On my mission to find other salad bar shops that aren't Salata, I stopped by Original ChopShop to try out their offerings. I saw they had a kale Caesar salad and was like immediately yes. I walked in looking for the typical setup of a person asking you what you want but instead it's computer kiosks for you to enter your order. That's okay, i guess, but I'm so used to a person actually fixing my salad in front of me and asking if a particular topping is too much, not enough, etc. Any extra toppings have an up charge. My salad was okay. I wish i had thought to tell them i needed more than one dressing though because my salad ended up being dry. Another something that is typically solved with a person prepping your order in front of you. It's okay, i get it especially if you have staffing shortages. I may return, we'll see. read more

The staff was very helpful when they saw that we were taking a bit longer the young lady came out and explained the menu. Once we placed our ordered we sat down as they brought the meals to us. They have all kinds of drinks and the menu is very vast to accommodate the different tastes. The store is wide open and lots of light comes in to the store. Overall, they have a good menu that will adjust to any taste or preference. The staff is willing to help. So I'll start by saying the coconut chia pudding brought me here! I love a good chia pudding and there's has been extremely appetizing. It's not too sweet even with the nectar drizzle over the fruits and there's granola that adds a crunch and some sweetness too so it was just right. I also had the steak balance bowl for a tasty breakfast and it worked out really well for me. The steak was seasoned well and cooked perfectly! Definitely something to try! If only there were 5! People working behind the register or perhaps more people in the back? It took 15 minutes+ to get a chicken bowl delivered to my table and thats after they almost gave it to another guy. Not a great start to my first visit. Easch table was dirty i tried to sit at so i asked if they could clean mine. Its never fun and sorta cringey to have to bring faults to their attention. I ordered the thai chicken coconut bowl over rice n veggies. They forgot the cilantro and peanut topping and when i asked about it they did bring it out after a few minutes. The food came hot and does seem fresh but for $17 (i paid extra $1 for more sauce which they forgot the 1st time up) it should be to the brim and correct. Hello Being a new business, I hate to have to be so absolute with only 1 review and decided as well to try again. The buy one get one free deal on uber is just too good to pass up. Thinking maybe I ordered the same thing but requested to remove teriyaki because i can't eat it too much of teriyaki. Requested in stead hot honey. I made a note to make sure the brussle sprouts on the descirption were to be added. I just got two brussle sprouts. Another thing to add, this time tried it with the forbbiden rice. Reply to manager: Having worked for Merrill Lynch for over 10 years on the trading floor and in charge of hosting IPO's for clientele and analysts, I am well aware that most restaurants are owned by investors that start out as young growth companies and hope to become a behemoth like Chipotle. Since you mentioned Chipotle, it's worth noting that if your stated "white, marinated and seasoned chicken" doesn't taste nearly as good as Chipotle's "dark meat chicken", then you might want to check with your chef as to why it came out dry and bland and the steak tough on that particular day. With two out of your 29 review customers that are not going to be repeat customers, it's worth looking into. Original review: This was a one-and-done for our family. They are using the same chicken in every bowl (very bland) and just putting whatever sauce you want on top; thus, the Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl doesn't really have chicken that's been marinating while cooking. Business wise, the margins must be great since they don't really have to cook these individual dishes. It's like Costco strips of chicken cut up with sauce slapped on top. Hubby order a steak sandwich - meat tough and only lukewarm. We wanted to like this place as it's quick and convenient but it would have to be true cooking, even if that meant a higher price point. Two words: False Advertising I normally don't write bad reviews, but this experience warranted it. The food is bland and unreasonably overpriced for the portions that you get. I've never seen a restaurant so brazenly skimpy for the price. So I will start with the pros: staff are very friendly, engaging, and professional. They were the only pleasant part of the experience. Cons: I ordered The Brekkie, which is advertised as a breakfast wrap. I given was a tiny tortilla with sprinkles of filling. I barely saw or tasted any egg. There were like two leaves of arugula and the turkey was sprinkled in like a garnish. It was bizarre. For $10+ I would expect for the tortilla to look like the advertised picture, but it was anything but that. There were no sides or anything that would justify that price and a tiny wrap. Avoid this place at all costs for breakfast. I can't speak for lunch, but I'm highly shocked by the deceptive advertising practices. Suggestions: if you all want to keep the wrap that small, include a small side salad or something, or charge half the price because the wrap I was given today should not be that much money based on the size. Had lunch with a friend and decided to meet here since it's close to both of our work locations. Ordered 2 sandwiches at 1:14 and sat down to wait for our number to be called. The restaurant was not busy - only about 5 people total having lunch. After about 12 minutes, my friend got up to make sure they hadn't called our number because we were busy catching up. They said no, not yet, still working on it. 10 minutes later I get up and take the receipt over and ask what's taking so long to make 2 sandwiches. The employees start talking back and forth to each other, but not to me. They are talking back and forth to each other and no one could figure out what happened to one of the sandwiches. Meanwhile, the tuna sandwich was just sitting there at the window and nobody thought to check to see why it hadn't been delivered. I finally had to ask what's going on because again, nobody was talking to me, the customer. They finally said there was a mixup and they were trying to figure out what happened to the veggie hummus wrap. No I'm sorry about that, we made a mistake, let me give you a refund - NOTHING! Not knowing what they were planning to do, I asked for a refund. I mean, our lunch hour was over at this point. The cashier gave us a refund and finally apologized. The manager, who was sitting at a table near the register, said nothing and did nothing. Guess I'm he didn't care that his employees ruined our lunch.
