My only complaint was the steak i ordered was just mediocre for the cost. I ordered medium rare and it was medium with just ok flavor. Last night in Atlanta called for something unforgettable. We had an outstanding dinner at Cut Steakhouse in downtown Atlanta, the perfect way to wrap up my trip. The highlight? A rich and buttery escargot that melted in my mouth--elegant, flavorful, and absolutely worth savoring. Had to order two because where I live, restaurants don't offer this deliciousness. For entree I had a delicious pasta with clans, shrimp, lobster tail, calamari, I can recall the name but it's in their today's menu. The hubby ordered a deliciously grilled salmon loin with cauliflower puree, he was happy with his selection. For dessert, a deliciously smooth crème brûlée--silky custard with that perfect caramelized crunch on top. It was a solid 3.5, but the exceptional service that we received from the waiter bumped up my rating. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Parking was available along the side of the building for about $9 an hour. There's a parking garage nearby as well. We had a party of 8 for a birthday celebration. Complimentary bread was served. I ordered a blueberry lemon drop that was decent. For my appetizer, I got a crab cake. It was delicious and had very little filling. For my entree, I had the surf and turf. It came with filet mignon and a fried lobster tail. It also came with a small side of mashed potatoes and spinach. David might've been the best server I've had in a year. He was so on top of every question that we had. As an example, the stake came with a garlic, mashed potato, I'm not a big garlic fan... So David brought out a sample so I would feel comfortable. That's service. With some wine with this bacon maple whiskey bites that were unbelievable. Really great find in the area. Have been looking for a good steakhouse in this area of Metro Atlanta and finally found one that would worth a return trip. The inside is clean and inviting. Has more of a modern feel than an old timey steakhouse feel. I went with the ribeye that came out perfectly to order. The rest of my table also received their steaks perfectly to order as well. Steak was well prepped and seasoned and perfect without the addition of any sauces or seasonings. The mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, and sautéed spinach sides were all really great. It was a great experience, and the customer service from Kevin & Cynthia certainly enhanced our experience. They both were extremely knowledgeable, attentive and very engaged with us. I must admit we weren't as impressed as we'd expected to be based on visits to other steakhouses. But it was a great experience, nonetheless. It was more pricier than any of the other restaurants as well, which we found quite interesting. Cuts is excellent, the staff, the food, ambiance, all amazing. We were able to eat on the patio with minimal wait at 7:30pm. Perfect weather. Most ordered cocktails, a group of us ordered a bottle of Argentine Malbec wine, and an eventually a second. Everyone had steaks 5 Ribeyes had a nice crust at medium rare little more medium than rare, but great flavor with truffle butter on tops. One New York strip, again slightly more medium than rare but the crust and taste made up for it. 1 petite filet, absolutely perfect, medium rare done just right. Sides included a baked potato, asparagus, whipped garlic potatoes, and creamed spinach. The deserts were amazing as well, the table shared a decadent mousse...cake, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and brownie in a signature dish. A great way to finish a great dinner. Look, there are a lot of pretentious places trying to get your business (or turn it away), take your business here and be super happy. Worth every penny and we will be back. read more

This was our first time dining at Cuts Atlanta and certainly well not be our last. The restaurant is beautiful it's the old Steak & Ale that has been dressed up to be a beautiful elegant downtown steakhouse. Our service team was excellent. A male and female team that complimented one and other very well. The specials were described beautifully and the presentation of the steak board was so cool. We got a couple salads to start and they were wonderful. The iceberg wedge salad was piled high with crisp cool lettuce, (in a chilled salad bowl) beautiful cherry tomatoes, bacon, and lots of blue cheese crumbles. The pickled beet and arugula salad crafted with a big high pile of arugula, with goat cheese crumbles, a fried goat cheese fritter, and beautiful bright red pickled beats. The real stars of the show were the entree's. Let start with the 13oz High Choice NY Strip. Broiled to a perfect Medium Rare, seasoned to perfection, and served with there compound butter that was the perfect