Clark's Steakhouse (from the team behind Clark & Schwenk's C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar) sits on the ground floor of a Peachtree building. It feels like a classic steakhouse and their deep red booths & bar stools are incredibly comfortable. The room is low lit and feels exceptionally warm & intimate. The valet takes care of the practicalities before you walk in. The steaks are the point, and they are extraordinary. Clark's sources from 'Meats by Linz', buying its Heritage Angus line, which tracks each animal's life cycle. The menu offers both wet- and dry-aged cuts, and each arrives with a deep crust, a tender interior and real depth of flavor. The kitchen also cooks over live hickory & oak fire. The rest of the menu keeps pace. The cocktails & mocktails are carefully made and balanced, so the non-drinkers at the table are treated as well as everyone else. The she-crab soup is silky and rich, the chopped salad is crisp, bright & so good you'll finish it for breakfast; and their creamed spinach is one of the best--anywhere. Clark's is a place for a celebration, a business dinner, or an evening when you want to be pampered & looked after. It's a strong new entry in Atlanta's steakhouse scene. Ask to see their private room, which can seat up to 18 for a private celebration. What sets Clark's apart is the service. Every member of the team, from McKenzie at the bar, to Asiel Gonzales, the maître d', to Joseph, who is incredibly well versed in wine and in life, will make you feel more pampered than at any Atlanta restaurant you've visited in a long time. Clark's is fantastic! Now for the details. Owned by the same company as C & S Seafood which I also enjoy. Located in Buckhead on Peachtree, it is easy to find. Valet parking and it looks like there is an option to park in the garage if you want. My wife and I went on a Tuesday night for a relatively small bite to eat and a drink. When we entered, we were immediately greeted by Alexa who helped us find a seat at the bar and brought us menus. The bar is quite large but was almost full on a Tuesday night. In fact the whole place was packed. It's a dimly lit extremely nicely decorated steakhouse. Beautiful decor. Noah the bartender took great care of us all night. Drinks were perfect. My wife and I shared the grass fed filet and the creamed spinach. The filet was wonderful. I love the little extra flavor of grass fed. The creamed spinach was super rich with Parmesan. Yum! We also finished with the three scoops of gelato (two salted caramel and one vanilla). It was exceptional. They use nice carts to deliver everything table or bar side. Nice touch so you don't ever hear a tray falling full of glass. Seems like a good operational decision. I can't say enough good about our first trip. We will be back. read more

This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of service and ambiance. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly host staff. My server, Bradley, was incredibly attentive, fast, and friendly. He was assisted by Jake, who was also great. I started with the boiled oysters, which were delicious and flavorful. The blackened red snapper with crab meat on top was another highlight. The 8oz filet with sweet potato soufflé and cream spinach was also a great choice. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The customer service was excellent, and the restaurant's atmosphere was lively and inviting. We left Florida this morning ahead of hurricane Isaias and finally made it back into town. To cap off the day, we tried a new steakhouse in Buckhead. Overall, the food was good and service was excellent! , We definitely had better king crab legs as it seemed to have no flavor or maybe frozen too long. The NY dry-aged steak was ok not much flavor and I had better at other restaurants. Then again it's not a Prime steak which is what I'm used to T fine steakhouses. read more

Checked out Clark's for dinner, a new steakhouse in the Garden Hills area of Buckhead that opened in April 2026. It's the brainchild of one of the co-owners of C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar (one of my top favorite spots in Atlanta), so I was really excited to try it. Our reservation was for 8:30 PM, and while we had an extended wait of about 30 minutes, they thoughtfully offered us glasses of Prosecco while we waited which was a really nice touch that set a great tone. The space is beautiful, featuring a large center bar surrounded by table and booth seating with comfortable, plush chairs. Our server Chris and his assistant Adrian were fantastic. Chris walked us through some of the most popular menu choices, and we started with the peach & burrata salad and the she-crab soup, both were wonderful. For our mains, I chose the blackened red snapper (flavorful, though it would have been even better served a bit warmer), and my dining partner had the duck breast paired with the creamed spinach (which was delicious). We finished with the white chocolate bread pudding and salted caramel gelato, which was tasty! From the hostesses to the servers, the entire staff was extremely warm, personable, and attentive. Five-star expectations. Four-star food. One-star experience. I really wanted to love Clark's. I'm a foodie, a longtime C&S Seafood customer, and chose Clark's for an incredibly meaningful birthday dinner for my dear friend Renee. Renee is one of the most selfless people I know--a personal trainer who spends her