A side of 3 chicken wings
    Isaac E.

A food spot that actually cares about quality! I'd definitely come back. We decided to try it on a Sunday after church. A group of 9 (5 adults and 4 Kids). We waited about 45 minutes and spoiler alert, id be willing to wait longer for their food. The ambiance was very pleasant and didn't give your average Atlanta brunch spot. No hookah, crazy food items, or rude servers. It was the complete opposite! Kid friendly and Our server was very informative about the menu items. I wanted to be simple so I tried their catfish with cheese grits and French fries and a side of 3 wings. The catfish was a very generous size and 10/10 if you ask me. The fries and grits were delicious and filling. I couldn't even complain about anything if I wanted to. The wings were seasoned to the bone! When I tell you I was impressed and glad I tried them. This is why Grits and eggs is better than most of these brunch spots in Atlanta. I will be sure to try it again and bring my friends.

This was one of the best brunch spot we have been to in the ATL. The fine service starts at the door, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. Total experience was great! Parking may be their only concern so plan accordingly. Perfect ambience for indoor and outdoor environments.

So there was a significant improvement over my last visit from 3 years ago. Maybe I just picked the right thing lol. I had the curry shrimp and grits this time and they were delicious. However i will say when my friend was attempting to order drinks they were out of several liquors on a Saturday afternoon so not sure what was up with that. Either way my experience was great. Note: parking has a charge now. Either valet or park in the parking deck and pay via QR code.

My sister friend and I went on Wednesday morning around 10:30a for her birthday so no wait. I know this place gets STUPID packed on weekends and holidays. She recommended it since she said they have good wings. The restaurant inside and outside was nice. Great lighting, great layout. Cute bar though we didn't attend since we had our kiddos with us. Our waitress was new to the floor meaning it was her first day out of training and despite this, she was awesome! She was attentive, accommodating, and understanding. We started with the beignets, and then we both ordered the 3 wings with two sides, and she ordered an extra 3 wings dinner with two sides. Her sides were yams, macaroni and cheese, and collards. I had the wings with yams, macaroni and cheese, and roasted vegetables. We did it this way so we could be economically feasible while satisfying our taste buds, kids, and appetites. Let me say before forgetting, they serve breakfast and soul food the entire time they're open and I believe they close at 3pm. Our food was great! Not a huge fan of sweets especially since I didn't like the beignets in NOLA too much (yeah I said it). But these were buttery, flaky and soft. They had the right balance of sweet, savory, and crunch. Definitely a must try. Now onto the main entrees. The collards were good but unexpectedly spicier than we imagined. My friend's daughter reacted to them and she's half Nigerian so they were spicy for an almost two year who's used to spicy lol But the flavor was good so if you're into that, there you have it! The macaroni and cheese was good. 7/10. Nothing to be like ooooo that ish was bomb. It was good, no complaints. The roasted veggies were awesome. A good balance of crunch and tenderness, and they were seasoned well. My little love loved them! Now, the chicken wings were AMAZING! Not too big in size like steroid chicken wings and not teeny tiny like a baby chicken. Just right! The flavor, the juiciness, the everything! It was the right kinda chicken wang! Our yams were cold when they brought them out like they were sitting or didn't turn on the pot but once our server bought us fresh, hot yams, they completed the meal. 7/10. The ONLY thing that I/we didn't like were the cornbread muffins which was disappointing. Those things were hard like golf balls and cold. They weren't a main character anyway so we wasn't tripping too hard on them. Lastly, parking is in the garage and if you're lucky, you can park at one of the three retail spaces for free. Gotta pay for the others! 7.5 out of 10 overall. Please go and enjoy. I'll be going back!

Service was amazing, the manager (I believe his name Shawn)and the host made our experience wonderful. Food was delicious. Drinks were great and the decor and vibe was good, I loved the live music. Would definitely go back when in town.

My husband found this place on our way out for an outing and I'm so glad he did. We were greeted by the hostess upon arrival and sat down immediately. I ordered a passion fruit lemonade which was delicious but extremely sweet. I did have to water it down a bit with my glass of water. Our server was very attentive and was able to help my husband when it came down to what dish he recommended was the best. My husband ordered the catfish and grits which he was very appreciative the server suggested. I ordered a create your own omelette: cheddar cheese, bacon and spinach. Our son had the scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage patty and toast. We also ordered the beignets which were phenomenal. We enjoyed this place and can't wait to come back and visit in the future.

We checked this spot out for brunch. Parking is a bit tricky as you can either valet for $10 or $5 to park in the garage. Parking in the garage is limited and a bit tight so be warned. The decor is cozy and relaxed. They had a piano player which was really nice. This spot was a great find. While it was super crowded, I put our name in for the clearest so when we showed up, we were quickly seated. They do have a kids menu which was reasonably priced so that was awesome for my two hungry kids! Do order the beignets! 5 come in an order and they are flakey and delicious. One of the best beignets ever. I tried the blackened salmon with grits. Fantastic grits with a nice hint of spice and the blackened salmon was well cooked and flavorful. Such a good brunch meal! My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and was equally impressed. Also the peach iced tea was amazing! Highly recommend the drinks. The waitstaff was attentive and very helpful throughout. Highly recommend!!!

