The is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. It feels hidden in plain sight- almost like a speakeasy. Inside is a massive, gorgeous restaurant! And wow it is SURE to impress! Great for date nights or special occasions. Everything on the menu is insane. Somehow I do not have a photo of my steak, but the cheesy potatoes (pommes dauphinoise) was insane!! So so good a must try. Escargot was another fav! Our server was so kind. We had never been before and he was great at explaining the menu and making the whole experience very enjoyable! I cannot wait to go back!

I came here for a lunch popup Marcel did that brought back their late-night burger and shakes! There's paid parking in the westside provisions deck and the line was long but it moved fairly quickly and I was very impressed by the staff and service given the volume of people that showed up for the popup! Inside, Marcel is very moody and classic steakhouse vibes. My friends and I were seated quickly and we all ordered the cheeseburger, 2 orders of fries with sauce to share, and chocolate shakes. The shakes came first and OMG THEY WERE SO GOOD!! I almost finished it before our meals arrived. The burger was also delicious and cooked perfectly well. And I adored the fries, they were perfectly skinny shoestring shaped and crispy. The bearnaise sauce to dip them in was also delicious. Overall, so glad I came to the popup (it lived up to the hype for sure) and now I want to come for a proper dinner!

Marcel is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. I walked in with high expectations and left a little underwhelmed. The lobster risotto was amazing and easily one of the best parts of the night. The chocolate cake was also a standout. Rich, indulgent, and worth it. It was my first time trying beef Wellington and the mushroom layer just wasn't for me. The steak itself was fine, but for the price, it didn't feel worth it. I was also expecting more from the pommes dauphinoise. The French onion soup was solid but overhyped in my opinion. Overall, I'd only recommend this restaurant in Atlanta if you're coming specifically for the lobster risotto and chocolate cake, or if you're here for the vibes and a luxe night out. Marcel is known for being one of the best steakhouses in Atlanta, so I might have to try their other cuts next time!

Very nice spot. Extremely pricey and very nice service. You get a feel of old New Orleans feel or back in the 1920s flappers bar but no smoke and no music. It's more elegant style and dimmed lighting. There's a whole book menu on bottles of wine, the bread service is very delicious, and everything is presented very lovely. Food is just ok. For the price. I want everything to be the best of the best. But I've had better risotto and better steak. I didn't mind theirs don't get me wrong but you're paying more for the ambience and vibes. Service was very nice when they came around. If not, very slow and non existent for main server. He was only there to take my order and our check. Everything else was done by the other team member who was his partner serving drinks, taking plates away, talking with us more to give a better experience. Which we enjoyed him. I don't know if I'd go back as it's just not justified to me but had a nice time.

I love Marcel. The food, the service, the ambiance-- never disappoints. We ordered the lobster risotto which to me is the best kept secret on the menu. Hefty portion packing so much flavor. We also ordered the strip which needed more seasoning in my opinion. I will say the servers do have really long scripts that could sometimes get in the way of conversation, but everything is elegant, upscale, and worth every penny. Must try in Atlanta!

I came here for a girls' night, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we've had. The food was delectable, the ambiance was unique and enjoyable, and the staff was incredibly exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Enjoyed a group dining birthday dinner experience. We sat at the long table by the bar in the back and had a preset menu with wine. Apps family style such as shrimp, crab, bread, and mushrooms. We had an option of steak, red fish, or a vegetarian pasta. Desert was a tarte. We started with martinis and migrated to red. ~$250 each with tax and tip.

To review Marcel's is easy... it's elegant, beautiful experience and the food is exceptional good quality. The service is made the experience even better. The care they put into setting up the tables and waiting on you throughout your dinner so nothing short of amazing. I will be back. The lobster risotto was one of the best I've ever had. A great shrimp cocktail and the fish of the day was snapper and made Oscar style 1000/10!!!

Sat at the bar and loved the dark, jazzy steakhouse vibe--the atmosphere was a standout. Drinks were great, and the steak, potatoes, and salad were excellent. Unfortunately, the mussels and shrimp appetizers were disappointing, and service at the bar wasn't great. Overall, the food and ambiance made it worth it, but some inconsistencies kept it from being a full five stars.

