Reminds me of an upscale IHOP with much better food. Genuine breakfast location without the extra frills of decor and DJs which was good for a change to be able to socialize. Able to handle big groups. Service was great with just one server even with our large party size. Even offered a free pancake for the birthday celebration. TLDR: 3/5 - The vibes were there but nothing was really screaming out to me to write home about. Food: Eggs Benedict: 3/5 - I've had better. Lacked hollandaise sauce. The egg was more of a soft boil than a poached. I was not expecting the fritters to be essentially latkas but I wasn't mad at it. Cortado: 4/5 - First time trying so I had no comparison but I liked it! French toast sticks: 3/5 - Not much frill to it. Went to Pancake Social on Sunday with my boyfriend and it was great. I ordered the PS Pancake Plate and he ordered the Chicken and Pancakes. I'm a picky eater so it takes a lot for me to explore new foods, which is why I went with the safe option. I really liked it, the pancakes were so big I actually had leftovers. For drinks I ordered a latte-- it wasn't my favorite, but I drank it anyway. Our server was fast and attentive. After waiting for a few minutes she came with water and took our order. She came by and checked how we were doing during the meal. The bartender gave me a to-go cup for the leftover coffee and even prepped it to go. Even though it was Sunday, the restaurant wasn't packed, and we were able to get a table right when we got there. They were going to give us a big table since it was the only one available, but I told them we could wait for a minute while they cleaned a two-person table that had just become available, and they cleaned it fast. For a Sunday brunch spot, it wasn't THAT pricey, which we appreciate. Overall pretty good if looking for a Sunday brunch spot. read more

Overall I enjoyed breakfast here! Parking was super easy and we were able to be sat right away. The servers were super friendly and multiple people welcomed us. Our server Jas was great. Our food came out timely and we didn't feel rushed. We shared the huge apple cinnamon pancakes which were light and tasty. We had a side of bacon, chicken sausage, and tater tots. I didn't get a chance to eat here. I went in to ask questions about a potential visit. I wanted to bring 13 coworkers on a Friday morning for breakfast before work. There was a young lady and a young man at the counter when I walked in. I asked about the early morning menu being extended 30 minutes for my group to come in before work. The young man immediately said no. The young lady asked if I'd like her to ask a manager and I said, "yes please." She called a manager who also said we could not get the time extended. I talked for about 5 minutes with the young lady and young man before being asked about contacting a manager. I'm all for empowering your staff, however, if they can not make the decision, then I would have preferred to have been asked about a manager sooner. Today was not the day. Understandably, this location was busier than usual. However, I believe you should prepare for the best. I'll start with the positives. Jonah was great and authentically friendly. The tater tots were consistently good. The grapefruit juice was just as good as the last time. The food was a bit cold when it came out. Our food came out almost 7 minutes apart. I watched food sit at the pass for several minutes (at least 10) before it was delivered to a table of 2 who were there and ordered well before we did. The pancakes and bacon were not hot and the eggs and pork sausage, which came out several minutes after the pancakes was hot but left a lot to the imagination. My biscuit and gravy was not the best. It was Luke warm and the biscuit was extremely salty. So salty that it cut through the chicken and gravy. The gravy was delicious but again only Luke warm. The chicken was seasoned well but could have been a little warmer. Nia, who was our server the last time we were here, stopped by and checked on us. She is one of the best parts of this location. Keep her! Nevertheless, it is a busy and rainy Sunday and I hope that the experience today is not indicative of normal for this location. read more

Service. Waited to be seated & once shown to our table, there might have been some miscommunication who was serving the table. It took about 15min to have a server take our order. Order was simple, cortado & drip coffee. The server who took our order hadn't came to bring us our coffee but I did see her and about three other staffers pointing and looking at different directions of the dining area. The server who took our order then got BZ w/ making coffee, so, I had thought she was making our coffee and didn't mind waiting. Unfortunately, she wasn't making our coffees we ordered but I think she got tagged to serve up the coffee orders. Some time lapsed & another server passed us up & git her attn to ask her about our coffee order & who would take our order as the other server hadn't came back and seemed assigned otherwise. She kindly took our orders & I changed my coffee order from a cortado to a cappuccino & we processed to place the entirety of our order which were two main entrees in addition to the coffees. When our coffees were delivered; I received the precocious order, but, when the secondary server walked by, she immediately noticed it was incorrect & she took the time to replace it. Our food took about 30min & the hostess along w/ our server apologized to the lengthy wait.... I don't believe I will visit this location again. I noticed that there was another location @ Ponce & will give that location a try. But, besides this... if their service is no btr, then, I will not revisit for a third time. I had to put sugar packets in the btm of the table bc it was unbalanced and the 1st server (who came by who took our order that didn't even give us the courtesy to let us know that she was pulled elsewhere & she should have replaced her service w/ another, instead we had to figure it out and wait to ask another server for assistance) did not have a solution for the issue. read more