Very casual inside - dining room good size, also has large outdoor seating - the bar is small maybe 4 chairs - we were greeted as soon as we walked in and led to our table - the waitress came over pretty quickly, greeted us and had water sent over - we then gave her our order and we waited a bit BUT I was ok with that because everything came out hot and delish, everyone in my party was very happy - 1 mishap - someone's food had hair in it - they took it back and sent a fresh order back out - next time I'm in ATL (which is pretty often) this will be on my list to do again ** maybe after 11am so I can have an espresso martini (as I visited on Sunday)

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, I decided to go on a solo brunch on a Friday afternoon. Location: The location is in a cute retail shopping area, with apartments over it. Parking: theres a parking garage where you pay or you can valet. My parking was free and I don't know how much valet was. Service: The service was perfect!! From walking in to leaving, I waited about 5 minutes but the manager or owner was friendly and made sure to find somewhere for me to sit. Ambience/Crowd: it's pretty casual and family friendly. It's a tight fit in there. Food/drink: The food was delicious! I had the shrimp and grits with pancakes, the only thing I would change is taking the shell off the tail of the shrimp. Will I be back? Yes! So many other things to try. And the service was great!

Ribeye and Two Sides (Eggs and Collard Greens)
    Courtney M.

I enjoyed Grits and Eggs Breakfast Kitchen. The food is delicious, especially the ribeye! It's a nice size, tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. I liked the collard greens a lot and my friend enjoyed the chicken and waffles. They have cocktails, mocktails, specialty tea and more. The blueberry mint lavender lemonade is SO good, the perfect blend of sweet, but refreshing. The wait wasn't very long for us once at the restaurant. We put our name on the waitlist an hour before we planned to arrive. Once we got there and checked in, we were seated shortly after. When you arrive, check in to let them know you're there. Don't wait for them to text or call. Service was good. I liked the touch of the piano player. It's a nice chill vibe, but still with a little aesthetic that's not too much if you're just looking for good food! Valet was $10, but you can park yourself in the garage for $5.

    Beignets
    Courtney E.

My first meal in ATL was alright... the fried chicken honey biscuit sandwich was really good. The chicken was juicy, crispy, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Without the honey, the biscuit would've been very dry, as I noticed when I tasted a piece of biscuit that was naked without sauce. The beignets were disappointing. One of the best textured beignets I've ever had - crispy and pillowy soft - that tasted like oil with a hint of sweet glaze. I was expecting more. Luckily I was satisfied enough with the sandwich. I recommend visiting to try the fried chicken sandwich and I may return to try other chicken entrees, but I wouldn't touch the beignets. The glaze needs to be a lot more forward in taste or perhaps a different cooking oil would work.

Hidden gem in Smyrna. I came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch with my nieces. I read the reviews about parking so I opted to valet and skip that headache. When we arrived, they had live music and I was sold. Not to mention the hostess was so lovely! She directed us to a few seats while we waited for our table. I sang along and danced to the pianist in the meantime. Once seated, we were greeted by our server Mariah, and the top tier service continued. We could tell she was busy, which was fine because she did communicate that to us. The beignets we ordered were complimentary as a result, which was a nice surprise! They were bit oily for my liking, but my nieces gobbled them up. They gave them a 4.5 out of 5. For drinks, I had a mocktail and my nieces had water. My mocktail was very refreshing! For our meal, we had the chicken and waffles, create your own omelette, and two pancakes and eggs. We all truly enjoyed our meals and the music playing. They were playing all of my parents oldies, and I loved every second of it. The decor is pretty simple. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor did look like you had more room. They even had an igloo option. There was a group dining there when we arrived. I didn't notice any spaces for IG photo opps for those who are into that kinda thing but if you're looking for great food and service, this is the place to check out! I will definitely be back.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes. Definitely do that. It was a lot of people waiting without one.

    Is parking easy?

No!! Limited parking. Will have to valet.

Is there meat in the collard greens?

    No, just greens

Do they have any gluten free options? I know obviously grits and of course eggs are naturally GF but the additives to make them go further aren't sometimes

I'm not sure about all gluten free options. However I can tell you that they offer coconut pancakes. The grits are amazing !!

Is this suited for a large party of 10-1?

I went with a party of 11 they made it work

    Do they offer/serve mimosas?