Did the New Year's Eve prix fixe at Marcel with a late reservation for four. We were welcomed with Champagne while waiting for our table, which was a nice touch--though the wait itself (about 30 minutes) was the least enjoyable part since the place was packed. Once seated, the experience really took off. Our server, Kevin, was excellent--super knowledgeable, walked us through the menu and pairings, and even shared a bit of Marcel's history. The first course was a win across the board: caviar, raw oysters, crab mayonnaise, and steak tartare. Everything was fresh and flavorful, especially the tartare, which melted in your mouth. I followed the drink pairings, which meant plenty of Champagne. Second course included escargot, prawns, scallops, and stewed beef cheek, paired with a velvety Cabernet Sauvignon. Not usually an escargot fan, but it was solid. The beef cheek was the standout--tender, juicy, and rich, with oxtail-like flavors. Easily my favorite bite of the night. We had to leave before midnight to catch fireworks at the Signia Hotel, so the remaining courses came home with us: Salade Marcel, a huge 30oz tomahawk steak, jumbo lump crab cake, broccolini, and au gratin potatoes. All of it reheated beautifully the next day. No dessert this time, unfortunately. Shoutout to the chef for stopping by our table. Even with the short wait and early exit, this was a great New Year's Eve meal. I'll definitely be back.

Came here for the burger pop up. I haven't eaten it before but heard it was good. It definitely lived up to the hype. I chilled at the bar and just spent time soaking in the vibes. This was a really nice experience and I looked forward to trying dinner.

I am honestly so glad I even got to come to Marcel. It always been a little out of my price point but they did a one day 2 hour walk in only lunch special with their late night cheese burger pop up and I am so glad we came. We had to wait about 20 minutes in line but once we were in, we were in! Super simple menu - Cheeseburger or hamburger, fries to share and vanilla or chocolate milkshake. We all got cheese burgers and chocolate milkshakes and 2 sides of fries for 3 people to share. The cheese burger was to die for and just melt in your mouth delicious. The bernaise with the fries was great and the chocolate shake? Just wow it was so delicious. If they ever did this again I would love to come! I also now have the itch to come to Marcel for a normal dinner.

Food was good, great service by Eric and Todd. Food is pricey for the portions but normal steak house dinner. The ambiance is very dim but perfect for a romantic evening. Scampi: 5/5 Caesar Salad: 3/5 Boring Pomme Dauphnoise: 3/5 Too Cheesy Coute De Bouf: 4/5 Cooked well, needed a little more salt. Perfect for sharing, Asparagus: 3/5 Cooked well, tasted like a liquid smoke was used to flavor, kinda heavy. Mushrooms: 4/5 Bread Seevice: 5/5 Apple Cake: 5/5 Baked Alaska: 4/5

Is there self-parking on the property or a parking deck nearby?

Yes there is a parking deck within walking distance from Marcel.

    Is it kid friendly?

I don't think they would turn children away but it's more on the dimly lit, romantic end of the spectrum. I'd leave the kids at home for this one. They've got Chuck E Cheese

I want to schedule a dinner with colleagues after a conference but we are all accountable to different expense accounts. Will the waiter issue individual checks for a table of 6? What's the most?

I would say it shouldn't be an issue but call them to double check

Can you eat at the bar?

    Yes you can!!

    Is cigar smoking permitted inside?

    No.

What's the name of the flat fritter looking bread they serve here?

I believe that you are referring to the focaccia that they make and it is part of the bread service

What is the average wait time to dine-in?

It would recommend getting a reservation to avoid this issue. If you cannot, their bar is quite the place or you can go to Ormsby's (a bar with bocce and other games), Little Trouble (a sci fi bar), or Puttshack (indoor miniature golf) to pass some… Read more

Does Marcel have outdoor or patio dining?

Yes they do. They have a wood fire place out there to cut the chill off of you. They do have some heaters. But if its windy out- forget it.

Is this place appropriate for (well-behaved) tweens and teens?

Yes. I had a well behaved 4 year old with me.

    Any dress code?

No, I saw a lot of people in regular casual attire, We dressed up a bit but nothing too fancy.

We were there celebrating our engagement, and they made it feel so special by decorating our table with rings and confetti to celebrate our love. Our server gave us so much attention and made the experience feel personal. Since it was our first time there, they took the time to walk us through some of the best items on and off the menu, and shared their favorite dishes. Everything was done with care. The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was amazing, and the food was worth every dollar. The short rib was so tender, and the New York strip was seasoned to perfection and cooked medium well just how we like it. I also appreciated that they allowed me to order it without the roasted saltine crackers. I can't wait to visit again!

Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!

Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem.