life caring for her clients, friends, family and aging father. She has also endured unimaginable loss over the past year, losing two young nephews--one to terminal cancer and another to suicide. When I asked what SHE wanted for her birthday, she chose Clark's. I wanted to make it special. I planned this dinner weeks in advance. I began working with Clark's around August 20-22, personally visited the restaurant before our September 3 reservation, discussed seating and expectations, and requested personalized birthday menus. Aisel was wonderful throughout the planning process, and we appreciated being upgraded to the private dining room. Unfortunately, that is where the exceptional hospitality ended. The valet experience was cold and unwelcoming. I arrived formally dressed carrying a large box of flowers and other items, and no one offered assistance. Inside, there was no readily available host to greet me. But the real failure was service. Joseph and Jess were our primary servers. Joseph was pleasant but clearly stretched too thin. Jess told us she was new, appeared overwhelmed almost immediately, displayed an attitude that made requests uncomfortable, and repeatedly told us she couldn't handle basic requests or even take appetizer orders without Joseph. I respect that everyone has to learn, but a carefully planned private dining celebration is not where an inadequately supported new server should be learning how to manage a table. That's ultimately a management and staffing failure. Everything was painfully slow--drinks, water, bread, ordering, clearing plates, replacing silverware and basic table maintenance. Dirty dishes and glasses accumulated. At one point, I had to LEAVE OUR PRIVATE DINING ROOM, find the chef myself, and ask him to locate Joseph and Jess so someone could clear and pre-bus our table. At an upscale steakhouse, during a preplanned private event, that is unacceptable. The irony? The chef and kitchen were the bright spots. The chef was gracious and helpful, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, great food cannot overcome terrible hospitality. The worst part was the ending. Because service had been so slow, our birthday cake didn't arrive until around closing time. We sang Happy Birthday, Renee blew out her candles, and almost immediately the cake was packaged up and staff began breaking down the room around us. There was no opportunity to enjoy cake, coffee or after-dinner drinks. We didn't overstay our dinner. Clark's slow service pushed our dinner to closing--and then we were made to feel rushed because they were closing. After weeks of planning and arriving 45 minutes early to ensure everything was perfect, THAT is how this important birthday celebration ended. I intentionally waited several days to write this because I am not seeking a comp, refund, gift card or free meal. I simply want management and future diners to know about our experience. You're paying for hospitality, service and an experience. The food was approximately four stars. The experience was one. The service host was amazing! Parking was a breeze with valet. Less than $5 but don't forget to tip because they are doing their job while you eat. The bread basket was amazing. The raisin bread is my favorite I can eat a basket of the raisin bread alone. The salmon with the mash was delicious will order it again. (It's on the left side of the menu with no modifications but none are needed) For the beverage it was a spritz I forgot the name but 10/10 The ambiance is intimate with the low lights and don't forget your matches on the way out. read more

Clark's gives you that classic, old-school, high-end New York steakhouse feel the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is sophisticated and the décor is absolutely beautiful. The highlight of the evening was hands down the service. Armen was phenomenal--easily some of the best service I've ever experienced. He knew exactly what to recommend, made sure we never wanted for anything, and had such a fun, personable energy that made the experience even better. The shrimp cocktail was good, but I could pass next time. The carpaccio was my least favorite--I order it everywhere, and this one just lacked flavor. The steaks were amazing. The filet was cooked perfectly, the Pommes Anna melted in your mouth, and the creamed spinach was by far the best I've ever had. I visited Clark's Steakhouse on September 6, 2026, and unfortunately had an experience that was unacceptable from both a food-safety and customer-service standpoint. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. I ordered the burger, which came with shoestring fries. After eating roughly half of the fries, I put another one in my mouth and immediately felt a long, dark strand of hair hanging from my lip. When I removed it, I realized it was attached to the fry. I then used my phone's flashlight to inspect the plate and discovered another strand of hair tangled throughout the fries. I immediately called our server over, explained what had happened, and handed him the plate. He offered to have the fries remade, but after finding not one, but two hairs in my food, I had completely lost my appetite. What was especially disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment from management. In an experience involving a serious hygiene issue, I would expect, at minimum, for a manager to come to the table, apologize, and acknowledge the situation. No manager ever came over. This