    Yes they serve great mimosas

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

That said, the aesthetic feels less Buckingham Palace and more whimsical London antique shop -- charming & eclectic. I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha and a breakfast plate. The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service. This is not your "grab a quick biscuit and leave" type of breakfast spot. This is Atlanta brunch culture turned into a full experience. 4/5 The ambiance hits first. Emerald green booths, marble tables, warm lighting, good music, and a crowd that looked like Sunday had multiple dress codes. One table looked fresh out of church in full elegance. Another looked like they just finished a Target run and decided they deserved French toast after surviving aisle 14. Somehow it all blended together perfectly. People were smiling, talking loud, taking photos, and genuinely enjoying themselves. The restaurant feels upscale without making you feel uncomfortable. Service was honestly one of the best parts of the experience. Every woman working there was kind, professional, patient, and welcoming. No attitude. No "you bothering me" energy. In Atlanta brunch culture, that alone deserves a standing ovation and a church tambourine. Water stayed filled, food came out smoothly, and the staff carried themselves like they wanted you there. Now the food. The 24 Karat Gold Pancakes are the celebrity of the menu for a reason. The menu describes them as "3 fluffy pancakes dressed with strawberries, blueberries, powdered sugar, honey butter, edible orchid & 24k edible gold" served with bourbon apple cider syrup. 4/5. These pancakes are massive. Not "oh that's a decent portion" massive. These are "why does this pancake look like a car tire?" massive. People around us were sharing them like an appetizer table at a family reunion. Apparently the restaurant originally wanted this stack to feed four people only, but they changed it because Atlanta decided portion control was optional and everybody wanted their own plate. Respectfully, the people won. The pancakes already have sweetness built into them, so you barely need syrup. The texture was soft and fluffy throughout. The only thing missing was those crispy diner-style edges that give pancakes a little bite and contrast. Eggs were a solid 3/5. Nothing offensive, nothing life changing. They existed peacefully on the plate and minded their business. The breakfast potatoes were the weakest part of the meal at 2/5. Small cubes, under-seasoned, and lacking personality. These potatoes felt like they got hired last minute and never trained properly. The Sweet Heat Wings though? Different story. 4/5. The flavor was immaculate. Sweet, sticky, savory, and balanced with enough heat to keep you coming back. The only problem is the wings looked like they came from a chicken that skipped breakfast at Barney's itself. Tiny. Delicious, but tiny. The catfish nuggets were another strong plate. 4/5. Golden fried with a crisp coating that stayed crunchy. Honestly good enough without sauce, which is usually the sign of good fried fish. The sauce added another layer, but the seasoning already carried the dish well. Now let's talk about the Barney's Soul Rolls. 5/5. The menu and reviews describe these like Thanksgiving stuffed into a crispy roll with greens, yams, and mac and cheese. We bit into these and immediately started singing gospel music. I'm talking choir stand energy. These were ridiculous in the best way possible. Crispy outside, rich and savory inside, sweet from the yams, creamy from the mac and cheese. Every bite tasted like somebody's auntie cooked with a soundtrack playing in the background. Easily the best thing we had. Breakfast at Barney's understands the assignment. Big portions, stylish atmosphere, strong brunch energy, and food designed to make people talk. Some items were stronger than others, but the experience as a whole delivered. If you go: * Share the pancakes unless you're entering a competitive eating contest * Order the Soul Rolls immediately * Don't expect the potatoes to save your life * Come hungry * Come prepared for a lively crowd * Bring people who enjoy the experience as much as the food Atlanta has plenty of brunch spots trying to look important. Breakfast at Barney's feels like one that genuinely enjoys being alive.

Flavor‑wise, the food lands right between authentic Mexican and Tex‑Mex -- not trying too hard to be either, just doing its own thing. Fish Taco -- 9.2/10 Super solid. Fresh, well‑seasoned, and even better after I adjusted the garnishes to my liking. Chile Relleno -- 7/10 They use a four‑cheese blend, which was a bit overwhelming for me, and the batter was on the harder side. Still enjoyable, just different from the traditional style. Chips & Salsa -- 9.5/10 (11/10 with the spicy add‑on!) Do yourself a favor and ask for the habanero crisps on the side. Mix those in and it becomes elite. Red Velvet Cheesecake -- 8.5/10 Rich, decadent, and a must if you've got a sweet tooth. And I have to shout out Charlie, who was holding down the entire café by herself. Friendly, patient, and on top of everything. She made the experience even better. Would definitely stop by again next time in town. Would recommend if youre in the area.

Location and Parking Located on Memorial Drive, they have a lot with free parking, but when it gets crowded (spoiler alert: it always does) there's also street parking available. Venue and Atmosphere Step through the door adorned with a million stickers, and it's like being transported into someone's home kitchen. The vibes are comforting and casual, with friendly service to match. Food and drinks Pro tip: get the breakfast enchiladas! The chorizo was so flavorful and the sauce was delicious as well. I took no leftovers because I wanted to experience all of the deliciousness on the spot. Service From the hostess to our actual server to whoever is working the bar, the staff were amazing. Food arrived quickly, even though there was a steady constant stream of people coming and going Verdict I'll be back!

I ordered the comfy chicken with a salmon patty and french toast. Weird combination but I wanted to try many items. The French toast was really good and simple. The salmon patty is good value but more breading than I expected. The comfy chicken seemed to be more breading than last time but the gravy had more sausage this time. No complaints.