addition to the steak. The steak was tender and flavorful and was just delicious. Next was there Upper Choice Ribeye. Again seasoned perfectly, cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and flavorful. Every last bite was consumed with very happy consumers enjoying every last bite. Next the broiled lobster tail. This tail was broiled perfectly, served with drawn butter and grilled lemon. The last dish to mention was the chef's daily fish special. Regional trout with crispy skin, stuffed with crab meat and hollandaise sauce. It was a perfectly cooked piece of trout and made a delicious entree. Lastly their desserts. What an amazing selection of desserts. From creamy crème brûlée, peach cobbler, chocolate cake, and a strawberry sunday. First, let me start by saying that the Cuts Suwanee location in Gwinnett County is my usual spot, and after this experience, I won't be "cheating" on them again. The Suwanee location truly sets the standard and should serve as the example and training model for all staff. My boyfriend and I visited the Downtown Atlanta location on Valentine's Day. Surprisingly, it wasn't very crowded. Our first impression wasn't the best. We're accustomed to valet service at the Suwanee location, and while we understood that valet may not be feasible downtown, it did set a different tone from the start. We had a 6:00 PM reservation through OpenTable, but when we arrived, the host insisted our reservation was for 3:00 PM and said it would be a few minutes before we could be seated, suggesting we wait at the bar. This was awkward and a bit embarrassing, but we decided to go along with it to avoid starting the evening on a negative note. We ended up sitting near the bar in a corner with open tables, which turned out to be fine given that the Downtown location is much smaller than Suwanee. Our waiter brought tap water and asked if we'd like to order appetizers. At Suwanee, bottled or sparkling water is typically offered right away, so we had to ask for that ourselves before placing our appetizer order. Shortly after, we placed our dinner order. Unfortunately, the timing of service became very frustrating. We watched at least three tables near us -- who arrived 30 minutes or more after we did -- receive their food before us. Guests seated at the bar after we arrived were also served before we were. We waited over 90 minutes for our entrées. When the food finally arrived, it did not meet expectations. The medium-rare steak, asparagus, and mac and cheese lacked flavor and seasoning. The cornbread was cold and hard. The shrimp with BBQ sauce and collard greens was the highlight of the meal, and the wedge salad was ok, but overall, the dishes just did not hit the mark. Our waiter was kind and professional but had no clear answers about the delay. He even mentioned that he had placed the order nearly an hour and a half earlier. Considering the restaurant was not overly busy -- even for Valentine's Day -- the wait was disappointing. The manager did come out to address our concerns. He was polite, apologetic, and accommodating. After speaking with him, our food arrived about 10 minutes later. While we appreciated his efforts, the overall experience left us unhappy. We truly enjoy Cuts, especially the Suwanee location, but this visit to the Downtown Atlanta restaurant did not reflect the high standard we've come to expect. read more

I was here with two other coworkers on a mundane Wednesday in the summer. The restaurant was half full at our arrival. I have mixed reviews, though. I think our server was doing her best, but she may have been over served. We had spots of 20 minutes with no contact, which is UNACCEPTABLE for a restaurant charging a mandatory 20% tip and $240 tomahawk steaks. I had the salmon and it was spot on. My cohorts had steaks and they were mid. If you're gonna add a mandatory 20% "gratuity", just raise your prices bro. This "it's not a gratuity it's a service fee" is BS. Two stars for that reason. Overall it was very good based on the number of people they had to serve. The place is very large overall and the bar looked nice even though I didn't try any cocktails. The place is located in the city and in walking distance of multiple hotels. Would like to come back and try it again since mass cooking of steaks is never the right way to try a steak place. Shrimp was small and the bourbon bacon is pork belly. Not what I was expecting. Order the 16oz ribeye. It was so chewy, fatty. very thin and rare when I asked for medium. The waiter never came to check so no way to complain. The sides are very small we ordered the family size sides. Foot vegetables were dried out. The pimento Mac and cheese was so gloppy and garlic mashed needed salt. We could not get drinks replenished. The cheesecake was grainy and mushy. I don't know how is even has 3.5 stars.