was particularly noticeable because we had seen management interacting with other tables throughout the evening. As a woman of color dining with other women of color, the lack of acknowledgment left me questioning whether our treatment was influenced by our demographic. I cannot say with certainty why no manager came to our table, but given what we observed throughout the evening, the difference in attention was noticeable. What made the situation even more concerning was what we had observed in the kitchen throughout the evening. We saw multiple women working in the kitchen wearing their hair in long ponytails without hair nets or other visible hair restraints. While I cannot say with certainty where the hairs in my food came from, seeing this immediately after finding two hairs in my fries raised serious concerns about the restaurant's food-handling and hygiene practices. For additional context, my own hair was slicked back that evening, making it highly unlikely that the long, loose strands found in my food came from me. I also recall being told that Clark's is part of the C&S Restaurant Family, which made the experience even more disappointing. I have had positive experiences at C&S Oyster Bar, so this interaction felt completely inconsistent with the level of hospitality I have come to associate with the brand. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Clark's Steakhouse. There are plenty of other steakhouses that offer better food, stronger attention to cleanliness and food safety, and much better customer service. After this experience, I would encourage anyone considering dining at Clark's to choose one of the many other steakhouses in the area instead. read more

My husband and I were looking forward to dinner at Clark's... unfortunately we left frustrated and hungry. Let's begin with the positives. The bartenders were fantastic! Very personable and patient. We order an appetizer and an entree. Our appetizer was delicious. The tuna tartar was seasoned very well. The potato chips were a nice touch, but not made on premises. As for our entree, after an hour wait, it finally arrive. To our disappointment, it was cold and dry. Our veggies were cold and under cooked . Our steak was dried out simply because it rested too long. We left without a meal. There was no manager apology, he just looked at us! The kind bartender, did provide us with a desert to go. Only to discover that the cake was not fresh! My husband is a retired chef and was the dean at one of the top culinary schools in Atlanta. We were shocked of the wait time and the food. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Clark's. We couldn't recommend this place for tasting or critics in Atlanta either. Had such a great experience at Clark's Steakhouse. The ambiance is beautiful- upscale and elegant, but still comfortable. The service was amazing too. Everyone was so attentive! You can tell they really pay attention to the details. One thing I thought was such a nice touch was that when making your reservation, you can preselect a bottle of wine and they'll have it aerated before you even arrive for dinner. It made the experience feel extra elevated in such a thoughtful way. And of course, the food & drinks were incredible. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I really wanted to love Clark's Steakhouse because it has so much potential. Let's start with the positives. The service from Jordan, Kenzie, and the rest of the bar staff was excellent. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. The wine list is also outstanding, with an impressive selection that rivals many of Atlanta's best steakhouses. Unfortunately, the food and overall experience didn't live up to the price point. The beef carpaccio had a strong fish-like taste instead of the clean, fresh beef flavor you'd expect. My bone-in New York strip arrived cold, and the potato purée was both soupy and cold as well. I mentioned these issues to the bar staff, who were apologetic, but what surprised me most was that no manager ever came over to check on our table or ask about our experience. At this level of dining, that's simply unacceptable. My biggest issue, however, had nothing to do with the food. One of the servers had such an overwhelming body odor that every time he walked by our table, it completely ruined the meal. It was impossible to ignore. Even more concerning, when it was mentioned, members of the bar staff laughed and said, "We know," suggesting this is an ongoing issue that management has chosen not to address. That was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. For the prices Clark's charges, I expect exceptional food, attentive management, and an overall polished dining experience. Sadly, this visit fell well short of those expectations. I won't be returning unless it is just for the bar. The food is great but our service was not good for the caliber of restaurant this is supposed to be. They split the wrong steaks and then made us split them ourselves on the table and trade with eachother. We then were served serveware for dessert without ordering any dessert yet, so then we felt as though we were expected to order dessert. Was going to try this place out for lunch on a Thursday. They do not allow anyone in with shorts (dress/golf shorts even). That's ridiculous for lunchtime - totally understandable for dinner. Even their direct competitors nearby allow shorts at lunch, which I'm now headed to. read more
