I went to GA to hang out with my mom and on Sunday my siblings, mom and I went to Good Kitchen at my sister in loves suggestion. She knows I have food allergies and she wanted to find something that would accommodate me (love her for that)!! So this spot is small but nice!! They have outdoor seating for those who like that kind of thing (I don't like sharing my food with insects) I was pleasantly impressed with the care and pride that they take in the food and service that they provide. I ordered avocado breakfast bowl with a gluten free pancake and turmeric chai latte...everything was delicious!!! Our server was great and so sweet. I the food was good, Alex did a great job serving and the ambiance was popping. The avocado toast was tasty and filling. The downside was the host as she was not familiar with the process or at least it was the perception. People were getting seated and there was little to no communications. She never asked me for my name or anything but was keeping track of the people. Very confusing the seating situation. I spoke with the manager (owner) and told her about my experience and how to prevent additional confusion for the first timers. She was great and very apologetic. Met my former business coach here so we could catch up etc. The place is quaint so if it were busier than when were there, there would be a wait. There's seating outside as an alternative if weather permits. I ordered a Restore fresh pressed juice and it was strong! Definitely fresh! It did its job! Lol! I also ordered a Thai Stir Fry bowl with no protein and shared it with my little one. It was very tasty and the dressing with it was perfect! If I would've added the chicken, my bowl would've been beyond a 10 on a scale of 1-10. My business coach ordered a beautiful latte and the Autumn seasonal item of the Rosemary chicken with sautéed spinach and mashed butternut squash. My little one loved the butternut squash and the chicken looked good. I also assume it was delicious since my lunch partner kept saying how good it was and the plate was clean lol The establishment is clean, modern, and earth conscious which I love. Just discovered Good Kitchen, always looking for great coffee and healthy food. We had the avocado bowl and the loaded avocado toast with a side of hashed browns, and boy it was amazing! This coming from someone who loves making breakfast including specialty lattes (got the yummy Churro Latte; superb!), but was really just being lazy on a Saturday morning: totally worth it. First time here and came ad a walk-in on a late Saturday morning. We were looking for a place with more healthy options when eating out and that is really hard to come by. When we arrived we were able to be seated and started with drinks within a few minutes. The menu definitely had healthy options we were looking for but nothing super creative. I decide to try the Mahi tacos based on the servers recommendation. They came out quickly and were nice and hot. As for taste, it was not really pleasant. The fish was way overcooked and instead of tasting blackened, all you can taste was salt. Disappointing because I love fish tacos. I stopped in to this location as a first timer. It was busy and populated with lots of customers eating and getting "to go" orders. There are several options with the menus for every type of diet. I loved the colorful book provided to see the dishes on the menu as well. I started with an iced Margaret Avenue Latte. So delicious! It was so refreshing and just a creamy taste on your palate. For lunch I ordered the coconut current bowl with salmon. It was a colorful and well portion dish. I would Prefer my salmon cooked medium but it wasn't offered and in fairness I didn't ask. We recently visited and it did not disappoint. We opted to sit outside and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We started off ordering a mocha coffee and a restore juice. Both were really good drinks. We also ordered a chicken sausage burrito, carnivore bowl with an extra side of chicken sausage and a side of hash browns. Everything was super fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was great! This place is such a gem. My daughter and I went here for breakfast. The place is clean and quiet. No loud music. There's even a small area for young children to play while waiting. There was no wait for us at all. Luke was our server and was so kind. We had menus and a Look Book which helped my daughter see what each menu item would look like. Very helpful for picky eaters. We didn't wait very long for our food at all. The veggie bowl AMAZING. Normally I add salt and pepper but it was not needed at all. My daughter devoured her carnivore bowl. The matcha latte was okay. The drink special wasn't available so they created a new drink for me (lavender lemonade). Also, they explained the brew or wine flights ($15). I decided on the Avocado BLT salad for a heavier lunch. I added an egg for my protein instead of chicken, salmon or steak. When you add proteins the costs can get pricey. Everything was delicious and other patrons were super friendly. This location is smaller compared to Marietta however it's well lit, cozy and perfect place to get a healthier meal in downtown Smyrna. I plan to pop in more often and bring some friends! read more

