Trust me you may need to take a walk after you partake in the Delicious dishes served. I was greeted right away and had the option of a table or patio seating, although it was a nice morning I chose to stay inside to dine. My table was right by the bar. Other guests were sitting at the bar having a lively conversation, but not too loud where it disturbed others. All staff was helpful and friendly Saniya took great care of me. Started with Caramel Coffee-J added 2 hazelnut and 1 vanilla cream.. no need for sugar.. this coffee was divine. Scanned over the menu.. I decided on the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler--scrambled eggs, spinach, bacon, onions, topped with Monterey Jack cheese..I added mushrooms. Nice blend of everything scrambled just right. Omelette and Scramblers served with choice of grits or potatos and a English muffin. I got the grits.. they were nice and creamy. Wow, we were SO disappointed. Our waitress was nice and attentive, the only reason I am giving this 2 stars. We expected more from a restaurant in Vinings. We waited about 20-25 minutes. Got to the table and the cushion we sit on was so torn up on the top. This should have been our first warning. Next they brought a high chair. I cleaned it with a wet wipe, which started as a white wet wipe and ended up being gray and nasty and I only wiped the upper half of the highchair. I had the Shrimp Benny which was served on grilled focaccia bread, but it came really soggy and had a large piece of an eggshell in my poached egg. The shrimp was nicely cooked. Spouse had a gravy biscuit dish and it barely had any gravy and ordered an upgraded grits bowl that came with burnt bacon and served lukewarm and fried chicken tenders that was so hard that they couldn't be eaten. Everything about this experience needs improvement. Let me start by saying -- the wait to be seated wasn't the issue. It was a Sunday, and that's expected. We were prepared to be patient. But once we sat down, that's when everything went downhill. We waited nearly two hours for our food. During that time, the manager came to our table to inform us that the restrooms were experiencing plumbing issues and that if we chose to stay, we would not be able to use them -- or we were free to leave. At that point, after already waiting so long, leaving didn't feel like a real option. We decided to stay and hoped the meal would make it worthwhile. Unfortunately, it didn't. When the food finally arrived, it was one degree away from being cold . After a two-hour wait, that was incredibly disappointing. There was no freshness, no wow factor -- just frustration. To make matters worse, the manager initially told us we would only have to pay for our drinks due to the experience. However, that wasn't honored. Instead, we were given 50% off the food. While a discount is appreciated, it wasn't what was communicated, and that added to the disappointment. For a well-known restaurant, this was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've ever had. We came here yesterday (Sunday) with family members that were visiting from Miami. We put our name down for the wait list and we were told it would be 25 minutes. Well that was a lie because we waited way longer than that to get the text message to let us know our table was being set up. When we got out table, our waitress was very attentive. We placed our orders while drinking and the nightmare started. For starters the manager told us the restroom would be out of service all of a sudden. Then time went on by and the food was nowhere to be seen or found. We asked to have our waitress called because she disappeared for a long while. We asked her to bring the manager to our table. She was I have to say at least nice to talk to and apologetic. She advised us we wouldn't be charged for the food just only the drinks. We didn't get our food until 2ish pm and in the section we sat at all that remained was our table and the other table like ours on the other end. Everyone else had eaten, came and went. When they food was brought, my crab cake wasn't that hot, the gumbo tasted good but it wasn't super hot either. The rest of the food everyone had ordered was not up to what they expected. The chicken was tasteless, the waffle wasn't that good. Needless to say we waited such a long time for nothing. The manager then told us we would get 50% off of our foods for the inconvenience. That had changed from what she told us originally. So in spite of all of that we still had to pay for food that wasn't good or impressive. My partner had ordered another drink that wasn't brought to him before we left almost. Our waitress had told us earlier that it was being done and that wasn't the case. We decided to try their location in Vinings on Paces Ferry Road (across from the Fire Station). You walk into this location and immediately see a hostess station on the left and a bar in the right side near the entrance. There were several guests seated at the bar waiting for take-out orders. They have outside seating at the back of the restaurant. They offer both tables and booths in the main dining area. We asked for a booth and a friendly server came to get our drink orders. I ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich. It is fried chicken tenders, an over easy egg covered with sausage gravy on large biscuit. For my side, I opted for the City Grits. These were the highlight of my brunch. The breakfast sandwich that was delivered to me was a very overcooked egg (browned egg whites with completely cooked yolk). What is the use of an egg sandwich served on a biscuit if you can't let runny egg yolk run all over the biscuit. Not sure why a restaurant that specializes in breakfast and brunch dishes can't properly cook an over easy egg!!!! My better half ordered the Classic Bacon Burger and she really enjoyed her burger. For her side, she tried the country potatoes which were plain with no seasoning and not much flavor. The potatoes were also cool and appeared to have been sitting in a warming tray for a long time. The lady next to me receives her to-go order and complains that the coffee is cold. The bartender says "they poured it in the back, I didn't pour it". She lacked customer service to offer to replace the cold coffee. The woman get's up and simply leaves. My food and coffee arrives, she drops it off to me, with no words. She immediately turns to bring me my bill, overly enthusiastic and "nice" wishing me a nice rest of my day. Which of course is to get a tip. I've learned not to tip based on service, but because it's the right thing to do. Unless the service is extremely horrible. I've frequented this restaurant on numerous occasions and always had amazing service, but this woman forgot she is at work, in the customer service industry, and I am a paying customer, not one of her "homegirls". I would choose that location every time as our server was attentive and service was fast, coffee refilled often and its pretty cool watching the drinks prepared. The menu is creative! So many tasty options listed- it was hard to decide but the Fish was my "try". Very tasty- but I did not like the grits. They were a little mushy and needed salt.
