    Chicken salad on croissant

Stopped here to work in the afternoon, cute patio especially. They don't have a ton of outlets which is a little upsetting but I made it work, they also closed earlier than they had online which sucks. But this was a good chicken salad sandwich! I would 100% get this again, also loved the criossiant bread! The coffee here is basic so if your going for coffee, I'd say go somewhere else but for a snack / quick bite I would def come here.

Avocado Toast with seared tuna. I liked this.

A cute bistro in the Vinings Jubilee shopping center. I don't really make it to this part of the metro very often, but this area is rife with summer camp opportunities for the kids, you know. Anyway, I was poking around and needed a snack. Inside, there's a nice and shady dining room that is a welcome respite from the blazing Georgia sun. If desired, you can sit outside under some shady umbrellas. It's quiet and peaceful. Ordering happens at the bar, and they bring it out to your table pretty quickly, I noticed. Service is cogenial. There seemed to be a good bunch of regulars in the place, considering the tone of overheard conversations. The menu is friendly and on the lighter, brunchier side of things. I ordered an avocado toast, which came out with a side salad, pickled onions, everything bagel seasoning, and some kind of soy-based dressing. As an extra, I ordered the seared tuna to adorn the whole thing. It was maybe 20 bucks with a soda. So, I really like avocado toast and I make it myself sometimes. I'm a millenial, sue me. But mine is now officially boring after tasting this recipe. It's a really solid item, and I would return to Pharr just to eat this item. Anyway, Pharr is a pleasant stop if you're doing some shopping and want a light lunch.

Probably the best salad I've ever had. The dressing is delicious. Friendly counter service.

    Roast beef wrap

First time coming to this cafe and unfortunately it was very underwhelming experience for the price of the food. The positives were I was able to order quickly with no line, the porch and cafe interior are nice. The quality of the roast beef for what I could taste was good. They give you two little yogurt rolls that were good. The guy that helped me was nice. Improvement wise, my spinach wrap that was an upgrade option from a roast beef sandwich consisted of one slice of roast beef, a LOT of lettuce and a half sliced tomato. That was it. Traditionally, I expect more meat and maybe throw in some cheese with a pickle. I think the price of the wrap was not a match. $10.99 was entirely too expensive for what was received. The person behind the cash register was not wearing a mask at all so may want to either change the Covid guidelines listed or have employees wear the mask. I've heard other things are good here but for me I'll probably go somewhere with a bit more value.

I've always liked going to cafe at pharr for some of their traditional chicken salad sandwiches and salads for lunch but this time I wanted to mix it up and came for brunch and tried the avocado tuna toast! It was banging! Imagine a hybrid of seared tuna combined with avocado toast and the result was incredible. Melt in your mouth tuna with the combination of fresh veggies and crisp toast was a great way to start your day, also leaving you feeling good because it's all healthy. So glad this new location is here! Will be my local go to spot

Love this place! Super friendly staff. I had the BLT sandwich that was so fresh and paired it with an amazing Cafe Mocha.

Ok. Put a plate of greens and veggies in front of me and then a nice, healthy helping of incredible chicken salad and I'll be your best friend. Cafe at Pharr has some of the most simplistically executed recipes and iterations of chicken salad(s) that I've had, but they are so perfectly simple and delicious. Came in for lunch and started with a cup of the chicken noodle soup. It only comes in one size, just so you know you don't have to choose between a cup, bowl, jug, whatever. It was pretty textbook. Nothing too far out of the ordinary, weird, complicated, etc. It's just hearty chicken noodle, brosef. Then, the salad plate. Greens, carrots, grapes, tomatoes, and some of the tastiest curry chicken salad I've ever had. The chicken salad is so fine, but still retaining thickness, that it's spreadable. It's creamy, but not in a gross way like some chicken salads are -- AKA they don't go overboard with mayo. To add onto this flavor train, the dressing they give you on the side is rather magical. It's a semi-sweet, ginger dressing. I can't put my finger on the entire flavor profile, but it is perfect. I used it in moderation to not overpower any of the other flavors, but man they do it right. I can see that working on a multitude of dishes. I'm really digging Cafe at Pharr. It's a healthy choice and they do one of my favorite things perfectly. Well done, folks. Keep it coming.

    Walnut chicken salad!

I've been coming here for years and it's my mom and my favorite place to go for a quick lunch! The owners are lovely and food is delicious. I recommend the walnut chicken salad sandwich, and make SURE to get the yogurt roll with it (they come with the meal) - they are SO delicious!!!

I had the spinach bacon and egg salad today with a tasty matcha on their patio and it was great. Highly recommend.

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.

The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and our waitress did an awesome job handling such a large party. She stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of all night. After dinner, we decided to check out the speakeasy through the freezer door--Eleanor's--and unfortunately, that's where the experience took a turn. The atmosphere itself was nice--semi-dark with a cool concept--but it could definitely lean more into a darker, more immersive speakeasy vibe. The bigger issue, though, was the service. It was night and day compared to upstairs. The waitress came across as rude and unwelcoming from the start. A few of us sat down in a small corner area with an L-shaped bench and some extra chairs we had to pull over ourselves. Obviously, with 12 people, there was no way we were all fitting there, yet she insisted she wouldn't take any drink orders until everyone was seated. That made no sense, especially since there was standing room and even a bar-height table available. To make matters worse, there was zero acknowledgment of the birthday--not even a simple "happy birthday," which felt like a missed opportunity given the occasion. When we asked about Fireball shots, the response was a blunt "um, no," followed by "you can have water," as she started filling glasses. That pretty much summed up the vibe we got. Not sure if this is typical service down there or just an off night, but it was enough to make us decide we wouldn't come back to the speakeasy. Bottom line: If you're in the area, definitely check out Muss & Turner's for dinner--it's worth it. But I'd skip Eleanor's and save your time and money.