A central meeting point was Smyrna, and luckily, I found Good Kitchen with some vegan options. There's another location in Marietta, too. PARKING There's a parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. AMBIANCE The restaurant is clean and bright. The decor is modern-rustic. SERVICE The employees greeted us upon entrance and quickly sat us at a booth. The server was very attentive and amiable. FOOD/DRINK * Pour Over Coffee: I ordered this and was pleasantly surprised they brought a whole Chemex contraption. I use a Chemex at home, so I'm all about it! Aesthetics. * Loaded Avocado Toast: I ordered this as my main breakfast. The toast was thick and topped with chili campana, balsamic glaze, avocado crema, and microgreens. The toast was okay. It could've used a few minutes longer in the toaster. The loaded ingredients were delicious, albeit it needed some salt. * Sweet Potato Hash: This side was a miss for me and my friend. The sweet potato hash was undercooked inside. It was a bit soggy, too. We asked for extra crispy, but the outside was slightly burned and unevenly cooked. * Pancakes: The pancakes were delicious!! I enjoyed the whipped butter and syrup that accompanied the dish. No complaints. Overall, there are a lot of healthy options at Good Kitchen. Our waitress talked to us about the growth plans and then we met one of the owners who gave us even more detail. This is their second restaurant but the first that is built in this floor plan that is sort of half coffee bar and half eatery. What makes this place so great? (1) they bring you a picture book if you're a first timer to get a visual of the food and learn a bit of the story. (2) there are tons of vegan and veggie options!! This is a menu built with a variety of diets and health needs in mind. (3) cornmeal pancakes--yum! (4) the restaurant is clean, bright, and inviting with a clear walking path. Only complaint: mom didn't like the coffee (just a regular cup of drip coffee, served black). This particular restaurant is the concept model for the next location which will be in Columbus, OH. We've already put in an unofficial bid for the next location to be in Florissant, MO. I have stopped in a few times since their grand opening and never found it difficult to find parking. When you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by staff behind the counter. The seating options include both inside and outside. However, the outside seating is limited. The menu at Good Kitchen is a true testament to their commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients . The variety of dishes offered cater to a range of palates and dietary preferences, making it an ideal dining destination for all. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or vegan, there is something for everyone! One of my favorite dishes is the salmon plate. I had high hopes for this place. As it's right down the street from my place of work and I've been wanting to order breakfast from here. Unfortunately my visit was less than enjoyable. I ordered a veggie bowl with salmon. Upon arrival back to work, I take off the top to notice there is a hair sitting right on top of my salmon. Already not pleasant. The veggie bowl is supposed to come with sautéed kale, peppers and onions, no where on the menu did it say anything about spaghetti squash or sweet potatoes, I couldn't tell which it was on my bowl but it tasted sweet which is throwing off the entire dish. There was SOOOOO much of whatever this was, I didn't like it at all and was expected exactly what the description said. Eggs, peppers, onions, kale, cheese. Nothing more. The salmon that I added was absolutely hammered, just overcooked beyond anything I would eat, plus with the hair on top, I'd rather not. I also ordered one of there juices called the Restore, for $6 I could have done without. It had so much pulp that it didn't even want it. I was done with it in minutes because it's so small. Not worth the price. Overall I spent $28+ for food that I could have gone without. Again Not worth the price at all. The ambience: it's a small restaurant, friendly staff, but a lot of staff for the space. All the waiters, waitresses were all huddled in the front doing nothing but talking to each other the whole 20 mins I was there waiting on my to go order. I mean, logistics wise, money out of the door when they clearly don't even have anything to do. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. I just wanted what I ordered. Loved this place, they use all organic ingredients except for their bread. They use butter instead of unhealthy seed oils too! I'll definitely be back to order takeout. The loaded avacado toast was delicious, as were the scrambled egg and hash browns. Hash browns were cooked in butter which was appreciated. I was filled up for $14. The food was a bit slow for mostly empty tables and the server initially priced my meal at over $20. I told her it wasn't right and I was charged $3 for the hash browns which should have came with the meal and $4 for the egg instead of the $2 listed on the menu. My wife and I came here for breakfast after the Jonquil Jog through downtown Smyrna. We had our dogs with us, so we sat at one of the outside tables on a beautiful spring day. The service was outstanding. Our server brought water for our very thirsty dogs. The food was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the avocado bacon bowl. Wow, was this good. The combination of bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, avocado, and cheese was perfect. My wife had an avocado and bacon breakfast burrito (seeing a trend here?). She thoroughly enjoyed it. The veggie burrito was very good. Filling and tasty. "Fresh" juices are premade and they probably settled out in the container as the tumeric ginger orange juice tasted just of orange. The carrot apple kale lemon just tasted of carrot. They should start mixing/swirling the pitchers before pouring. My mom asked for eggs scrambled extra hard and emphasized this with the server but when they arrived they were not cooked to her specifications at all. While it tasted good, my burrito arrived sitting in a puddle of liquid on my plate. It was also cut in half diagonally but most of the eggs were on one side and the toppings on the other so not the ideal configuration for eating. Hashbrowns were undercooked, mushy and completely unseasoned. Totally inedible. Our server was a little inattentive but I will say that another server overheard us talking about our drinks and did ask if there was anything she could do. read more

I am giving them 3 stars because things have changed a bit with the food preparation after the head cook from their Marietta kitchen has taken over the Smyrna location. I loved this place and the staff is amazing and accommodating. Unfortunately, the last 3 visits were not as great as far as the food preparation. The current chefs over saturate the food with ghee and sauces. And the once fluffy, scrambled eggs are cooked a flat square as seen in a fast food restaurant when placing eggs on a breakfast sandwich. What I used to love about this place was how the food was prepared. You knew you were getting clean eats. Now it is saturated in ghee and other sauces. I even purchased their Thai crunch bowl and few days back and it was saturated with the ginger sauce. To much takes away from the taste. Today, a placed an online order and specified in the comments to use light ghee and to scramble the eggs fluffy and when I arrived the bowl was greasy and the eggs were cooked in that square just like the prior week. Each time the staff had to have him to remake the item. And the staff is beyond accommodating. The remade items came out perfectly. Unfortunately, I do know if I will frequent like I once have since this is their knew way of preparing this. Of course, I don't want to become an annoyance to myself, the establishment or staff, by requesting something they will no longer be doing. read more

I love having another healthy food option in Smyrna. We've only eaten in once but ordered pickup a bunch of times. When we dined in, the service was nice and efficient. They've recently changed their hours and aren't open in the evenings anymore, with a focus on breakfast/brunch at this location. The Marietta location remains open in the evening. The prices are a bit high, even for healthy food. Especially for salads which I compare to another healthy fave, Kale Me Crazy, whose salads have good ingredients with lots of toppings and are slightly cheaper. For me, I highly enjoy their breakfast options, especially the crispy hash browns. I've had some salads and lunch bowls and wasn't impressed with the flavors so I'll stick to breakfast. One of the best things about Good Kitchen recipes s the kids menu. You get a good amount of food for a really fair price. My kids usually get the (grilled) chicken tenders with hash browns, carrots or cucumbers, and fruit. If you order online, don't forget to add the kids mousse which comes with the meal. read more
