This year we spent Valentines evening at 101 Steak! The service was 10/10! We enjoyed both of our appetizers and our entrees. You must order the Calamari and shrimp app it was delish! If you like mussels do not pass that up on the menu. Over all I will give it a 9/10. We will be returning.

I've been here 3 times now, once for dinner and twice for happy hour. Both options were great but I'd definitely come back again sooner for happy hour. The food is fantastic and the drinks/wine selection is great.

We are here to celebrate our Anniversary and it was splendid. Hubby got a perfect steak and tender enough to cut with a fork. The corn is super sweet and the brussel sprouts were perfectly prepared. Everything was beautifully presented. I had the lamb special and OMG. I have to say the wine list is INCREDIBLE and I was not disappointed. Our server Julia couldn't have been better. Great atmosphere and quiet ambiance. They gave us a dessert and we selected the crème brûlée- perfect with fresh berries. Worth the price for the experience and service.

Overall, it was a solid dining experience with a few hiccups worth noting. The service was decent -- not the best I've had, but our server was very kind and made an effort to ensure we had what we needed. We tried a nice variety of dishes. The Wagyu beef carpaccio was a hit for me but my friend's French onion soup didn't quite land -- she wasn't a fan and ended up not finishing it. We both ordered steaks (mine with a side of crab cakes), and let me just say -- chef's kiss! The steaks were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and tender. On the side, we shared the creamy spinach, crispy Brussels sprouts, and the jalapeño corn brûlée. While we loved the first two, the corn brûlée fell a bit flat -- the flavor just didn't wow us the way we hoped. One odd thing: we were sat in a large booth that could easily seat six people, even though we were just a party of two and could clearly see smaller tables available. Maybe it was a sectioning issue, but it felt like an awkward setup for a more intimate dinner. As for drinks, they were out of a few options we initially wanted, but we still ended up happy with what we ordered. And finally, the rolls -- we had seen some buzz about them online and were expecting something cornbread-adjacent. Instead, they were filled with cheese pockets and didn't quite hit the mark for us. All that said, the steaks and sides (minus the corn) were delicious enough that I'd definitely give 101 Steak another try -- perhaps at the bar next time for a different vibe.

Food, service, and ambiance? 101 Steak does not disappoint! Everything I've tried is delicious. If you have the opportunity to try their lobster bisque, don't miss out!

Parking There is valet ($5) and self parking in a garage. I opted for valet since I don't like garages. Restaurant Upon entering the restaurant I got a romantic/upscale vibe. The bar is immediately to your left upon entering. The desk person was very nice and friendly. Since it was Thanksgiving we had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server was awesome. We ordered the Thanksgiving menu. Most dishes were tasteful. However the green beans casserole was very lackluster and the appearance was not appetizing as well as the mashed sweet potato dish. Not sure how that side item fit in. Now to items that were out of stock: corn bread stuffing and apple dessert. On to the corn dish it was very sweet, but the mashed potatoes tasted homemade and were delicious. A little disappointed that they sold out of some dishes since we had reservations at 6pm. I ordered salmon and grits for the entree. The salmon was cooked perfect, just haven't had salmon and grits before. Even though our waitress was awesome she forgot my credit card when she brought back my bill. I immediately asked another server to send her to my table, that didn't happen. I looked around for a manager but did not see one. I even went to the bar and asked for a manager, one never came to the table. After about 15 minutes someone from the back brought my card to the table. She stated "your waitress left the card on the desk beside the machine". I initially was going back to the restaurant and try the steak but I am on the fence now and not sure. This decision is mainly based on the fact of the restaurant being out of dishes and some items being lackluster. If I go back I will do a second review.

I went to 101 Steak for a friends birthday dinner. The ambiance is really nice and great for a date night or a nice dinner with family and friends. The server for the evening was nice and did a great job with navigating a large party. I ordered a mocktail to drink and the risotto for my entree. When my food arrived it didn't look at all like what I was expecting. When I shared with the server that I thought I was ordering a mushroom risotto that I saw in the pictures on Google. She went and got the manager and they offered to remake the dish as a mushroom risotto. When the new dish came out it was exactly what I wanted and tasted really good. Thanks for making my dining experience pleasant and being willing to make sure I was satisfied

Food was good. At the end of the meal after paying the bill was kicked out of restaurant by a very rude and unprofessional manager. He would not give me a specific reason for kicking me and my girlfriend out. He was very uncomplimentary of my girlfriend. We were sent out into a very cold night and had to wait over 15 minutes for an Uber. We have been to this restaurant many times and never had a problem before. They need a new manager. Dr Jeff Fried

Cucumber-Mint Martini, Sweet Chili Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Pork Dumplings.

It's been a few years since my last visit to this restaurant, but I recalled having a good overall experience prior, so I was game to return. Sat at the bar and ordered the Maryland Crab Cakes, Sweet Chili Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Pork Dumplings to eat. The specialty cocktail of the day was a Cucumber-Mint Martini so I ordered that to drink. I really enjoyed the Crab Cakes and the Cucumber-Mint Martini! I gobbled up the Crab Cakes before I could take a picture (sorry!). The Sweet Chili Chicken Lettuce Wraps were decent, but they had nuts in them which was not specifically called out on the menu. The Dumplings were also just ok. Shout-out to my bartender, Mo. She was very friendly and provided good service. Looking forward to the next time!

Visiting Georgia and we settled on a steak place. We were north of Atlanta in Vinings and found the 101. Open later we enjoyed a great meal, fantastic whisky and conversation. Service was fast and we were one of the few left. Food was fantastic, bread delicious and just a great time. Inside was inviting and fun. Will definitely visit again.