Food?! Ehh. Service?! Uhhh. For today's visit, they were much busier than my last. Based on that previous experience, I returned today. If solely based on today's experience, I'd return if someone wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my recommendation. Anytime I see someone more concerned with their phone than the food sitting in the window for ANYone's table, it's a problem. I know the 2-3 tables waiting on that food would likely not appreciate knowing the wait for their chew could've ended several minutes sooner, if only the young lady would've put her phone down and picked up them plates. I ordered the Pancake Plate and my pancakes and bacon were barely warm, which came out several minutes after my partner's salty Biscuits & Gravy. Despite asking for silverware twice, it finally came after the food. When half done with my pancakes, that's when my scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage arrived to the table. See the picture?! Does that look like $1.50 worth of cheese to you? It doesn't to me. But thankfully, they were hot. Knowing they can do better, because they have when I was in a party of seven bs today's party of two, I expected better. But I'll just chop it up as an "off" but busy day. All of our food came out hot and to perfection! Chef's Kiss to the Westside Paper Location! We've always gone to Ponce since March.....until today. Westside is #1 for us now. Ponce is good. Westside is just where it is. My eggs were scrambled HARD as requested. The link sausages were juicy. The pancakes were fluffy, hot and they tasted so good that I didn't need syrup. The Honey Hot chicken bites were the best part of the meal. And also the chicken tasted the best it has ever tasted. Immensely enjoyed the food! We were lucky to have Jonah as our server today. He was very welcoming. I asked for recommendations as this was our first time here. When I mentioned the hot honey chicken sandwich Jonah shared his version (pictured above) which is on a brioche bun with a fried egg. The sandwich comes with a Russian sauce that is a nice addition of sweet with a little kick not too much though. The other sauce for the potatoes was a garlic aioli that I put on the sandwich as well. The pickles are made in house & have bit of sweetness to them. The cucumber salad is very bright and refreshing. I highly recommend giving the sandwich a try you will not be disappointed. I also recommend the restaurant call this "The Jonah"!!! read more

I will begin by saying: I am not from the Atlanta. I met someone at this restaurant for brunch. I would have to say following the GPS; I missed the entrance. The building is supper cute. The ambiance is is nice but the place is really small and cramped. I would not recommend big groups for this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place is really clean. We were sad relatively quickly. The food was not bad, but they were several things that I personally did not like. The pancakes were really thin. I had chicken and biscuits. The chicken was absolutely delicious and so was the gravy. However, the biscuit was grainy. If I remember correctly, the menu said it was a butter, flaky biscuit, but that was not what I receive. Sorry for the half eaten meal picture, but if someone zooms into the picture one can see how grainy that biscuit really was. We were given paper menus that look like they had been swiped many times. I appreciate the fact of the cleanliness, but laminate then or get a different material than paper. After we order, I realized that there was a QR codes for the menu. Maybe this was just me but the menu was not really clear. I understand what they were going for by putting some slang words, but not everybody understands slang words and or other languages. We really wanted to love this place. It's cute, clean and convenient to our house. The food is good. But the service is really struggling. Each time we've come, we've waited over an hour from being seated to getting our food. And we've been given different excuses each time; oven not working, not enough cooks, not enough servers, etc.. The servers are kind and apologetic, it seems like a management issue. They should be upfront when you enter than you will have an extended wait. So first off we never even got to eat. We came in party of two sat at a table so small that two plates wouldn't fit on it with a joke of a seat. That was this little tiny stool. Right in a high traffic area. Then we asked to be moved and they told us that we had to get back in the weight line and we would have to wait another 15 or 20 minutes to be set. I went on a Wednesday morning. There were four tables with guests (two eating and two tables waiting on food). I didn't notice the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign upon entry (it was covered up by menus), but somehow it caught my attention. I waited at the front of the restaurant to be seated. I waited at the front of the restaurant while the server (appeared to be the only server working) came into very, very close proximity to me (to get condiments for a to-go order/bag). I, then noticed a small nook of the restaurant with two additional people waiting for to-go. I waited at the front of the restaurant while the server talked to the kitchen staff. I waited at the front of the restaurant while my toddler read a book about pancakes. I waited at the front of the restaurant until I could wait no more. I was never greeted, I was never given eye-contact, I was never acknowledged. At the very least upon entry, a welcome to Pancake Social may have been enough for me to wait just a bit longer.