Kansas City Steak

I love steak and this steakhouse is really close to where I live. It's very unassuming and the inside is much larger than it looks on the outside. They do over valet parking, however the parking garage is always pretty empty when I've gone and it's free 3 hours parking. Our server was really nice, but I think the service was a bit slow even though it wasn't even that busy when we went. We got a few different things, we got the carpaccio and oysters for the appetizers and we got the 18 oz 40-day bone-in Kansas City Strip with bone marrow butter. The beef carpaccio was pretty average. I think there were way too many toppings on top of it that covered up the taste and didn't really allow it to shine. The oysters were decent. The steak was definitely the star of the show (we would hope since this is a steakhouse). The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and super juicy. The bone marrow butter was also great with it!

Good spot with valet parking, full bar and 2 big dining rooms.. My server name was Dominique and she was amazing, super helpful and nice.. Food was really good, I ordered broiled oysters and the grouper was/ crab stuffed ravioli and green beans. Nice, fresh, hot and a lot of flavor.. Really good meal and nice establishment.

We were there celebrating our engagement, and they made it feel so special by decorating our table with rings and confetti to celebrate our love. Our server gave us so much attention and made the experience feel personal. Since it was our first time there, they took the time to walk us through some of the best items on and off the menu, and shared their favorite dishes. Everything was done with care. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the food was worth every dollar. The short rib was so tender, and the New York strip was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well just how we like it. The twice-baked potato loaded with bacon, sour cream, chives, and cheese was delicious, and the mac and cheese was so good. I also appreciated that they allowed me to order it without the roasted saltine crackers. I can't wait to visit again!

Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Wanted to love it…read more The vibes are there, the staff is genuinely lovely, and there's real potential here, we just had a bit of an adventure getting through the meal. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

It did not disappoint - in fact, it exceeded my expectations. First of all, Ken was an excellent server. He was paced, attentive, informative, and communicative throughout our experience. We were also celebrating our anniversary, and he and the staff made sure to make the occasion memorable (won't give away to keep it special for you). The food was amazing from beginning to end. First, the bread service was prompt, warm, soft, and served with ricotta. Next, the Ceasar salad was made next to where we sat - and to see them mixing the salads so meticulously down to mixing the dressing from scratch was one of the most amazing dining experiences I've had. I love a good Ceasar - and this was amongst the best. We also ordered the Oysters Marcel - and they were so fresh and bright. For our main course, my wife ordered the bone-in filet. It was cooked to perfection (medium rare - medium). I enjoyed redfish topped with Jump Lump Crab Oscar sauce (with crabs). Both proteins were amazing, but I was surprised by how perfectly cooked the fish was. Delectable. For sides, we enjoyed Cream Corn Gratin and Pommes Frites Béarnaise . Both were complementary of the proteins. The dessert was a 10-Layer Chocolate Cake. It was sooo good. Sweet but not too sweet. Good as it looks. Lastly, the ambiance was amazing. It was like stepping into a portal into a different space in time - almost made you forget we were in Atlanta. It's a bit dark inside - but a well lit darkness - just like I like it. Easy to see the entire space but also feel unseen (even though you are). Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone - although we made a pact to not take anyone from our circle. We want to keep this one for us. But hopefully this write up encourages a stranger to enjoy Marcel. Merci

Walking into Marcel, one is transported to another world. A moody, retro, classic world where…read morebowties are worn unironically in a setting that could best be described as a boxing gym renovated with industrial touches to become a steakhouse in the 1940s. That world could be anywhere. It could even be in Midtown West Atlanta. Service was impeccable. Servers knew we were celebrating our anniversary and were attentive and helpful when making tough menu choices. Pacing was definitely geared toward fine dining. 40 minutes between starters and entree was a BIT long, but it went by. Steak was wonderful (a porterhouse for 2), cooked to a perfect medium rare with seasoning appropriately calibrated to not overpower. East and west coast oysters were fresh and the Marcel salad to start was underdressed and lacked flavor (I enjoyed how they plopped a mound of bleu cheese on top to mix in; I pushed this aside which my server and I laughed about. He said he'd do the same. Maybe it's a sign). Hot bread service with a spreadable cheese and prosciutto was a nice touch. The French fries are probably the best I've ever had, and the asparagus was asparagus (slightly undersalted if anything). Chocolate cake was impressive in presentation but unremarkable for flavor and consistency. My wife enjoyed her decaf coffee as the best she's had at a restaurant, but her cocktail left something to be desired and was extremely tart. A Mexican coke was perfect enough for me. The pricing here is exorbitant. The price tag isn't necessarily a problem given the caliber of dining experience and ambiance that Marcel provides, but given some of the misses on staple items (namesake salad, "famous" chocolate cake), I'm not sure that value for dollar spent is present. In transparency, our dinner comprised of the above was over $400 with tip, which was aligned with expectations walking in the door. Whether the food stood up to the actual place and pricing is a debate. I lean toward an answer of "almost, but close enough not to be insulted." If a gun was pointed at my head to pick the "best steakhouse" in Atlanta, I'd pick Bones without thinking twice. This place is a close second probably, but places like Nowaks in Sandy Springs, while not the same echelon of formality, might have Marcel beat on flavor and definitely have Marcel beat on value for the dollar. Is Marcel's concept valid and well executed? Yes, without question. Would I want somebody else to pay if I returned? Yes, without question. 4.3/5 stars

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
